This unpopular opinion thing has been gaining traction on social media again, so I thought a Drag Race one would be fun. ACTUAL unpopular opinions plz not "Trixie didn't deserve to win AS3!1!1" which everyone thinks My biggest unpopular opinion is that Alyssa Edwards is not funny at all, she was terrible at so much on Season 5 and I am eternally baffled as to how she is such a huge fan fave. She certainly wasn't "robbed" on S5 given the dancing challenge is the only thing she actually did that well on and it's tiring to hear. AS2 I get a bit more, as she only didn't make the final because of Rolaskatox. I guess you could also count the fact I think people do a bit too much in regards to Eureka, like she is a kinda awful person who has to make everything about her and as a person that's tiring af, but you can't deny her talent as a performer and queen, as shown on various challenges and lipsyncs. Agree with every word. I think Eureka is a flawed (perhaps heavily) person but actually with a good heart and is an underrated queen on the show. Alyssa has made me laugh... a handful of times. I am surprised Ginger being robbed seems a popular opinion here.. but I agree! Violet should have been bottom two over Fame in the John Waters challenge (sidenote, Ginger doing 'Eggs' is in the all time top three performances on the show for me). She'd likely have stayed but she wouldn't have got to the final without being bottom two and therefore maybe not as likely for the win. Here's my big one: RaJah O'Hara is the star of season 11. Both in terms of being an iconic talking head and dramatic character. But also underrated in challenges. |

Now that IS an unpopular opinion I will say Ra’Jah had a few nice runways like her MILF Eleganza or Zodiac look but otherwise meh. The nasty attitude just completely ruined her for me.
Also I’m not sure how unpopular this is but I thought the Viv deserved her win! |

I agree about Alyssa, I only ever liked her lipsync with Tatianna, her paparazzi outfit and her backrolls meme. She's overrated and imo for a dancer/choreographer/teacher she was very disappointing in her peformances.

Its funny how popular Vivienne seems to have been with US viewers whereas people in the UK/Europe tended to be put off by her.
I stand by thinking she was a nasty piece of work , as well as the closest thing to a plant. She's lucky she befriended Baga to play off bc alone what has she got besides impressions? |

Oh Viv >>>>> Baga for me. I loved all Viv’s looks (bar that weird grinchy one :’)) and challenge performances. Baga impressed me like once on the runway and her humour fell flat for me after a few episodes. I wish Cheryl, Blu or Sumting (yes I went there) had been in the final instead

I didn't like The Vivienne either, but I understand she did well and this isn't RuPaul's Most Likeable Queen Race
Charlie Hides shouldn’t have been bottom in the episode she went home. But it was right for her to go early if she was never going to bother lipsyncing. |

there’s an undeniable problem with racism on the show and with fans Tea, tbh a lot of prejudices and just in general shoving drag into certain boxes (usually twinks who can "pass" and look feminine) but to me they're fans of just Drag Race and don't truly appreciate drag for the plethora of things it can be. Drag can be literally anything and it's such a shame to see fans shitting on bio queens or trans women doing drag just because Drag Race dosn't represent them. And without the black trans women who pioneered drag culture, we wouldn't even have Drag Race! I think there's an element of misogyny too tbh, toxic white gays kicked up a bit of a storm over women being on the makeover episode, and indeed the celebrity episodes, the ones who stan the likes of Valentina, Plastique Tiara and Naomi Smalls, and think that's the only valid way to do drag. The whole point of drag is that it's for everyone which Celebrity Drag Race has shown, t can be anything and can't be limited. In actual fact it's the cis women who have been showcased who are probably the best allies and support drag queens a hell of a lot more than the toxic entitled gays It's just funny how I didn't see anyone bat an eyelid at attractive straight men doing drag yet Madison Beer or Vanessa Williams tries and it's a problem suddenly?! The fans are so frustrating in general a lot of the time! |

Disagree with the last one just for how weird and mean her comments in Untucked about Trixie were? I am FAR from a stan of Trixie but just talking over Kim’s emotional moment to come for someone so unnecessarily was really uncalled for |

Idk if the Priyanka one is unpopular, I'd agree with that anyway but it's weird because I don't think she deserved either of her challenge wins (Lemon or Scarlett for Not Sorry Aboot It for sure, makeover maybe Priyanka but I think Jimbo honestly) but she did deserve the win overall? Like it just wouldn't feel right if she didn't win looking back, she really fits as a Drag Race winner.
