So the final was only 3 weeks ago but the draw for the first qualifying round of this seasons Europa League was this week and saw the following draw:

Progres Niederkorn (Luxembourg) vs Cardiff University (Wales)

La Fiorita(San Marino) vs Engordany (Andorra)

Sant Julia (Andorra) vs Europa (Gibraltar)

Ballymena United (NI) vs NSI Runavik (Faroe Islands)

Prishtina (Kosovo) vs St Josephs (Gibraltar)

KI Klaksvik (Faroe Islands) vs Tri Fiori (San Marino)

Barry Town United (Wales) vs Cliftonville (NI)

In the preliminary round, teams were divided into seeded and unseeded teams based on their 2019 UEFA club coefficients,[12] and then drawn into two-legged home-and-away ties. Teams from the same association could not be drawn against each other.

The draw for the preliminary round was held on 11 June 2019, 13:00 CEST.[13]The first legs will be played on 27 June, and the second legs on 2 and 4 July 2019.

My team Cliftonville play a Welsh side, it's always nice seeing summer football (I also go down to League Of Ireland games on occassion at this time of year) as il be heading to the game on the 4th July. And win that and they will be playing in a second 2 legged fixture 10 days later.

Aberdeen turned a comfortable Europa League advantage into a precarious one by conceding an injury-time consolation to RoPS Rovaniemi at Pittodrie by winning 2-1.

Thoroughly enjoyed my second Europa League game of the week although it was hard to take as my team Cliftonville went down to a 0-1 defeat against Norwegian full timers FK Heugunsend. Played well though against a team of full timers and still have a slim chance in the second leg next Thursday.

Always nice to see full timers play against an Irish league side to see how different a game is. UEFA refs are hateful though some unusual decisions.

Martin Samuelson probably their most well known player - currently on loan from West Ham!

Unlucky from my team Cliftonville going down 5-1 vs Haugesund in the 2nd leg - it was 1-1 at one stage against full time opponents. They will play Sturm Graz in the 2nd round next week.

Well done to Crusaders from NI who beat B36 Torshaven tonight 5-2 on agg and now have a glamour tie with Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2nd round - that'll be a sight to see in North Belfast!

Also well done to Shamrock Rovers who progress after 2 goals in the last 10 mins vs Norwegian side FC Brann. Cork lost out after winning 2-1 against Luxembourg side who now play Rangers in the 2nd round!

Connah's Quay Nomads embarrassed Kilmarnock 2-0 in Ayrshire to earn a stunning Europa League first qualifying round aggregate victory.

Callum Morris' penalty proved decisive for the Welsh side, who recovered from a 2-1 first leg defeat to earn an unlikely 3-2 aggregate win and set up a tie with Partizan Belgrade of Serbia.

Luxembourg side who now play Rangers in the 2nd round!

The same team who beat them in 2017.

Great performance from Irish League Part Timers Crusaders going down 2-0 at Molineux tonight. I thought it would be 5 plus goal lead.

Decent result for Shamrock Rovers beats Limassol 2-1. Big second leg next week now.

Wolves are in a good position to qualify for the Europa League group stage for the first time after winning 3-2 away in Italy against Torino.

Fantastic result for N.Irish champions Linfield beating Qarabag 3-2 in the first leg last night - they conceded a 2nd away goal in the 92nd min which could lead to their downfall overall but Qarabag are a class above the Irish champions. Probably one of the best results in their history.

Hopefully Manchester United will get a decent group draw on Friday, we should definitely try to win the competition this season.

Linfield are unlucky to get knocked out by Qarabag on away goals. They played pretty well.

Legia Warsaw got back at Rangers for their sectarian chanting at the last Europa League game with some incredibly Catholic trolling:

Rangers won 1-0.
