Is Beyonce the first artist to get 4 top 20 entries at once from an album?

She could very well be. I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure this accounts for a lot of firsts because this chart week is pretty mind-boggling. The main one I think is that Prince and Beyoncé have both broken the record for the most songs in the top 40 (8 each), in the same week. In fact, this has motivated me to finally post a Chart Highlights again (I know I said that a few weeks ago but I mean it this time!)

Add together all Prince's digital sales from this week and last week (which was just a half day's worth of sales), and is there any chance Purple Rain would've gone to number one?

Normally I'd be so exicted about the chart getting a clearout but only one of those songs going recurrent is even that old. I'm most disappointed in 'Hello' having its run cut short.
Add together all Prince's digital sales from this week and last week (which was just a half day's worth of sales), and is there any chance Purple Rain would've gone to number one? Well he'd have over 400K then (280K from the full week, 122K from the half-day). Zayn got to #1 with "only" 267K but was also #1 on streaming. 'Panda' sold 100K this week but had substantially greater streaming than Zayn. Still, based on that, I think there's a chance. |

Invoking kobbar here to scream NOOOOOO at Prince dying at a slightly inconvenient time for chart tracking
