Will we get an Adele album?
Who will sing the next James Bond film theme? Is Rihanna coming back? Will LadBaby get a third Cmas number one? Who else do you predict to have a good year and who will flop? What new chart rule will the OCC introduce? Any other questions ask below and we’ll try to predict and then see how we did at the end of the year. |

I fail to see what Ed Sheeran could bring to a Bond theme. He doesn't have the voice and none of his music resembles the grand scale of Bond music.
I get that the Bond producers have been moving towards current big names but at least Adele and Sam Smith were fitting choices. The only "of the moment" pop singer I could see potentially pulling one off would be Dua Lipa who was rumoured not so long back. I'd rather have someone like Lana Del Rey or Florence + the Machine though or perhaps allow Muse or Radiohead to finally be given it. |

There will be a new Arctic Monkeys album which will return them to a rock sound, I'd say probably like Suck It and See.

OCC massively change up the charts in January, hopefully by introducing a streaming cap of 10:1 and scrapping ACR.
Drake will release a new single early in the year and get a multi-week #1 out of it, simultaneously blocking the (Dua Lipa) Bond theme from the Top spot. Burna Boy will tailor his new music (if he's releasing some) to the UK market and hence have his breakthrough solo hit. Juice WRLD will get a posthumous Top 10. The Euro 2020 anthem by Martin Garrix will feature Anne-Marie or someone equally uninspiring and hence he'll get a Top 10 hit out of it. There will be a collaboration between at least two members of One Direction, most likely Louis and Liam, and it will soar into the Top 10 despite the fact that neither of them are able to even get a Top 100 solo hit by themselves any more as we've all forgotten about them. |

I think you made the exact same prediction last year (you may be right whenever they do eventually release another album ofc x). I'll try and think of some predictions soon so I have something to look back on next year and see how psychic I was |

Regarding Ed Sheeran I agree with your statement, Lana Del Rey or Florence + the Machine sounds ideal to me, Muse would also be an excellent contender. |

"Tones And I" will not have a single entry into the top 20
Aitch will have a #1 single either as a lead artist or a featured artist The charts will continue to be boring and the longest running #1 will be 10 weeks long It will be December 2020 when you read this post after you totally forgot it ever existed |

I think 2020 will be way more exciting tbh.
I can see Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Bieber, Bruno Mars, Adele and The Weeknd all releasing an album. I can see Rihanna may potentially shock with her album. Ariana won’t release a solo album but I think she’ll be a featured artist on a moderately successful track. Camilas Romance album will stabilise. Jess Glynne will get a UK #1 again. Cheryl will release at least one new single but no new album. Ed will have yet another big hit but no new album from him. Dua will get a UK #1 album. Selena will get a UK top ten album finally. Stormzy will be the first #1 of 2020 on both singles and albums. Taylor Swifts Lover album will outsell reputation. Streaming ratios will change yet again! |

I can see Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Bieber, Bruno Mars, Adele and The Weeknd all releasing an album. All of these were predicted last year as well The Weeknd's album will presumably definitely be happening though and surely at least a couple of the others will finally show up as well. |

My predictions for Taylor Swift - she'll release more "Lover" singles 'Cruel Summer', 'The Man', 'Cornelia Street' & 'Miss Havana & The Heartbreak Prince' (in this order) and maybe 'Paper Rings' wedged somewhere in between and bring new life to the album & become a consistent seller throughout the year and outsell 'Reputation'.

Post-album singles are near enough a thing of the past now (apart from songs being pushed on the same week their parent album comes out if that counts), zero chance she'll push more than 1 or 2 if that. And even if she does they won't turn into hits, highly doubt 'The Man' or 'Cruel Summer' would be able to beat their existing peaks. There's a prediction from me x |

Roxanne will be the Barking of 2020* and get a few weeks at #2 without topping the Chart.
Billie Eilish first UK #1 but as a feature. Second year in a row with no dance #1 single. Ne-Yo returns with a surprise top 10. LadBaby scores a hat-trick of Xmas #1s. This post has been edited by dobcember: 18th December 2019, 12:06 AM |

Lots of big artists should come back this year, really curious to see if Rihanna and Gaga deliver... Gaga has had some great songs recently but all have been downtempo ballads, so curious she can have another pop dance hit again like her early hits
No one has mentioned it but Lana del Rey is supposed to have a new album in 2020, called White Hot Forever Also Frank Ocean could drop his new album any day now on the downside, sure Drake will come back :/ and I guess Ed Sheeran too :/ wonder if George Ezra will also come back this year? He took it pretty slowly between 1st and 2nd album... |

I'm rubbish at predictions but the one thing I will predict is that Ladbaby will get a third consecutive Christmas #1. I'll also predict number one singles by Drake, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, Adele and Justin Bieber. Rihanna will probably miss out, she's not as big as she once was.

Drake's recent single missed out too. Just saying, nothing is guaranteed.
