Biography
London based duo Tough Love have rapidly risen through the ranks of the house scene over the last three years. Their distinct productions together with energetic and bass-heavy DJ sets have created a cult following of hard-core fans across the UK and beyond. Their sound instantly recognisable in their production can be described as bass infused House with plenty of 90s R&B and Garage references and hard-hitting groove.

The duo have released on a series of established international labels, including Toolroom, Off, Nurvous, Suara & Kenny Dope’s Dope Wax to name just a few, and their own imprint Get Twisted Records that is fast becoming one of the most talked about underground labels in the house scene.

Favourites across national radio stations including BBC Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss, Kiss Fresh, Capital, Capital Xtra and Rinse FM. Tough Love have earned support from broadcasters and DJs Annie Mac, Pete Tong, B-Traits, Danny Howard, MistaJam, Target as well as gaining industry respect from DJs such as Duke Dumont, Solomun, Kenny Dope and Roger Sanchez.

2014 was a stand out year for Tough Love, who amid touring heavily around the UK with appearances at festivals including We Are FSTVL and Outbreak Festival as well as gigs in Ibiza, host their own weekly show on KISS FM every Thursday from Midnight.

Alex and Stef had close to a dozen releases throughout the year. 2014 saw them release their original production 'Dreams' on Mark Knight's Toolroom Records, collaborate with Amine Edge and Dance for their own label imprint Get Twisted as well as enlisted by major labels for credible official remixes for Clean Bandit, Meghan Tranior, Le Youth, and Shift K3y. They also won 'Best Single' in The Bass Music Awards & closed the year signing to the reputable Jamaican born and London based Island Records.

Tough Love saw in 2015 with three gigs in one night for New Years Eve from Manchester to London and continue into 2015 with the impending release of their brand new original release ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ complete with a killer remix package from Hannah Wants and Tough Love, S-man, S.P.Y and Luvstuff, due out on March 16th on Island Records. - Facebook
