Actually the bar was so low (Raab, Patel and Dorries) that this is kind of more of the same. That largely due to some of the worst (Duncan Smith, "Lord" Frost) turning positions down.

Rats deserting the sinking ship whilst it's still in harbour springs to mind

I guess they had to be (quite) generous with the energy price freeze because of how far behind they are in the polls.

Looks like there will be no white men in the four great offices of state - something BJ can get behind?

Her Cabinet is absolutely mad - she's filled it with largely all her backers. There are some powerful figures on the backbenchers now, along with all the usual suspects. Can see the knives being sharpened very quickly, can't believe she hasn't played politics and filled her Cabinet with some token appointments of Rishi supporters.

The positives, though few they are for a new Tory cabinet, that's an upgrade on DWP, an upgrade on Culture and presumably an upgrade on Environment (though mostly only because the previous holders of those offices were so incompetent and I know little or vaguely acceptable things about the new holders, I'm sure the new ones will find ways to disgrace themselves once they become more known to me) and they left Ben Wallace where he is as expected.
the negatives - somehow plumbing the depths to find a worse or comparable Home Sec to Patel, as I said before, a woeful pick for Foreign Secretary, I have little trust in the Chancellor based on his past statements, Coffey at Deputy PM is just like Raab before her, frightening, and she's not good for Health either, Malthouse will surely get lambasted in Education and he'll deserve it, Badenoch somehow in among this shitshow and also involved in an IR position, Jacob Rees-Mogg salivating over the thought of his new Industrial Strategy being to reopen the workhouses.... and as for there being no Rishi supporters, lol, lmao, let them fight |

Looks like there will be no white men in the four great offices of state - something BJ can get behind? Jein. Yes that’s great to see but it matters more who is in those roles. An intellectual lightweight is Foreign Secretary and a dangerous fascist is Home Secretary |

Hollow representation really isn't something to celebrate. Suella Braverman is no doubt already drawing up absolutely abhorrent and racist plans as Home Secretary.

Someone more qualified than Jacob Rees-Mogg.
