It is very hard to get a conversation going because the threads move upwards as each new one is added. There is a music section though we you can discuss the albums/singles. That's a good bit. Someone asked him how he was a couple of days ago and he replied "skinnier" The poor guy seems to be forever watching his diet, I think it would do my head in |

The album sales for everyone are pitiful Tess I think that total is pretty good in comparison. He's holding his own amongst the youngsters. You got to be kidding Laura, is that all they are selling album wise these days, does that include downloads , having said all that I rarely buy albums anymore , I will be buying the mew Gorillaz album out this coming weekend & I do like their stuff |

there are those who sell immense like Adele, Ed and few others. For anyone else it is a struggle. Even current artists as Drake sold only around 12,000 copies in the UK last week, oldies like TT 130,000 in the UK and not even 50,000 WW.
In this context old rob is doing pretty good...though i would like him sell millions |

1 Ed Sheeran [÷] 62,108
2 Kendrick Lamar 31,543 3 Rag'N'Bone Man 22,100 4 Drake 12,275 5 Take That 7,911 6 The Chainsmokers 7,741 7 Motion Picture Cast Recording [Moana] 7,032 8 Ed Sheeran [x] 6,871 9 Tinie Tempah 5,863 10 Little Mix 5,845 I just copied this from the chart thread. These are the total album sales last week Tess. There's no fun in those numbers is there? In the old days when groups sold hundreds of thousands every week. It kind of meant more. Now sales are all over before they've even begun. No wonder everybody just concentrates on tours now. These artists must make bugger all from album sales. |

It does make you wonder why artists even bother with promo. It hardly seems worth the effort for a few thousand sales. Surely they would do better doing a live pod cast?
I could see RW doing something like that. Live chat then perform a few songs on Facebook or Twitter or even on RW.com. Wouldn't that sell just as many as an appearance on Graham Norton for example? I think TV promo nowadays could be totally wasted. |

The promo though is mainly for the tour though Laura & the launch of the tour is usually after a new album hence the connection & the 'Who Ha' that goes with it so i suppose it does sell tour tickets but not necessarily albums . I do like to the Robbie doing promo on tv , at least we get a chance to see him in between tours I believe there are a lot of empty seats at these gigs due to ticket touting & block buying of tickets which is both unfair on the artist & genuine fans trying to buy tickets on the day. I see tickets still available online here for Robbie''s gig all being sold privately |

I am looking forward to it now, I hope his back will be better We are staying in Dublin overnight, just sooooooooo expensive Have they hiked up the prices Tess? I'm such a bad fan I don't know the list of tour dates or anything. All I know is London is 23rd June. Before the tour starts I'll put a thread up with all the dates on. I like to know where he's going to be etc. He seems to have settled at 34 dates until the Aussie tour is announced. Always assuming he's still doing it. Last year he said tickets would be on sale this year for the gigs next year. (If that makes sense ) I've seen posts on Twitter from the singers so rehearsals have obviously started (without RW at the mo I think). It can't be long before they come back to UK can it. |

I am not sure if he is doing the Aussie Tour, however, there is still the Kylie single and the book to come. I wonder what will be next, if he will take a time out after the tour or if he will do something else.
What happened to the Helena Bonham Carter thing? I am so used to something going on in Robbie world, I would miss him |
