The drumbeat intro to these 3 songs all sound identical to me:

Iggy Pop - Lust For Life
Supremes - You Can't Hurry Love
The Jam - Town Called Malice

Then it got me thinking actually this is a pretty common beat. Jet's Are You Gonna Be My Girl & The Fader's No Sleep Tonight also use it. Didn't realise it was such a popular sample even though it sounds so obvious now. Any more? Or any other similar sounding songs you didn't initially realise?

If I remember right:

Adele - Hello
Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall
Sia - Alive

all have very similar intros, and all released within a month of each other in 2015. I remember I'd hear a piano intro on the radio and genuinely not know which of those songs it would be!

There were several times where I'd hear the intro for Shape of You in a club and get all excited thinking it was Sia's Cheap Thrills.

The Weeknd - Take My Breath. The start of it sounds like a mix of all 3 of these:

Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger
Stevie Nicks - Edge Of Seventeen
The Police - Bring On The Night

Could even add Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb, just a slightly higher pitch.

The Supremes - Where Did Our Love Go / Ace of Base - Always Have, Always Will / Mero - It Must Be Love / S Club Juniors - Automatic High. All have that same "clip clop" Motown intro on them!

Inspired by the Look At Me thread a few further down the page but whenever I heard Geri's song I always thought it was going to be a Propellerheads one, History Repeating if I remember correctly.
