Ok, so i know it looks like we're continuously changing things right now, but this is the first change to TBO in 3years
The reason we are making an alteration to TBO is to address the one big critiscm of TBO: It's not inclusive enough. We will change Nominations, the Semi's and then finally have a bigger final. Nominations You will nominate as you have done for the past two TBO's by sending a list of your favourite tracks from each contest [[REMEMBERING THAT WINNERS AQ]] to Mein Fuhrer Tirren. However, in addition to sending a list of contests we will provide a list of countries who have had 2 or more entries reaching the finals during XXI-XXX and you will nominate your favourite track by each country [Provided they are eligible] So, you would not be able to nominate a DNQ'd entry as this is what we have TBO:Rejects for Countries with only one finalist between XXI-XXX will have that entry automatically win the CountryNOMO So, we have two categories of nomination. CountryNOMO and ContestNOMO. You can nominate the same track for both AND NO WINNERS OR DNQ'd TRACKS CAN BE NOMO'd For example: You could nominate I Like That as Ashton's best entry AND as one of your nominations for XXVI. It is likely that entry that top's some CountryNOMO's will also be one of the songs to qualify for TBO under the traditional ContestNOMO system. In this case, the song that Buzzjack deemed to be it's 2nd best entry will be given the TBO slot from the Country NOMO. For Example: The CountryNOMO gave the follow order to the Ashtonise entries: Jessica Mauboy - Forget Your Name Gabrielle Aplin - The Liar And The Lighter Luciana et al - I Like That Cristina Rus - I Don't See Ya Sugababes - Whatever Makes You Happy However Jessica Mauboy has made the TBO:Semi's via the traditional method. So Gabrielle Aplin will make the Semi's also as Ashtons 'best' entry. I know this sounds a little complicated, but this allows us to give everyone a spot in the Semi's. Which just to confuse you further we shall be calling Heats. Of which there will be 4. We will obtain even numbered Grande Finale From the Heats, the top5 will AQ for the final. Joining the 10 Winners. Also in the final will be 10 wildcards made up of the highest scoring 6th-10th placed tracks from the 4 heats. Wildcarding allows us to put through more tracks from a very very very strong heat. The final of 40 songs will then run as normal. --------------------- These alterations mean that every country will have at least one TBO entry, which we fell addresses the issue of inclusiveness rather well. I can imagine you will have many questions, mainly over the new Nomination process, so go ahead! We will be here to answer them and any other questions. |

BASICALLY, simple explanation: every country gets at least one guaranteed entry, the favourite entry of everyone from that country. Standard qualification works as it always has done via the contest nominations, and everyone who goes through those gets their next most popular entry into the finals.

Sounds interesting, and rather complicated. I'll wait until the voting thread goes up to see if I understand it more before asking any questions
When does voting open out of interest? |

That would be preferable.
The sooner we start, the more likely we are to get this done before New Year |

Is there going to be an updated list of entries from everyone so we know who we can vote for?

12 .: 107 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Get Far; H-Boogie - The Radio XXII: 13 .: 095 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Tina Parol - Whos Got Your Money XXIII: 22 .: 055 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Soft Toy Emergency - Critical XXIV: 02 .: 139 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Tinashé & Kissy Sell Out - Come On Over XXV: 30 .: 019 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Japayork - So New XXVI: 27 .: 106 :. Kingdom of Shadow // The Good Natured - Fortune Teller XXVII: 44 .: 050 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Lady Gaga - Glamour Zombie XXVIII: 15 .: 131 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Sunday Girl – Four Floors XXIX: 07 .: 152 :. Kingdom of Shadow // Japayork - Teenagers It's fair to say this hasn't been the Great Kingdom's finest year but I'm pretty proud of some of my entries - especially Japayork, Tinashe, TGN and H-Boogie. BTW this is gonna be the first TBO where a song written/co-written by Margaret Berger hasn't won sad times |
