V2 :

YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier.

1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for.
2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range
3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most)
4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks.
5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split.
6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it)

Thank you.

Better than last year though when we just had 5 Platinum albums.

I think Ariana will pass the mark too, probably Tom Walker as well as he has a new version being released and will probably have some promo to go with it. Not sure if anything else that's already released is likely to reach Platinum before year's end. From the new releases, I think Coldplay and Westlife are most likely, potentially Rod Stewart with his Royal Philharmonic Orchestra album too. Michael Ball & Alfie Boe should sell well again although this is their third collaborative release now and I think the interest will continue to decrease, so they may not make Platinum before year's end.

Westlife I'm predicting to open pretty big, they have had that album on pre-order for a year. They will be on everything promo wise I'm sure too. Could see them being plat by Jan.

I don't think Tom Walker can go platinum by the end of year. He hasn't been top 40 since early September so would be a miracle if he somehow managed to do 95k in 9 weeks.

ABBA Gold reaches 100k for the year - there are probably fewer years when it hasn't done that than there are when it has.

It's been available for 6 months longer?

TUN is still top 40 on weekly charts so should overtake by Xmas.
