 As always, in the next few weeks leading up to Eurovision week itself, the various OGAE fan clubs will reveal their favourite 10 songs from this year's contest and awards points using Eurovision's classic 12 to 1 points system. All of the votes will get announced via ESC Today and the official OGAE International website. I'm predicting a Russia win in the OGAE results (although I didn't see Grande Amore doing much in advance of last year and that stormed it so I guess the Old Gay Appreciators of Eurovision can still surprise).

I'd expect a runaway victory for Russia here also with perhaps France and Spain in the top 3. I'm still not quite getting the fascination with Australia, I'm not sure if they'll be able to maintain this strong start.

I guess they could do it in this in the way Il Volo unexpectedly held off Mans last year to everyone's surprise, but I can't see France matching Sweden's Eurovision result from last year. Unfortunately the live performances I've seen just aren't convincing enough, I even wonder if he could do a Molly but not quite as low as her. Very much hope to be wrong, I'll be intrigued to see the reaction after the "longer preview" of the big 5 dress rehearsals get shown in the semi-finals if Amir can maintain his favouritism with the bookies throughout the rehearsals but I'm getting ahead of myself here! |

I only had Ira 8th in my predictions I made a few weeks ago, very radio-friendly song but it may not translate onto stage very well not that that affects the OGAE results at all. With her draw slot she'll be safely through now but I agree that she will more than likely miss the top 10. She'll probably be top 10 with the juries in the final, juries love Malta anyway and they will even more with such a commercial song - assuming she doesn't get an awful draw as that will even affect juries a little in a 26-song final - so she might even be in contention for top 5 or so by the end of the jury voting, but she'll plummet in the televoting I would think and maybe end up in the early to mid teens.

Yes. Malta is the fan favourite that clearly isn't. Didnt Aminata get zero in last years OGAE? I don't pay much attention to them after that farce!
