The “Work” singer is also baking in the huge success of her new album ANTI which went platinum in less than a day of its release. The RIAA has since given her her platinum certification for the album, as well as, a plaque for her 100 million singles milestone.

“Not 1 but 2 @Rihanna milestones: 1st artist in Gold & Platinum history to earn 100M song awards & #ANTI is #Platinum,” the RIAA tweeted.

Rihanna thanked her legion of fans for the support and helping her reach the milestone.

“Navy y’all did this i$h!!! FIRST & ONLY @RIAA certified with 100M song awards & #ANTI is PLATINUM!! Thank you for the love!” she wrote on her Twitter timeline on Thursday.

Rihanna is getting ready to hit the road for her ANTI world tour starting this month in San Diego.

RiRi will also be performing at the Grammys on Monday.

I'm confused about what this actually means. Has no one sold 100 million singles before, or is it just that nobody has been certified before?

She must have the highest single sales in the world, though I assume that includes streaming. That's such a big deal. Well done Rhi!

Maybe it's just from the digital age though? Hmmmm

That seems bizarre when you consider all of the greats who have been selling music for SO long, and continue to trickle-sell internationally. Not sure I believe.
