record of the decade just reminded me of this tune, from before Major Lazer properly became big. It missed the top 40 at the time but deserved better.
also this one from Big Sean and Nicki Minaj which was big in US but went unnoticed in the UK any other examples? |

Drake - Best I Ever Had would be a massive #1 if released now IMO

First one that came to mind is Ellie Goulding's Under the Sheets. She wasn't exactly guaranteed a smash hit back then of course but if that got released post-Starry Eyed, it could've been top 40 minimum!

If Sean Paul had of released Other Side Of Love right now, it'd shoot to #1 with his current relevance and the low sales climate. One day we shall see Seandepol get a solo number one, I am sure.

The early songs from T.I. flopped. Maybe if he was more of a mainstream artist at the time they would have done better.
Examples; Bring 'Em Out {59} Why You Wanna {22} |

Gorgon City - Real
Drake - Forever (Top 10 easy now, even if it did well at the time) Fuse ODG - Azonto Jeremih - Down On Me (again did well, but would do even better) Stormzy - Not That Deep Nelly - Country Grammar Popcaan - Everything Nice Sigma - Rudeboy The Weeknd - Wanderlust |

Pretty sure "Spectrum" would have slated had it been released after "Clarity"
