Out 13th November.
Has this actualy been officaly confirmed anywhere? Everything I've read so far is just rumours. Bit early with this thread?
Can't believe they haven't had a 'third single' from an album since early 2009.
So i'm guessing it's not a ballad considering we have Travie McCoy on the track. Great, that'll REALLY help boost album sales for the Christmas period.
Travie is practically a one-hit wonder. Out of all the rappers they could have used (Plan B?), they go with him? URGH!!
And anyway, why do they need a rapper?? First Higher and now this??
I really hope this is not the third single, a ballad would be perfect (assuming this isn't) releasing a 'summer anthem' in winter would be silly and like mentioned before a ballad would help sell the album, like Issues did for Chasing Lights. I'd prefer if this was like a fourth/fifth single or something because fifth single's dont sell THAT well, however it might do well with Travie McCoy on the track.
Am I being dumb? But that article says "they['ve] cut a song called "The Way You Watch Me"" yet it's now a rumoured single?
I do hope the album is NOT out in 2012. I want to sing along with the songs on the tour. I doubt the girls will want the crowd to be half-dead during their first ever arena tour and not know the words...
But if the girls themselves have said that it's coming out in November, why would the insider say in 2012?
In terms of the single I read (maybe on here or on their fansite) that they are releasing a slower song for their next single, along the same tempo as Issues, so this would kinda of blow the current rumoured song out of the water? As I say, only rumours.
2012 seems odd, when The Sats have said on more than one occasion that the album is slated for November 2011.
A summer anthem released in winter? Right... lol, what are these girls like.
The girls have confirmed the album will be released in November numerous times.
By summer anthem I imagine it will be something like What's My Name, Price Tag, I'm Into You etc. - especially with Travie on it. So something very different from them again!
There's no way that they can tour an album without actually releasing said album.. that would make no sense at all.
I really don't think this is the next single I think it's probably another track they've done with Lucas Secon
i really like the title.
it reminds me of some sort of bittersweet song (Missing You/Forever Is Over much!?)
Ooh, Heart Takes Over! Sounds brilliant!
"BIG" sounds promising! If it's a ballad, I hope it's really powerful sounding.
Hearts Take Over definitely like a ballad I mean I know we can't judge on just a title, but for example Issues and Here Standing both sound like ballad titles and All Fired Up, Notorious and Up all sound like uptempos. Just a point But I'm hoping for a ballad anyway, a proper big piano ballad!
So we should be hearing this in the next few weeks i'm hoping.
Song Premieres
Notorious - May 13th
All Fired Up - July 22nd
Hearts Take Over - 30th September?
May seem silly but i calculated the date between Notorious and All Fired Up's premieres which was 70 days, then did the same gap of time for the next single and got September 30th. Obviously it's not going to be the exact date, but here's hoping it's around that time.
It just feels weird seeing "3rd" single in the title, after being so used to each era only having two singles.
im sure twice ive seen the title 'Here Standing - 3rd Single'
neither came to anything.
that hurt.
Sounds promising, it has to be 'BIG' or it will get lost in the fourth quarter!
Here Standing is one of my fave Sats songs, so I'd love another ballad in that vein
I was hoping that Single 3 would be a single produced by the girls themselves.
It sounds ballady, I hope it is.
Of Course it's a ballad like Liam said you can always tell from a title on what's a ballad and what's not.
I would much prefer Smelly Cat to be recorded by The Saturdays and released as a single.
I hope it has a Christmas themed video. Unlikely, I know, but i'm hoping for snow! And I hope it's really dramatic and emotional complete with an X-Factor performance which includes the "falling gold sparkles" behind them and a huge standing ovation followed by it going to #1.
(everything I wanted in Here Standing )
They need a song what shows how strong their vocals are, Like one of Adele's songs.
Well yes not always, for example Criminal sounds like an uptempo to me, yet it's a Britney ballad. And Jealousy sounds like a ballad but it's a Will Young electropop track. And What Makes You Beautiful sounds like a soppy love song, instead it's a shitty Wand Erection pile of shit. That's uptempo.
Hearts Take Over deffo sounds like a ballad title to me, but of course that doesn't stop being another banger. I can see them going different though, and from electropop ----> electro house/trance pop -----------> ? a ballad would be nice.
Yeah, there's no way they'd release three uptempos in a row. They haven't had a ballad since 'Issues' and considering how much everyone goes on about them lacking in album sales, they'd be fools not to launch the album with one (especially during winter when ballads are popular).
I don't really see where you're all coming from with this whole 'I can tell if it's a ballad or not' thing.
It reminds me of 'When Love Takes Over' and that's not a ballad is it?
Scherz has a point, the title gives nothing away for me personally anyway. When they where asked if it was a balad in a few interviews they actually said "All Fired Up is the danciest we'll get" which has no real relation to their next single. It has more of a chance of being a mid-tempo track if I'm honest.
I didn't say it was a ballad, I said the title sounds like it may be a ballad. It could well be a mid-tempo like Issues, I'd also say it's more likely than a proper ballad.
I keep singing 'heart takes oveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr' ('and my hearts not gonna break' )
i hope we get some news soon, its meant to be released in November, and its October on Saturday!
Rochelle has tweeted that they are shooting the video this week and that its a power ballad!!
If this doesn't have a winter/christmas theme I think I will cry
They should release a ballad post-album to keep it selling steadily once it's out there.

Full news... released 13th November!
B Side is called So Stupid
The cover makes them look like they all have the exact same body with their face photo shopped on and their skin tone changed for each member.
Glad to see we'll be hearing it so soon though.
Rochelle has WELL pointy elbows!
The artwork this era (besides the hideous 'Notorious' cover) has been excellent.
Molly has surely been photoshopped to have Frankie's legs again? And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Molly and Una have the same pair of legs photoshopped on too... It's a nice cover anyway, and I hope the song is as well to fit!
Was just thinking remember a while back when we discovered a track they recorded called 'Stupid' mabye it didn't make the album and they put it as a b-side?
They're still waiting for a #1 and won't be getting one with this, it's against the Children in Need single & Rihanna.
Quite looking forward to hearing it though. Hope it's better than AFU which I never 'got'.
Hideous cover. I do believe this is Una's first time being in the middle though lol
Thank the heavens Una is finally in the middle!
However, that has got to be the most fake cover I have ever seen by them. They look photo shopped to hell and back, and again, why do they feel the need to be the same height as each other? The outfits look like they've been photo shopped on too as well
It's a nice cover though. It makes Notorious look completely out of the place though.
Tomorrow! Hopefully it's before I go to school, otherwise I'll have to go in the library at break and listen[/totallon]! SO EXCITED!
I'll be on the train to college when this premiers. Yay.
I hadn't realised the girls are linking arms.. just like paper chains.. like you cut out at Christmas! And funnily enough, the URL of the picture has "PaperChain" in it! Anyone else see a theme emerging?
Exciting, just in time before I go to college
I'll be in the car to College, humf. I hope it gets played again later in the day, we normally get the radio while working.
Also, why are people wetting themselves with excitement at Una being in the middle?
The lyric video will be online straight after the premier their official site said. Well it didn't say that, but they said we'd be able to hear it straight after the premier.
Mollie said they're shooting the video in Iceland
Anyway, they just played the track It's very good, it's kind of a nice mix of Issues and Here Standing. A bit disappointing it wasn't more of an epic power ballad, and I wouldn't say it was quite as good as AFU yet, but with time it may grow. I can see me prefering this to Notorious before long tbh.
I really liked it, definitely more the sort of Saturdays sound that I appreciate compared to their last couple of singles, even if it's a bit of a regression of sound compared to those two, and indeed is a little Issues meets Here Standing production wise, I agree with Liam. I've only heard it once and it's already stuck in my head so that's got to be a good thing.
If there's a criticism I guess it's that it's not the sort of song you release an album off the back of but it's nice to finally see them release another ballad, hope it can stick around like Issues did.
I think it's beautiful, love it. Makes me think of winter.
I LOVE IT, makes me think of winter ! The video should be epic! Apparently the album is getting released on 7th November. If so it will go up against Rihanna,Olly Murs, Pixie Lott & Cher llyod.
if anyone wants very good quality of the song PM me! it's itunes format!
This is such a refreshing change from them. It's not another up-beat track, it's a very well-suited Christmas/winter track. Good call, I actually really like it, it's simple and effective. The video should be awesome from what we've heard.
Nick Can you pm me please, I will download the song in November but I need this on my iphone now!!
This is just brilliant!
PM me please )))
If you could PM me too Nick I'd be really grateful. Cannot wait to get my signed copy
This has been in my head all day, I can see Radio eating this up! I don't want to get my hopes up as The Saturdays could bomb with this album which will be horrific though! I think this song is better than any ballad I have heard from The Saturdays and wow at the video being shot in Iceland.
When I read 'Iceland' I just imaged them filming the video in a snowy landscape. How random of me
OK, another couple of listens and I'm in love Brilliant choice of ballad single, should stay about longer than AFU and sell the album well!
Beautiful! Got me on first listen, I ADORE it!
But...where's Mollie's solo?!
Oh, I'm in love with this. It's much better than 'All Fired Up' and 'Notorious' for me on first listens. It's very wintry, perfect for the time of its release.
pm me please someone?
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Seriously. I'm a big sucker for a big power ballad! This ticks all the boxes from what I want out of a Saturdays ballad. Really, REALLY hoping it's a big hit for them. Iceland seems the perfect country to film a video for it!
Personally... found that really disappointing.
Could I poss have the mp3 pm'd to me please??? thanks! think its pretty good. nice change. catchy too
I love it! Already prefer it to 'All Fired Up'. I'm so glad they're finally releasing a ballad again.
check ur pm's y'all!
Really love it! Great return to form for Vanessa. I just hope she can sing it live.
I like this I don't really see it being a big seller by their standards though.
I really love it! Hope it can be as big as, if not bigger than 'Issues'!
I really love this on first listen - whereas it took me a few listens to love Notorious and AFU! I hope this does as well as Issues. Also loving how it is very Vanessa and Rochelle centered, but missing the little Una middle 8!
This is where my heart takes over, over
Loving it already! Really catchy , but I don't know if they'll be able to pull this off live.. I think Vanessa's been a bit screechy lately and the chorus is very shouty, as someone said too....
It should go top 10, maybe top 5... And it'll drop like a stone like AFU and MY - We all thought AFU would have 5 weeks top 10, look how wrong we were !
Well this is something rather amaziballs.
The chorus sounds too much like 'When love takes over' for me.
Just heard it; I quite like it. At the moment I prefer 'All fired up' though.
am i only hearing vanessa and rochelle in this song?
Fabulous. They have really brought it home this era so far, haven't they?
I can only hear Vanessa and Rochelle. Im disapointed that Una didnt get a solo
I can't stop listening to this! Seriously, it's just what I wanted from them at this point, a ballad was long overdue.
To be deadly honest, the song sounds like any 2 rnb female singers. I swear Una has a little solo? Maybe I haven't listened to her voice properly but yeah it's nothing special now considering is a ballad without mind blowing adlibs from Vanessa to set their vocal standards higher. It's actually a really nice song but it's no 'Issues, Denial' or 'Here Standing'. I'd rather hear Frankie and Mollie and more Una as well without Vanessa's adlibs than losing 3 other voices as well as Vanessa's ad libs. It makes no sense.
This is an ace ballad from them, far more respectable than the terrible 'Issues'. This sounds like a #1 to me at any other time of year for them, I'm confident this will be another big regardless.
It's really difficult to feel the full atmosphere of this track when you're trying to listen to it in 28°C heat... in Otcober (ok.. at the end of September )
Who sings the line before the final chorus? (To me) it sounds like a hybrid of Vanessa and Una and it's really confusing me. It starts off sounding like Vanessa but finishes with Una's tone.
i don't like it, i think it's my least favorite sats single with ego & higher... :S
i hate that only V and R sings in it :@
This is fast becoming one of my favourites by them. It couldn't come at a more perfect time of year for them. I'm really hoping this is as big as I hope/think it will be!

Good News Sats fans
From Rihanna's Official Facebook
Teardrop will be #1 for sure, but will be REALLY frontloaded.
I don't even care about this release. I've played the song twice since it premiered, and I can just see this getting our hopes up again only for it to be a huge dissapointment chart wise.
You've missed out One Direction.
So glad they are doing a radio tour at this moment! I hope it can help Al Fired Up's airplay as well, but at least they should get the usual pre-Notorious level of aiplay with this new single.
I'd rank their singles like ;;
01 Higher
02 My Heart Takes Over
03 Work
04 Missing You
05 If This Is Love
06 All Fired Up
07 Up
08 Issues
09 Ego
10 Just Can't Get Enough
11 Notorious
12 Forever Is Over
I hope they have a chance of an XF slot, even if it's not on release week. Cee Lo Green is the first guest performer along with Matt Cardle this weekend. Cee Lo had one #1 single here in the UK, a platinum debut album here, and the rest of his singles have peaked in the top 20. IMO The Sats have had far more success here than him, it's irritating to see them getting snubbed, especially when they're a British act, there are girlbands on the show in the groups category and the girls themselves have been successful. I mean, they're hardly unknown - they're usually in the media near enough on a daily basis!
I know it's not the be all or end all, but it would be nice to see them on a prime slot for once. Peter Loraine needs to get on his knees, beg and offer hard cash.
Rihanna moved the We Found Love release forward to yesterday so that's her out the way in terms of competition in release week. So they're just going up against the Children In Need single now aren't they? Plus entries from the week before.
the new song is nice enough and another top ten hit i am sure. It is no Here Standing though....
The thing is, they were on Xtra Factor last year too so Simon/the producers are obviously aware of them. Rochelle is also dating a succesful X-Factor contestant, Tulisa is friends with The Sats, Gary is aware of them (they supported him on tour) and The Sats themselves have a good relationship with ITV (the documentary on ITV2, all the promo they do on ITV shows)....it just seems weird that they don't get to perform.
The reason that The Saturdays aren't on The X Factor are because they're not critically acclaimed - look at Girls Aloud, it took them five years to finally get critical acclaim for their work, and unless The Saturdays get given some genuinely good material, they won't be. All this "Britain's Biggest Girlband" stuff is rubbish, when we all know they're only it by default.
Gotta agree with Scherz on this one. Yes they are by default the biggest group but it's not like no-one else has came along during their time in the charts. Plenty of girl group competition for them has come and gone.
And regarding xfactor, it really is swings and roundabouts with this. 'Notorious' didn't do that well, but give it the benefit of the doubt as on air/on sale was a huge contributor to screwing that up (btw, funny how on air/on sale is now "dead in the water" as it's been abandoned). 'All Fired Up' started off great.. but started falling and we're still waiting to see how that goes. Their ticket to xfactor this year really was the sucess they have this year pre-xfactor, and so far it's not looking that great imo...
Yeah, they really need to start picking up the awards and getting more critical recognition. If they got nominated for a Brit Award or something they'd probably have more of a chance. They've only won one award in their career.
I don't see how they could egnore that they have 10 Top 10 singles (half of GA's record), 3 Top 10 albums, 3m sales. But if GA is anything to go by they didn't get a slot untill they where 5yrs into their career.
NO! Please don't create a Facebook page. If they only receive like 128 likes, then well....yeah.
That moment when your world comes crumbling down...
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a344334/one-direction-announce-new-single-got-to-be-you.html
I have doubts they will make the top 10, I really do. They're up against strong competition from release week and previous weeks.
Should radios be playing it at this stage ? Or is it too early ?
Surprised to see that My Heart Takes Over has still not entered the rolling 100 yet!
they have been on Real Radio and Lecistershire radio i recall this week.. so hopefully airplay will pick up next week!
also, we should get some news on the video soon!
The video will premiere next week, the day is yet to be confirmed.
TheSaturdaysThe Saturdays
Just seen the #MyHeartTakesOver video and we LOVE it!! Ahhhh....can't wait for you guys to see it...next week!!! xx
14 hours agoFavoriteRetweetReply
It was shot in Iceland, Mollie was getting ready to fly out when the song premiered.
I really think they should bring this forward by a week or push the single and album back a week each!
On their release week there are:
One Direction
JLS
The Collective
Westlife
Ed Sheeran
and probably some that haven't been confirmed yet. So if they don't they would need a miracle to go top 3! =S It's pretty likely that the X-Factor performances will be 1D and JLS as well, just because they came from the show. It's so annoying how you can't get a slot unless your from the show, from the USA or The Wanted.
JLS' single is out November 7th, isn't it?
But yeah, still tough competition, mainly from 1D and The Collective.
The Saturdays
Countdown begins to the 'My Heart Takes Over' video!! Teaser coming your way TOMORROW!!! xx

If The Saturdays are up against those 2, I can't see them getting a slot, unless they have 3 guests that night. Westlife will in all likelihood be on there and One Direction will be without a doubt too.
True, but if it came down to a choise between the 2 I do think they'd still pick Westlife.
i love saturdays, but they need success, only chasing lights era was huge, the rest flopped... if this don't reach platinum they're done
Doesn't have Louis anything to do with Westlife? If that's the case I'm sure they'll be performing (even though they're far from their glory days).
So, Issues Mark II thennn.
Looks so much better than Issues, though. It looks really classy, dramatic and 'natural'. Lots of beautiful shots there. Could see this being played tons over the winter.
Vanessa and Mollie look bloody sensational.
Im not kidding you right watch this..
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DLv1FbrllzU?version=3&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DLv1FbrllzU?version=3&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
and then this...
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1hTwi8qhfMQ?version=3&hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1hTwi8qhfMQ?version=3&hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Same much!?
Not really no.
Really love the teaser, perfect for winter - can't wait to see the real thing!
Also, haven't Westlife changed labels or something? But Unfortunately I don't think the Sats will get a slot
The video looks fantastic. Beautifully shot. All memories of those Missing You beach scenes now firmly banished.
Ep to pre-order on iTUnes So Stupid sounds amazing!!!
The girls have truly outdone themselves with that video. It's so mature, beautiful and natural. Their chemistry as a group of friends as well as bandmates is effortless. And from the beggining the girls have always had a classy demure about them and it really shows in this video which is Issues II but better. They're conveying emotions is so believeable and they're really growing. This is probably the highlight of this year for me when it comes to the girls and what they've done so far, can't wait to see the rest of the video! Frankie always shines looks wise indeed and I'm also impressed with Vanessa and Rochelle. Beauts!! Love their outfits too
Full video has premiered. I love it! Made me click with the song even more. The shot of the horses is really nice too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgmoYgpMNX8
Oh, and 'So Stupid' sounds fantastic! Listen here/pre-order MHTO on iTunes: http://bit.ly/MHTOiTunes
Amazing videos!
Stunning video, love it
Simple and effective video. They all look amazing
Beautiful video! This is easily their best song of the era so far.
Didnt really click with this song at first but now that the video is out I love it. Its is properly the most mature and together they have looked as a band. I have never been a big fan of Vanessa but she looks stunning in this video, and I love Una but she needs to get rid of that hat lol. Love the scenes with the bit of snow too
Lovely video. Only thing I don't like is that the miming is very 'soft' which doesn't really match the shouty chorus.
Vanessa looks f***ing stunning.
#54 on iTunes pre-orders already.
EDIT - now #49.
Really nice video, should definitely get everyone in the winter and christmas mood, thumbs up to whoever thought iceland would be a good place to shoot the vid! such a beautiful country with a very dramatic landscape that fits the song very well. It reminds me a little bit of sophie ellis bextors video for today the sun's on us as that was filmed in iceland too.
Good to see The Saturdays already so high on pre-orders another top 5 me thinks! I would love their promotion to be Alan Carr, Children in Need & X Factor
they should do a 'Missing You' again and bombard every friggin TV show with this bad boy!
that's good! i hope this sells well regardless of chart position!
Pre-orders do that though. All the core fanbase will pre-order in the first few days before dropping down the iTunes album chart. The Wanted have been availble a little while longer to pre-order which is why they're probabbly lower.
Not bad video I guess. It's growing as a song but nowhere near the best IMO. Whats the need to have autotune too
Loving this at the moment. Probably their best single so far imo.
Really hoping it does well for them...even if it doesn't get a brilliant peak, I hope it sticks around for a while - that seems to be their problem
The Saturdays are a weird act. They manage to sell quite a bit, but are never able to stick around as much. I think that's why they have a problem with getting on shows like X Factor and stuff. At least The Wanted have longevity. But meh. As long as each single surpasses the other I don't really care and this is definitely their 3rd best single for me, to date. (behind 'Higher' and 'Ego'!) It's just the ballad version of 'Higher'! Am I the only one that can sing "So when I speak listen, this is my decision..." etc.. over the top of the chorus on this?!
I am still annoyed Higher is struggling to sell 300,000 it really should become their third single in a month or two though
I hope this sells better than Notorious & All Fired Up
not been playlisted by R1 this week
we should get some news regarding promotion soon though..
It wasn't really expected to be playlisted though, If it's not been playlisted next week then it will be a worry, It's scary that they have done a radio tour and the song's still not 100 in Airplay.

^^ that UKairplaychart.co.uk or whatever is is useless though when it comes to anything outside 'their' Top 40. I mean look at their video airplay chart the other week, Sats 2wks at #1 and they where at #6-#13 something like that?
Radio 1 playlisted All Fired Up 4wks pre-release and that went C-B-B-A (A-List for the release week, not on the release week - remember their playlist is anounced 5 days before the new playlist is in use) and the same happened for Notorious (leading up to the 'focus' release date). Hopefully it'll be added on Wednesday to become effective the week after.
This is a complete disaster!
Sadly I can't see this doing well
It's BY FAR their best single to date imo...& It's not getting any airplay.
Capital haven't even played the song once, bit of a p*sstake considering they have been at each of the stations lately giving out gossip etc..
This could all go horribly wrong, as this is the single that should be helping sell albums especially as the album's out a week later.
I'm just hoping this turns out to be a massive hit on the back of word of mouth & video play, then maybe Radio stations will jump on board.
I haven't heard this on the radio yet and I haven't even seen it on the TV, it's so annoying when they do this!!! If it was a current (from last years show) X-factor act they would play it none stop!
Radio 1's C-List everyone, Thank god. I think MHTO has the possibility of top five tbh, there's only two other songs that will beat them on release week IMO (Bolded the tracks that are likely to do well)
A-List
Ed Sheeran – Lego House (Although it's already available, so will probably peak before official release)
C-List
The Collective – Teardrop
One Direction – Got To Be You
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Monarchy Of Roses
The Saturdays – My Heart Takes Over
Snow Patrol – This Isn't Everything You Are
NONE
Tom Vek - Someone Loves You
The Twilight Sad – Sick
Westlife – Lighthouse
Wild Beasts - Reach A Bit Further
Chris Brown - She Ain't You
Grouplove – Lovely Cup
Hyde & Beast - You Will Be Lonely
DJ Shadow feat Little Dragon - Scale It Back
Iyaz feat Travie McCoy – Pretty Girls
Jess Mills - Silent Space
Laurent Wery feat Swift Kid and Dev - Hey Hey Hey (Pop Another Bottle)
Lethal Bizzle feat Jamal Hadaway - Look Up To The Sky
Nightwish – Storytime (CDS)
Oh Land - White Nights
Pajama Club - Daylight
Pitbull feat Chris Brown - International Lover
Portishead - Chase The Tear
Puppini Sisters - Hollywood
Very glad for The Sats, I think they should get another top 5 too
Glad to see it's playlisted on Radio 1. I think this will be another top 5 for them, but considering Frankie is in a clinic, for an unknown reason and with no idea of when she's coming out, promotion may be the only problem for the campaign.
Pleased it's made the C-List, and it'll probably go C-B-B-A just like Notorious and All Fired Up.
What do you get when All Fired Up meets My Heart Takes Over?
'My Heart's All Fired Up' - http://soundcloud.com/2nd-adventure/the-saturdays-my-hearts-all
Ooft. I love that remix! Well done 2A! I do think before Rochelle's verse comes in, maybe you could extend the AFU instrumental a little? I think it comes in too soon after the chorus for that sort of track. But good going so far
Thanks for the feedback on the mix guys . I've also done a remix for it (as apposed to the mashup) which will be finished next month.
Also, HMV and Amazon are selling the un-signed coppies of the phsyical CD for My Heart Takes Over.. but for £5 (as apposed to past prices of £1.99).
Haven't heard it on the radio at all yet. Seems to have been forgotten about!
I have not heard this on the radio either yet, Capital usually love the Saturdays and I have not heard it once on there. I know the Uk airplay is not a accurate of the airplay but it does give you an indication. My Heart Takes Over is so radio friendly as well !

They're on Loose Women on the 18th November and also on Alan Carr on the 6th November.
I knew they would get on Alan Carr, it's quite a bit before the single release and album release though... Lets just hope we get more promotion news.
I think it's a wise move that their doing the promo a bit earlier. They did that with Missing You too on Alan Carr, I think? This way it's a pretty dead cert that airplay will pick up so My Heart Takes Over will be more 'out there'.
They're turning on the Xmas Lights for London in Oxford Street on 1st November - quite a feat considering they were turning on the likes of Chester's a few years ago - no offence to anyone from the Chester area haha! Spice Girls, Sugababes and Leona have turned the lights on in Oxford St in the past.
The girls are also performing MHTO there too, along with All Fired Up and Higher.
So, so far:
Tuesday 1st November - Oxford St Xmas Lights
Sunday 6th November - Alan Carr
Friday 18th November - Loose Women
I bet they're thrilled to do the Oxford Lights! As I kid I remember watching Spice Girls turn them on.
That's a nice honour for them!
Moves up to the B list on Radio 1 this week, hopefully A next week, airplay really needs to pick up, pronto.
I'd rather the support is there for them when or after it's released so it's not too front loaded to be honest.
Radio Airplay

Television Airplay
29. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over.
Not Accurate, gives a good description though, very worrying for The Saturdays.
Of course, but the single needs some decent airplay before the release to generate some sales outside of the fanbase. I don't feel like there's any buzz for this single at all and that worries me. I think it's a great song with a video to follow but I just don't see this doing great tbh...
I dunno. I'm getting a really weird and good vibe about this single... The lack of radio support seems to be baffling, but I'm still quietly confident that this will be their biggest hit this era...
You can blame Notorious for the tumble of their radio support. Not specifically that single, but how they released it (on air/ on sale) and the promo schedule they did based around that bizzare single campaign is the reason why they're not supported much.
Their résumé lately isn't looking great. And it's not like they've just sat around and done nothing about it either. At least they went on a weeks (2wks?) radio tour for My Heart Takes Over, and not even that got the stations playing it! Bizzare.
'My Heart Takes Over' has moved up to the B-list on Radio 1...
Good news moving up to B List.
this thread feels quiet
There's absolutely no buzz for this single at all. I've seen it twice on a music channel since it's premiere, and not heard it on the radio once.
I'm quite worried also. It's not on Virgin Media's Music on Demand.. I search for it every day in the hope of seeing it.
I never see it on TV and I've never heard it on radio. Considering this is the track that launches the album, they should be absolutely everywhere.
I see it on 4music nearly every day in either the fresh music top 20, or 4music top 10
I've seen it 3 times on the TV and heard it once or twice on the radio! Hope the Alan Carr performance can up the airplay.
I've heard it several times on Radio 1.
Also - Alan Carr tonight! 10pm, Channel 4... first TV promo for My Heart Takes Over
I'm excited! Hopefully will increase awareness, airplay and pre-orders for My Heart Takes Over/On Your Radar!
In hindsight I wish 'All Fired Up' launched the album and this was kept back for a January release...
Heart Takes Over new Television Airplay peak #23
It must climb to top #15 on Tv Airplay next week and climb top #40 in the radio airplay Imo, I am very worried for how this single is going to go now
Decent performance on Alan Carr I thought. Really hoping this will be as big as I wish it to be. Although a few major releases have under performed lately! (Cher Lloyd, JLS (although still going #1 - I thought they'd storm ahead but Rihanna's going to give them a run in her 6th week in the chart!), The Wanted, Pixie Lott) So I'm not sure if this will do as well as we want. Still. Fingers crossed for at LEAST top 10!
I got excited thinking they'd be on X Factor on the 20th, but it seems it's just Xtra Factor.
http://xfactor-updates.com/x-factor-week-7-guests/
Least their performing on the Xtra Factor instead of interview. Although it shouldn't have any impact.
The guy who seems to find out about the guest performances first (he's got them right every week so far) said it seems the girls were originally due to appear on the main show with Rihanna as he was told first time round but recently been told it seems the girls are now demoted to Xtra Factor in favour of the charity single performance, taking their place. Annoying.
Don't see why the charity single performance can't just take the place of the finalists group performance instead and have the two guest stars as normal, but no. Or even 3 performances like they did with Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson and Pro Green with Rihanna, The Sats and the charity single, but again, no... typical Saturdays luck!
It's not the be all or end all no, but when it seems they were originally going to be on, and to have to settle for less again is soo frustrating, if true.
Encore, where's the source that The Saturdays were originally performing on the main show?
Here's hoping the producers change there mind.
http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1575400
They said this further down the thread:
I am disgraced if that's the case. It's not a double elimination and The xFactor could have easily made it three performances. If this is the case the Xfactor could have cost them around 10,000+ album sales. So Gutted if they were scheduled to be performing. I hope it's a mistake and The Saturdays do perform on the live show. I am just going to have to spam the xFactor on twitter then...
If it is true and they were replaced then I'd rather have known they wouldn't have got a slot at all rather than know they had one, only to lose it - especially to think they could have potentially gained more hype and interest around the album to around 12 million people.
It's more frustrating than not being considered to perform at all. But then again his post could be construed as vague, and he may have meant that The Sats were always scheduled for Xtra Factor and not the main show. I don't know but to me, when I first read his post it sounded like they'd originally been invited on.
This guy is quite reliable too, so it's hardly complete bull, he's got every guest performance right this series (and last). And he's also had the final 16 for this year and last year correct weeks before the live shows too.
Who gets invited to perform their single on the Xtra Factor though? I think they obviously had no time to fit them in, although on every xFactor you see three performances, two big names and all the contestants singing. To make matters worse Jls & One Direction will also be performing in the Charity Single. Not that they will have been on the xFactor before.
I hope it's just a mistake or something haha and they're on the main show but I doubt it. Ah well, no point getting our hopes up. They've been on Xtra Factor now 3 years running. It's not like they'd have a shite intro either, I mean look at Professor Green's VT...
If only that charity single was released the week after lol!
I thought I would depress Saturday fans ever more

My Heart Takes Over still hasn't re-entered the top 200 albums on iTunes. Worrying to say the least.
On Your Radar is #119
It's worrying that this might not even get top 10. And their promo hardly seems like it'll help... :/
I always knew that the charity track would be performed but was laughed off for saying so. Gary Barlow produced the whole thing and you know how the xfactor like to 'keep it in the family'. However if they where in the original lineup then thays good news for them.
I know Rizzle Kicks performed 'When I Was A Youngster' on Xtra Factor but that was it. Are the performances still big budget performances (i.e with the main XF stage and cameras, good production etc) or are they shitty little "extra" stages on the Xtra Factor set with only two cheap cameras?
At least they were considered, though. It gives us hope for next year LOL. It's sad, though that Rihanna has already sold about 400K with her single and doesn't even need the performance and The Sats could benefit hugely from it.
There's a performance at the end of the Xtra Factor each Sunday, but I only watched JLS last night as they're the only ones I've been interested in. They basically performed a stripped down version of She Makes Me Wanna. Nothing too big budget, but it's still on The X Factor main stage.
Love this song so much now. Listened to it walking home tonight just as it was getting dark and it was quite cold today. Definition of a perfect winter song
During the Xtra Factor performances, they usually do an acoustic song of either their latest single, or an album track if they also appeared on the main show. The Saturdays WILL NOT (probably ever) be on The X Factor main show, though, so you may as well just count yourselves lucky that they have a (rumoured) slot on the Xtra Factor.
I guess it's time to take to twitter! I'll join you with the spamming Lee
What I find funny about this, is that they've ditched The Sats (who will sing the majority of the track live) for a performance by the Xfactor finalists which will no-doubtingly be mimed. (If of course this is all true)
The X Factor Finalists single isn't even out until the 28th... so they'll perform on the 27th - I don't know why you're all getting your knickers in a twist.
Oh that's interesting!
Although, they might premiere it the week before, so it gives people a chance to hear what it is like.
Also, OT, but isn't the track not going to be recorded with the finalists, but JLS and One Direction instead?
This is all going to be a bit confusing.. this site says they are on X Factor (Main Show) on the 20th
http://xfactor.tellymix.co.uk/news/57344-x-factor-2011-the-saturdays-and-rihanna-to-perform.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TellymixTheXFactor+%28TellyMix+The+X+factor%29
Guess we'll just have to wait and see now, whether it's the main show or Xtra Factor.
*prays they go for the 3 guest performances (Rihanna, Sats, XF charity single) option *
Ooft. I think they're quite reliable, too! Aw man. I hope that's true if just to prove Theo's post a couple of posts up wrong ("I doubt they ever will" - that post seemed a bit malicious for some reason, but I know it wasn't meant to be taken that way Theo )
Erm, that article cites XFactor Updates as their source though.
New here so Hi all...
I own the xfactor-updates site & apoligise for the confusion.
I noticed a few links to the site from here so thought I should post what I know.
I've posted all the xfactor guest performers way before they have been 'officially' confirmed, it's a spoiler site & some of you might know I don't post the usual tabloid shite but all have been correct so far.
Named the finalists & guests before any other sites for the last 3 years but got a spanner thrown in the works this year after a SYCO insider deliberately fed me a wrong finalist name to discredit my spoilers (all others were 100%)
Besides that fool (wont give his name), I am back on track with a great source for who they are booking for the live shows.
I was told Rihanna & The Saturdays were booked for the weekend of the 20th, then told the charity single would take place of The Sats & they would do the xtra factor instead.
I didn't ask which charity single, just presumed it was the finalists. However that single is due out the following week, so I'm as confused as you guys.
Hopefully I'll get confirmation tomorrow, will update the post as soon as I do.
One Direction are performing on both shows this weekend, so it's still possible The Saturdays will do the same.
With One Direction & JLS being added to the xfactor charity single, they could be doing last minute changes as to when acts are available to perform?
Will update when I know more, sorry guys.
Thanks for signing up and clearing that up for us. It'd be great for The Sats if they get a slot! I think they should tbh. Especially seeing as The XF should be supporting girl bands now that Little Mix are the last group left. But that's just a personal feeling. Either way I think Xtra Factor is just as good as the main show, so at least they have a slot somewhere
i pray so hard to baby jesus that they get a slot on the main show!!!!
can we like tweet somebody to find out?!
I'll be even more annoyed imagining if they've already put together an intro VT of the girls that we'll never see if they don't end up on the main show because they were replaced... And then thinking of how beneficial the exposure to an audience of around 11-13 million could be to the single, launching the album and helping shift some tour tickets... and how that's been snatched away from them! Lol.
In the end, if this doesn't work out and they end up performing on The Xtra Factor, at least we know they were seriously considered to perform on the main show. That doesn't seem such an impossible goal anymore.
my christmas wish is that they do, it could be sooooo good for the album and single.
maybe with a performance they could get into the top 10 with the record :s
Wow, really hope this is true and they perform on both shows, they really deserve it. X factor updates have you heard anything else?
Alot of sources from Google are claiming it's just Rihanna and The Sats who are performing.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be true!
But it's on the X Factor updates that Rihanna and the Finalists are performing, but The Saturdays will be on the Xtra Factor. This is confirmed I assume?
this is sooo weird. i dont wanna raise my hopes though!
id rather get some official confimation now just to ease my mind, if its a no then its a no and we can move on.. :S
WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE SATURDAYS!!
Just saw this on twitter...
I don't think I could wait another 5 days until we have hear from Dermont, I would rather hear soon to stop be feeling optimistic. I hate building my hopes up and for them to fall. At the end of the day The Saturdays were scheduled to appear what is positive, I think X Factor should move them for another date if they were scheduled to appear.. not really fair imo.
Radio Airplay.
68. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over
It seems XF have drafted in 1D and JLS for the finalists charity single so perhaps that's why they've seemingly replaced The Sats slot...? If both 1D and JLS couldn't fit the XF performance anywhere else in their schedules other than the 20th, even though the charity single isn't released until the week after (28th Nov)...? Bit unfair though seemingly booking The Sats for the main show well in advance only to replace them at the last minute it seems and having to settle for second best in Xtra Factor, as I guess all guest slots on the rest of the results show for this year have been taken. This would only happen to the girls, wouldn't it! Grrr. The 20th would be the perfect promo to launch the album, help the single and shift tour tickets.
I guess all we can hope is that they have 3 guests on instead, 1D and JLS have already had XF exposure this series, The Sats could do with it big time. And also that both JLS and One Direction have/are performed(ing) on the main show and Xtra Factor this year so hopefully there just isn't allowed to be any confirmation whether Te Sats are on the main show too, could be embargoed? Hmm. We'll see. It's not like there would be time limits on the results show either since there are less acts in the show now when it comes to the results part of who's through to the next show. They could easily make it so there's three performances - they had 3 guest performers on several results shows last year - and they were even with the finalist group performance at the start of the show and also earlier in this series this year without a group performance (Kelly, Bruno, Pro Green). Meh.
Knowing our/the girls' luck though it'll just be Rihanna and the charity single.
The thing is though, couldn't the charity single with the finalists, JLS and 1D just be performed instead of the finalist group performance as usual, and then we could still have Rihanna and The Saturdays perform?
People are commenting on some Sats related vids on YT about how excited they are to see them perform at last, same with tweets too.. oh dear
Think we should stop getting our hopes up now.. haha. :\
A-List on Radio 1!
Woohoo! My CD single has been dispatched from Universal!
Why are people even thinking The XF will help them out so much? So far it's not been as successful as it once was for performances. (Shame really) but it'd still be nice for them I guess and it would get them the extra sales I suppose.
Una Healy already replied to me on the last twitter chart, good times, good times.
I received My Heart Takes Over cd today btw, has anyone else?
Someone has uploaded/leaked the B-side 'So Stupid' http://dontknowhimfromadam.tumblr.com/post/12596345303/the-saturdays-so-stupid-ripped-and-uploaded Really like it! Predictions for MHTO charting? I'm guessing they will chart at 6.
I'm still going for a peak of #8.
The b side is brilliant, they almost always deliver with their b sides and this album has been particularly good, Ladykiller and Not That Kinda Girl are better than the a sides for my money.
Yeah I like the b-sides too, I'm putting them into my iTunes tracklist for the album.
I hope the single goes top 10... I'm guessing #7.
I think the single will go in at #7 on it's first week. I hope it goes in at #1, #6 or #7, so one day they can get every peak in the top 10 haha!
Stupid is such a great B side! That makes... 4 in a row. (I thought Ready to Rise is possibly one of the worst songs they've ever recorded...)
I'm really hoping we get Turn Myself In as a B side on the next single... I simply cannot describe how much I love that track.
My Heart Takes Over - iTunes Ireland
9.30am - #145 (Notorious currently sits at #118)
I'm devastated for how low the airplay for this is. Having two songs in the top100 will be great promotion for the album, but they actually made a radio tour to avoid these kind of situations. Now we depend only on the promotion they do this week.
My Heart Takes Over - iTunes Ireland
11.30am - #170 (down from #145 in two hours)
*Notorious is now at #138 down from #118 in two hours)
One Direction are #41 at the moment with 'Gotta Be You'
My Heart Takes Over - iTunes Ireland
3.30pm - #110 (up from #170 in last 2 hours)
*NB - Notorious is now #143
*NB - 1D's new single has climbed from #41 to #36

That xfactorupdates guy tweeted:
Anyone preordered the signed single from Universal Store? It says mine has been sent (as of yesterday), so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow or Monday I haven't ordered anything from there before so I don't know how efficient they are :L
i feel like just 'quitting'
why book them for xtra factor and only have one on x factor. what is the actual point. what did the sats do that was so bad that they cant have a freekin slot.
so f***ed off right now!!
They'll need to dedicate time to the charity aspect of the charity single which is why (if true) Rihanna would be the only guest performance
Kelly Rowland will be on The X Factor on the weekend that Rihanna's on...
Saturdays
My Heart Takes Over - #74
Notorious - #138
Others
Lighthouse - #11
This Isn't Everything You Are - #15
Gotta Be You - #21
Good Feeling - #26
If each of the Sats were to buy a copy of the single on Irish iTunes they'd probably jump to top 10. That's how irrelevant the Irish chart is, let's be honest...
Well the Irish chart is not irrelevant to The Saturdays, considering they only ever release music in 2 countries, the UK and Ireland.
If they were an international act, the Irish chart would not be important to them. As it stands though, they need every sale they can get.
I'm absolutely gutted about no X-Factor.
They're still performing on the Xtrafactor though. At least that's something.
If Pixie Lott can only scrape the top 10 then I see this going roughly the same way, which is a shame.
If Pixie is struggling to reach top 10, I am worried on how this is going to end up considering Pixie's had way more airplay!
Mtv Hits always play My Heart Takes Over, I have seen it played 6times today, and always seem to see it on that channel more than others!
I wouldn't underestimate that power of a good song. That's one advantage the Saturdays have over Pixie! I expect #6-8.
I'll bring back optimism and say #4.
does anybody have like 12noon positions for other singles on release day, might be a handy tool to compare MHTO's performance with...
Just got my MHTO CD!!! I think this may be the first time I've got something from Universal before 2 days after release date. Haha!
Rebecca Ferguson is on XF next weekend with Rihanna. Her single isn't even out until the 28th! Seems like she was called in last minute.
Last weeks Xtra Factor got 1.11million viewers, not too bad I guess but then again... if it is true and they were originally scheduled to perform in front of 12 million, knowing that makes this all so much more annoying. Oh well. Just hope the rest of their promo helps but I doubt it.
Oh Yeah Rebecca Ferguson, much bigger than The Saturdays. I just have no idea why they would ditch The Saturdays if all this is true. I would refuse to perform on the Xtra Factor tbh.
Oh stop it, please? It's not the end of the world. At least they've been considered, which looks good for the future. Why would they turn down Xtra Factor just because they're not performing on the main show? I think the girls are just happy to be able to perform on another show and promote! They were never not going to support Rebecca Fergusson either. (Considering she came SECOND, just last year)
MHTO is at #40 on Irish iTunes atm. Well, it could be worse.
Oh, and regarding them performing on Xtra Factor - I'm happy that they've been considered for the main show, which gives us great hope for next year, right?! I'm not 100% sure where this will chart, but I hope it can go top 10!
Received my CD too... well actually two, a signed and unsigned version.
Tonight's the Night
Season 3 Episode 7 of 8
John Barrowman chooses his most memorable moments from the latest series and makes some new dreams come true. A woman is given the opportunity to sing with her hero Andrea Bocelli, and a member of the audience is taught how to move by Strictly Come Dancing star Artem Chigvintsev. Plus, performances by the Wanted, the Saturdays and Kiri Te Kanawa, and another chance to see a grandmother zip-wire across the River Clyde
I'm not sure if this means it's a new performance or they're just showing an old one they did...
It will most likely be a performance on Higher, what is still good promotion though!
The ambient remix is beautiful. Adds so much more emotion to the track.
Got my signed CD aswell. Surprised me as I wasn't expecting it till Monday or Tuesday.
#59 on iTunes.
Flo-Rida has a single out today too, haha.
iTunes latest:
One Direction #26
Westlife #35
Flo Rida #43
The Saturdays #56
Are they doing ok atm? Is this where they usually are around this time of iTunes release? I know with All Fired Up they were straight in the top 20(?) by now but with Notorious and Missing You etc are they currently at a similar position to them now? Can't remember 100% but I think Missing You was around top 30 around this time wasn't it? I remember because it was on their 24/7 show the morning Missing You was released when they were at BBLB (Big Brother's Little Brother)
Well an hour before being number #56 (where it is now), it was in the #150 region, so about a 100 place increase doesn't seem to bad for the girls.
The only way is Up!
BTw, you can buy the Club and Radio remix bundles on iTunes and Amazon. If you buy the club remix bundle seperately on Amazon, it comes to the same amount as it does if you buy the bundle, so we can get more sales there hopefully.
Update!
#21 1D
#32 Westlife
#34 Flo Rida
#49 The Saturdays (also #109)
Fingers crossed!
Flo Rida and The Sats releasing in the same week. Again. Haha!
Haha. maybe The Sats can beat him this time.
I didn't even know he had a song out!
Me neither! Kept that on the sly didn't he!
One Direction #20
Westlife #32
Flo Rida #34
The Saturdays #39
Have such a horrible feeling that this might not get top 10. Don't know why but what with their releases usually being so frontloaded, 3 other big releases this week to contend with, plus releases from the weeks before...? I massively hope I'm wrong here!
I think you are haha!
But it obviously shows that there is demand for the girls, coming from #150 or there abouts to about #39 in a few hours, and usually they stay for a while in the top 10 of iTunes. I think we won't have a number one, but definately a top 10
I'm thinking this might be their second lowest charting single, but at this stage i'm more concerned about the album next week.
One Direction #12
Flo Rida #27
Westlife #28
The Saturdays #34
EDIT:
One Direction #11
Flo Rida #23
Westlife #28
The Saturdays #29
They've got two versions Top 100
The other one is at #75, which is quite good.
Radio Edit - #34
Normal - #84
B-Side - #553
Rokstone Mix - #999
Currently #29 and #75
This is flopping like a donkeys dick. The Sats are over it pains me to say it. The album will flop next week. They have been around for so long. They have missed their opportunity to be big now
Also you can tell who out of the band actually cares .Rochelle, Mollie and Una all started tweeiting about the single last night. Whereas Frankie and Vanessa clearly could not be bothered
A roughly estimated The Sats around #21 combined!
Or maybe Frankie and Vanessa just aren't going to be as desperate? But yeah, they could've just been asleep or something. Whatever will be will be, I'm a huge fan of the girls but if it flops then that's what happens. It isn't their fault people aren't buying it. I'll be disappointed if it does miss top 10 but as I said, you can't do anything about it.
Give it a bit of time! If it's still sitting at #27 this time tomorrow then it's time to panic, but One Direction debuted a lot higher than The Saturdays and they've only just reached #10.
The Saturdays have climbed a hell of a lot in the same amount of time. Plus there's lots of versions of the track, and the EPs, floating around.
They are roughly #18 combining the #26 & #69 versions!
One Direction #9
Flo Rida #16
The Saturdays #24 (and #67)
Westlife #28
Those who're interested - copied the pop bars on iTunes across from the thread on the Chart forum, thanks to britster.
I am starting to worry, All Fired Up was at #02 this time and started off at #20. My Heart Takes Over is struggling to get top 20 now!
But weren't the pre-orders for AFU were listed as a single rather than a EP and thus that's why it got such a strong headstart? Because it never once showed up in the albums chart as a pre-order and we always wondered why that never happened. I think that's what someone said in the Chart forum anyhow.
I think this has followed a similar release day pattern to Notorious and Missing You, albeit a little slower a climb... plus with competition from previous weeks it was bound to be hard. Especially if One Direction have struggled to break into the top 10 all day, and only just made it in there now! Crossing everything it continues to climb and hopefully sneak in there anyway!
Rihanna is also getting released at midnight...
This is a really disappointing start. Combined they're about #15, which will be a shock to them since they're so used to being Top 10.
But when you think about it..
If things stay as they are, should they consider a price drop during the week perhaps? It's a tricky one. It's disappointing but the fact it's taken One Direction practically all day to get into the top 10 shows how hard a climb it's been for everyone today, plus airplay bar Radio 1 plugging it has been terrible so that won't have helped in getting the song noticed. Hopefully things might pick up tomorrow..
So gutted.
They've got Daybreak tomorrow morning - does that usually provide a decent boost?
Those kind of promo slots like Daybreak, Lorraine, Alan Tichmarsh...don't usually have any effect on iTunes. I don't know in the long term, but we haven't seen any boost in the last single campaigns.
^ Bugger.
Not much else we can do then really, other than hope! Haha.
Just feels like the rest of this era is going to go horribly wrong now.
They just need a big promotion performance, let's just hope single #4 gets promotion on Dancing On Ice!
New peak of #11 on Video Airplay. No sign of it in the Radio Airplay. Deary me!
I think they could get a performance slot on 'The Voice UK' when it launches next year! Also the winner gets offered a record deal with Universal and their label is a branch of Universal!
The voice will be excellent and I think will actually get around 9m+ viewers. I am being bias here but I have no idea why My Heart Takes Over is getting snubbed by the radio? it's amazing and perfect for this weather.
I am surprised stations like Heart etc are not all over My Heart Takes Over.
Just for possible comparison, different situations etc but Pixie was around #11 this time last week with 'What Do You Take Me For?' on iTunes and she only ended up officially charting at #10 tonight, so I'd say charting in the top 10 for the girls is near on impossible now, they're at #21 currently on iTunes.
Nevermind, least we have the tour to look forward to I guess.
Up to #19 now as well as #70, #532, #804
Not terrible but verging on. Come on Sats, promotion the entire week please
wow. so they have officially lost their crown as one of the big bands in the country.
now i really am dreading next week.
at least in the past the singles used to have decent entries even if they dropped like a stone afterwards
I can see them missing the top 10, I am disappointed as this is ending their streak. It's really not been the best campaign, damn radio stations. However am I the only one that can see this actually increasing on airplay instead of decreasing as it's a beautiful ballad perfect for this weather.
10. Lmfao - Sexy & I Know It 42%
19. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 21.6%
14th November – Daybreak – ITV1 – from 6.00am
18th November – Loose Women – ITV1 – 12.30pm
18th November – Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Windup – CBBC – 6.00pm
18th November – Children In Need – BBC1 – After 1035pm
19th November – Album Chart Show Special – Channel 4 – 11.20am –
19th Novemeber - Xtra Factor.
Everything seems later on in the week though, I think they will expect a debut this week of around #13. They should be promoting Tuesday,Wednesday & Thursday as well in order to make sure they can somehow go top 10, anything as stupid as This Morning, Lorraine, Alan Titermarsh, Live Lounge. Disappointed there's no strictly though.
I am disappointed they couldn't be booked to perform on Children In Need rocks on Thursday as well like a lot of other artists and the fact they are performing on Children In Need after half 10 will not have as much impact as it would performing from 8-10.30pm. I hope they perform a melody of Notorious/All Fired Up/ My Heart Takes Over on Children In Need.
Definitely see this missing the Top 10. Sigh!
I don't necessarily think they've lost their 'crown', I think perhaps people outside the core fanbase might not be that aware they've a new single out, radio airplay has been poor, and perhaps people can't take to the song for some reason. I'm not sure. It's weird because usually their fanbase gets them into the top 10 no problem, so it must just be a massively competitive release week and trying to break into the top 20 is proving difficult.
Either way though I'm dreading the album release now. But there always have to be some negativity/stress associated with a Sats release and this is it for MHTO! Nothing is ever straightforward with these five.
Anyway, it's #17 on iTunes.. and the second version is now falling - it's #73 (was #64) now so I guess it'll only fall more so not helping much when combining the two versions.
Just performed on Daybreak. Frankie wasn't there - Roch said something along the lines of they're resting her for the tour.
One Direction #2
Flo Rida #10
The Sats #17
Daybreak is their only public promo until Friday.... unless they find last minute promo but I doubt there will be much going.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE2PE2LSmrc
Daybreak performance
If they want a shot at top 10 I think they should drop the price and fast. Whilst there's no guarantee it'd do much for it, but you've got David Guetta and Usher's track 'Without You' that got reduced to 59p and it shot up to the top 3/4 on iTunes this week. Plus it helped Notorious rise back into the top 20 when it was falling at one point too.
At least it's slowly rising. I'll be SO frustrated/gutted/sad if this charts at #11 of all places.
Also, with the poor airplay (like, literally no airplay bar Radio 1) - how do the girls get that back?
At least it's still climbing on iTunes anyway.....
If only this was sitting around 11-12 by now, they'd probably climb into the top 10 by this evening and then potentially get the top 10 exposure from the iTunes store homepage boost. Ah well.
One Direction #2
Flo Rida #5 - looks like the top 10 exposure has paid off for him. I didn't even know he had a song out, and it's had next to no airplay!
The Saturdays #16 (and #76)
Anyway, promo... nothing scheduled until Friday.1st November - Oxford Street Xmas Lights
6th November - Alan Carr - Channel 4 - 10.00pm
14th November - Daybreak - ITV1 - from 6.00am
18th November - Loose Women - ITV1 - from 12.30pm
18th November – Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Windup – CBBC – 6.00pm
18th November – Children In Need – BBC1 – Program starts at 7.00pm, the girls are listed to be on after 10.35pm (at time of writing)
19th November – Album Chart Show Special – Channel 4 – 11.20am – set to perform songs from the new album
20th November - The Xtra Factor - ITV2 - 9.00pm
Xtra Factor ratings slumped from 1.1m to 479k last night. Guess it's better than nothing though.
I know this sounds childsidh but all this Frankie saga is reminding me of Geri-Lottery-Gate...
This has got to be the worst year the sats have ever had!
Aside from that one bum note by Vanessa that was actually a really strong performance. They look great as a four piece too. I wish they would ditch Frankie, she's useless.
*waits for Frankie quits rumours*
#14 on iTunes now. Come on girls!!
#13 now. This is all ver reminiscent of Higher with it just about scraping top 10 for a week. I hope this makes it, I'm still fairly confident it will.
The gap between 13 and 12 is quite big, hope they can do it.
I still think if it stalls at #13 they should knock the price down, that would probably push them into the top 10, where they'd then hopefully get a bit of an iTunes store boost from top 10 exposure and voila.. hopefully their 11th top 10 (just).
The Saturdays are 15% behind the top 10, lets just hope they do it! Although they will most likely start decreasing tomorrow
They have 2 versions top 100 too?
Everything Combined.
Current iTunes
10. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go 43.6%
11. Lmfao - Sexy & I Know It 39.6%
12. Professor Green - Read All About It 38.9%
13. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 27.2%
14. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love 27.2%
Combined
11. Lmfao - Sexy & I Know It 39.6%
12. Professor Green - Read All About It 46.7%
13. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 31.6%
14. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love 37.4%
So combined they are still #14
Is there ANY hope of a #10?
At this stage I would say there is...
It's wouldn't be the worst thing to ever happen to 'The Saturdays' if this missed the top 10. it's going to be close though The main job of this 'ballad single' is to help shift the album which we'll see next week if it helped to do that (Of course I know I wouldn't be saying this if it was heading straight to No.1 )
10. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 42.6%
11. Lmfao - Sexy & I Know It 38.5%
12. Professor Green - Read All About It 37.6% (Combined 44.8%)
13. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 28.5% (Combined 32.6%)
14. Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love 26.6% (Combined 36%)
I wouldn't be surprised to see The Saturdays be in the top 10 tomorrow in the midweeks, however they will start to fall on tuesday as most songs do. It will not go top 10 on iTunes and it's a shame all their promotion is at the end of the week, at the very least they could be doing is having Ustreams, more twitter chats as I do think they will start to gain on Professor Green & Lmfao. I purchased the extended version so I might just purchase the radio edit to help the girls out.
Combined it's been at #13 since yesterday afternoon. The only thing that's changed is that one version is selling more than the other, making it look like it's moving up the chart, when in fact it probably hasn't.
They're actually #14 combined. Disappointing.
I can't see The Sats managing the iTunes top 10 now unless is goes 59p They could scrape #10 if they stay relatively stable on iTunes as they have physicals
My HMV today wasn't stocking MHTO. I didn't ask, but they didn't have JLS' latest single either. They had 1D though. :/
My HMV had JLS, Westlife, Cher Lloyd, One Direction and The Collective, but not The Saturdays.
Anyway, my HMV singles selection is absolutely abismal...
Where I work we have it which actually surprised me as we usually get no singles in other than charity ones and JLS/One Direction
I was going to just leave it until next week to own 'My Heart Takes Over' legally but since I feel bad for this underperforming and I really want The Sats to do well, i'll just head to iTunes right now and download every version I can!
Really hope 'My Heart Takes Over' makes top 10 this week! It's probably one of my fav songs by The Sats!
Have just pre-ordered the album off HMV
And me, only just got round to doing it! Bought the physical CD of My Heart Takes Over too, not impressed they've doubled the price of the CD though on HMV. Oh well, it is free delivery after all.
The Saturdays should work with Labrinth. 'So Stupid' is VERY 'Let the Sun Shine'! It's brilliant. (I've only just got round to listening to the EP!)
They're #9 in the first midweeks.
Peter Loraine, if you're reading this: price reduction. ASAP.
Hopfuly they can hang on in there till the end of the week. I would be more comfortable if they could get to at least 11 on itunes.
#9 isn't too bad, but it's not going to stay Top 10 until Sunday unless the promo they have at the end of the week gives it a good push.
Happy to see them #9, however I expect them to be #10-11 on tomorrow's update! C'mon Saturdays!
Sad feeling this is going to be #11....
I've just bought it. I never buy singles/downloads (in fact I think the last time I did was Notorious!) but good lord they need the support. I went for the Soulseekerz Club Mix after much deliberation.
All in all I have contributed 8 sales to the cause. SATZ UP!
I decided to purchase the Karaoke version and the Soulseekerz Club Mix. Hope The Saturdays really can remain top 10!
Drake is catching up with them on Live Pop Bars. It looks like LMFAO and Pro Green are both decreasing from when I last looked though so hopefully the girls can get some momentum and overtake them. If Drake overtakes I expect that'll only push the girls down further.
I think this will end up at #11. Frustrating but hey..
I hope you bought them all during separate purchases because you know 3+ purchases of a song in one go cancels out the sale right?
I bought 2 CDs and one EP sale (the iTunes pre-order). All they're getting out of me.
if this peaks at #11 it's one of those songs that undeservedly missed the top 10, ala Party In The Usa, See You Again, Turn it Up.
The thing is I expect it to decrees tomorrow but pick up again on Friday! I still don't think they will enter the top 10 unfortunately.
09. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go 41.4 0.4%
10. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 41.1% 0.5%
11. Lmfao - Sexy & I Know It 36.9% 0.4%
12. Professor Green - Read All About It 36.3%
13. The Saturdays - My Heart Takes Over 30.6% 0.6%
Stupid they have no promotion Today,Wednesday & Thursday.
UK AIRPLAY UPDATE.
Radio - My Heart Take Over #48
Television - My Heart Takes Over #13
Really wanted this to be top 10 for them, I love it! Am also loving ''So Stupid'' at the moment, Cant wait for the album.
Hear that?
Thats the sounds of a flop. I am proper devestated. I was a huge Sats Fan. I've seen them live 11 times and spend a fortune in the process, but the game is up for them now
Ugh. Maroon 5 are somehow up to number 8 on iTunes! This is definitely a bad thing for The Sats (although it's a bad thing anyway, the song is rubbish) but they will now have to settle for "Top 20" and will probably be around 12/13 on Sunday! Like I said in the iTunes thread the other day, I'm hoping this will be one of those longer running top 20 hits. Something similar to Rihanna 'Hate That I Love You' would be nice. (Although with a higher peak, obviously ) We'll just have to wait to see what the promotion at the end of the week does for them. Hopefully it prevents them from going into free fall.
#12 today.
also The Wanted have fallen to #12 with their new album today
They'll probably finish at something like #14 on Sunday.
*sigh*
It's gonna fall even more, isn't it?
If they can't get a top 10 single now even before the album is out, how are they going to manage selling singles after the album is out if the fanbase can't get them inside the top 10 like they usually do before an album release now? And this single is leading the album too. Damn radio airplay. They're probably screwed for future releases now if radio won't play them now after two top 10 hits in Notorious and All Fired Up, radio will probably completely desert them since this is underperforming? Aside from radio, there are no excuses for this not doing well either. People clearly aren't buying into the track. It's a shame too as it breaks their small record of consecutive top 10s from Forever Is Over to All Fired Up.
Really sad about this, lol. Now they've fallen to #14 on iTunes too, won't catch up now I don't think. Definitely not going to be top 10 so we'll just have to hope for upper half of top 20. I don't know what they can do anymore other than keep plodding along. They're never going to get their 'big break' are they?
Maybe radios aren't playing this cos it's a bit shit? It's hardly their best offering.
With the next single, when it starts charting due to video rotation, if radios like it, they'll play it. Look at Work, that stalled at #22 but didn't have a problem getting support again with all later singles.
Their Children In Need performance slot isn't until 11.30pm. Whole lot of good that's gonna do.
Why is everyone being so negative? I'm quietly confident about the album, I think it will do better than most are expecting it to do.
It's called being realistic/non-delusional...
Down to #15 on iTunes now.
Gaga has over-taken them, it's not like The Sats are selling any less than they where yesterday, hopefully.
And if there's a ray of light in this.. It's still A List on Radio 1!
#17 on iTunes. Ouch. I still think it should peak next week though!
Hope they dont fall anymore
I think/hope this can re-peak next week with the album version and stuff, but I get some weird feeling 'All Fired Up' will be the most cherry picked from the album with MHTO in second.
I hope All Fired Up re-enters the top 75 next week with it being cherry picked on On Your Radar and on the new Now Album. Lets just hope the new Saturdays album goes top 10 on iTunes so songs get cherry picked.
If you look at the pop bars though they're 10% behind #10 and have been since Monday. They maybe at #17 but at least that shows it's not tanking. Calm down people!
#13 in the midweek today.
Looks as if low Top 15 is the best we can expect of this single.
It's not often that a major UK pop group releases a studio album off the back of a single that doesn't make the Top 10. Only these three came to mind:
Take That - I Found Heaven (reached #15 prior to the release of debut album Take That & Party - they had yet to firmly establish themselves)
Eternal - What'cha Gonna Do (reached #16 in advance of fourth album 'Eternal' - now only a duo, they'd fallen out of favour with the public)
Atomic Kitten - Follow Me (reached #20 before first album 'Right Now' came out)
I'm kinda hoping people are holding back from buying MHTO because of it being on the album and they're waiting for the album instead? Doubt it at all though but I can hope and be optimistic that's the case haha.
If i had just listened to Issues and MHTO for the first time, i'd say MHTO was the stronger song and was the more obvious hit, obviously not though.
I don't know if it's been mentioned but 2nd Adventure's remix of My Heart Takes Over is Popjustice's song on the day! Well done!!
If the single's flopping this bad, how bad is the album going to do?! Guessing Top 20 at best right now, should've launched it with All Fired Up.
My Heart Takes Over now has a 9% gap ( 1%) to The Top 10, and that's counting that they've droped a few places since this morning. Not bad!
^^ Of course! It's been so difficult to mix and master it which is why it's taken so long! It should hopefully be out next week
It's dropped to #20 on uk iTunes, although I doubt this I hope they somehow manage to get a new peak on iTunes after their promotion!
#01. 1.000000 - Flo Rida
#02. 0.768925 - Rihanna / Calvin Harris
#03. 0.656054 - Drake / Rihanna
#04. 0.550974 - Ed Sheeran (2 versions combined)
#05. 0.546148 - Labrinth / Tinie Tempah (2 versions combined)
#06. 0.444115 - One Direction
#07. 0.406350 - Coldplay (2 versions combined)
#08. 0.402710 - David Guetta / Usher
#09. 0.364268 - LMFAO
#10. 0.357494 - Maroon 5 / Christina Aguilera
#11. 0.336410 - JLS (2 versions combined)
#12. 0.328874 - Lady GaGa
#13. 0.298137 - Christina Perri
#14. 0.297206 - Professor Green / Emeli Sande
#14. 0.267994 - Bruno Mars (2 versions combined)
#16. 0.260796 - Elbow
#17. 0.258594 - Charlene Soraia
#18. 0.231414 - Cher Lloyd (2 versions combined)
#19. 0.220406 - Glee Cast
#20. 0.207197 - Loick Essien
#21. 0.196952 - The Saturdays
ouch...this is shaping up to be their worst performing single of their career if it keeps falling like this...i really thought this would be big, given how wintry/christmassy it is, but this is not good, given their track record singles-wise they shouldn't be struggling to make the top 20, especially when the last single made top 3. Praying the promotion keeps it top 20.
The performance on Lose Women was vocally fantastic. They all looked a bit bored, but I'll put that down to concentration
to #19 now.
They're performing Notorious & All Fired Up on CBBC no My Heart Takes Over
Yeah, perform the songs that people actually like lol.
It was filmed months ago, before Notorious was released
Even though this will peak lower than usual for them, which by the way for the first time i'm actually not too concerned about. I actually don't think it will fall alot next week! As the album will push sales up slightly and also they will climb into the top 50 airplay this Sunday (51 last week) and then climb even further as it will still be R1 A-List for a further week.
They have the opportunity to climb next week if it charts out of the Top 15 this week I think.
They'll benefit more from this weekends promo, next week, and they'll also be cherry picking from the album.
Does anyone know where the performances from Sam and Mark are watchable?
Nice of Frankie to make an appearance at Children In Need...
Vanessa's voice is seriously f***ed, worse than ever. She better cut out the smoke/drink and get some decent vocals lessons before the tour!
Did Rochelle do Vanessa's adlibs? Or was I imaging it?
The performance on Loose Women was easily the best performance (vocally) yet! Vanessa was on form and their harmonies are improving a lot!
They're not performing on/appearing on the XTRA factor tomorrow either!
Since on the Xtra factor when they said everyone who will be at the show tomorrow and Rebecca Ferguson will perform a album track
Well that's going to be a dull night for everyone then
What?! FFS.
I love Rebbecca but that's disappointing I'm still crossing my fingers they'll be on the final duetting with Little Mix. As if
Being shunned in favour of walking personality black hole Rebecca Ferguson is SHAMEFUL, even if she is an ex contestant.
Yes but she's on the main show too, so it's ridiculous she gets both.
They are again on the cover of Los40's website, the most important radio station in Spain...they haven't been playlisted in the past and certainly won't get listed with this single, but it's always nice to see that they are on the focus of people in the industry of other countries.
They appear in the second banner: http://www.los40.com/ Also, the website has a top5 of the most watched videos, so it would be nice to see them back there...All Fired Up spent a lot of days hanging around #2-#4.
Oh wow, 2ndAdventure - your remix of My Heart Takes Over is Popjustice's Song Of The Day!
Last minute predictions? I'm guessing 16 with about 26k sold.
Officially charts at #15.
Well at least it didn't dive down the bottom of the top 20 like we were expecting I guess!
EDIT: Do we think it could ever outpeak #15 in the future?
