It's coming closer to that time of the year again, so I thought I'd get this going.
Last year's performance of 'One More Sleep' was slightly disappointing, but there were a few key factors that worked against it. Las year's performance: 80-92-92 (Sales: 66-68-91) Approx sales last year: 30k Last year's iTunes peak: #43 Key Factors: Compilations Last year, no compilations featured One More Sleep, as none of them were re-issued. Now have confirmed that they are re-issuing Now Christmas this year, and I'd be surprised if Leona wasn't featured. Streaming There was one main playlist (This one - https://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playl...PI9OffO4p4w7MQ), that was constantly advertised by Spotify throughout December which gave all the songs featured a big streaming boost, even Britney Spears' Christmas song was doing better than One More Sleep until the 23rd of December, when One More Sleep was finally added and subsequently zoomed up the streaming chart. Fingers crossed Spotify use the same playlist and with no new alterations. Airplay Airplay was pretty decent last year, Heart and Magic played it a lot, and Radio 1 played it a few times nearer to Christmas, Capital however did not play it at all and Radio 2 gave it very few spins. Airplay needs to be as good as last year or better. Leona's visibility Leona's been in the public eye a bit more this year (though not as much as we'd hoped/expected), let's hope she gets a prime time slot at some point soon, as it'll have a knock on effect for 'One More Sleep'. 59p Leona being in the Christmas 59p batch on iTunes this year, we all know, would probably have her zooming into the iTunes top 40. |

I'm going to have low expectations and say top 75. It'd be amazing though for Leona to creep into the top 40 nearer Christmas. I think she'll have pretty much the same amount of airplay as last year (maybe slightly better since she's been more exposed this year) and I hope she's on the Now compilation as well as the major Spotify playlists. 'One More Sleep' is just glorious.

If it does get the 59p treatment and radio/tv support like last year, I think top 40 is a good possibility. As it is part of the main Spotify Xmas playlist that should get it off to a good start.

I'd say top 40 if it's on the Now! compilation and on the main Christmas spotify playlist from the get go.
I wouldn't be surprised if it did a bit better if it got the 59p treatment and Leona was a lot more visible this Xmas (which she should be with upcoming promotional slots for the next single - and maybe we'll get a performance of "One More Sleep" on a Christmas show or it'll be used prominently in an advert/TV show or something). Quite excited though! Last year it appeared on iTunes October 24th, 6 days until then so hopefully it'll start appearing in the next week or so! |

The Now compilation should have a big impact because most people buy the individual songs off the album, as well as those versions generally being the one discounted. I think she might just sneak top 40.

Very glad she's on there, personally I think they should have put her higher than track 18, since it was bigger hit than Underneath the Tree for example.

I'd love her to go Top 40, but I think Top 75 is more likely.

I think top 75 but want higher. It deserves to do well, i still love the song. I wonder will her Christmas album pick up much extra sales this year, opinions?

I'd love this to become a song that always reaches the Top 40 each year but only the really big classics seem to manage that, plus the cut off for the Top 40 is now ~12k and that's only going to increase again given it was at that level over the Christmas season last year. Heart seem to be very fond of this track and they were probably largely responsible for it going back into the Top 100; I can see them continuing to support it in such way and the appearance on the Now Christmas album (as well as other Christmas CDs now it seems) will surely help a lot, so I can see this getting a higher 2015 peak. Top 60 would be pretty great for me, but it just depends on how much sales for each position outside the Top 40 increases.
In the ideal world, Leona would perform this at some point over Christmas and give it the big push it needs. |

Probably roughly the same as last year, low top 100 at best.

I think it'll definitely peak higher than last year now we finally know it's on numerous compilations and Spotify finally has it on their Christmas playlist. But I agree with Liam, top 40 will be a stretch, it might make the top 40 on iTunes, but I can see it being around #60, which I'd still be pleased with.
