'Believer' is out there now.



I'll always have time for some Imagine Dragons, but this isn't as instant as their other songs for me. It's good, but feels generic and "Imagine Dragons by numbers". But I'll see how I feel after 5 plays or so.

This hit me right away, so glad they're back!!

What I find funny is that American Authors was originally the rip-off of Imagine Dragons and they already have a (really good) song called 'Believer', lol. But regardless, I'm liking this nearly as much so far and it sounds very promising for the next album!

I always liked Imagine Dragons but it wasn't until I went and saw them at the hydro they became one of my faves and after hearing 'Believer' I have a good feeling about this new album

Omg idk how I didn't know they had a new album, i feel like Smoke and Mirrors was really Underrated compared to their first album so I have high hopes for this, I heard a little bit when a guy was playing it at uni yesterday, I was like hang on that sounds like Imagine Dragons but I don't recognise the song... Now I know why

I really like this, much better than 'Thunder'. I might be tired but does anyone else think the first verse kind of reminds you of the first verses of this?

Whatever It Takes is FAB! At last loving something from them again after being constantly disappointed this era/most of the last era The chorus is fab and the verses are growing pretty quickly *.*

This is great , I was worried this was gonna disappoint me seeing as Thunder and Believer never really clicked with me, but I've listened through about twice and, of course it doesn't compare to Night Visions, but I think it might be an improvement on Smoke + Mirrors.
Yesterday, Start Over, I Don't Know Why and Walking the Wire are all amazing!
I'm so glad this didn't disappoint

First couple of listens and I too am really enjoying it! Need to give it a couple more listens to distinguish a fave or two, but tbh, I'm so taken with 'Whatever It Takes'

Good few tunes on this album! I think rise up, yesterday and walking the wire are my fav album tracks after the first listen, I'm sure some others will grow though

I think it's kinda interesting that Believer and Thunder have charted at #6 in the USA and Australia respectively yet neither singles have really had much effect in the UK. Thunder was doing really well until this last week and it's basically dropped out of the iTunes Top 50 and is declining on Spotify too

They've never really been hugely successful here though. Their back catalogue is impressive in terms of how many Top 40/Top 100 tracks they've had! And only today Believer has been named the best selling song of 2017 not to have reached the Top 40.

Thunder is their third highest charting song, so it's not done THAT bad.

Anyway, this is one of the albums of the year for sure - so so good, not as good as Night Visions for me yet (but that is one of my favourite albums of all time so), but I can see it being up there in a few weeks time Walking The Wire, Whatever It Takes and I'll Make It Up To You in particular are all incredible.

Hopefully that will be the next single, but I feel WIT has been dying for a official single release for ages. Hopefully Radio 1 will jump on board asap!

Ahhh. Great choice. I feel it might be a bit late now though, no matter what they release. Excited for the video anyway! It's already in my Imagine Dragons Top 5 songs tbh.

Definitely.

Their songs always feel bigger than they actually are in the UK tbh. Even 'Radioactive', which is their biggest single. You'd have thought it was a huge top 3 single, not a big middling top 20 one

Yeah. When I say "middling" I meant middle of top 20 haha (even though it reached #12 ) I didn't mean it as an so-so top 20 hit haha.

I only listened to the album a couple months ago so they haven't stuck with me that long, but 'I'll Make It Up To You' really stands out for me

I saw them live last Sunday and they were incredible! They played all of their singles (except 'Roots') and most if not all of Evolve. Much better than I thought they'd be in concert!
