Will be presenting the votes in order of receipt, apart from my own votes which I am leaving to the end for dramatic effect (maybe). All ties will be broken in the scoreboards throughout (breaking ties as in BJSC, by number of votes first then number of 12s, 10s etc.) and each post will have a lil bit of commentary about the songs / each participant's history in this contest / the effect of each vote on the current scoreboard. Because I have to be a little extra. x

I'll post one vote every 5 minutes so this will be done a little after 10pm (even if no one posts in the thread but let's hope that doesn't happen xx)

Lewis kicks off the voting! He was the only person to have his first choice of entry blocked due to an artist clash as he originally confirmed Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark's 'The Punishment Of Luxury', we'll find out soon who got OMD instead. Lewis' replacement was another classic British synthpop act: Erasure with their 2017 single 'Just A Little Love'.



Lewis is a returning entrant to this contest, he only entered one of the previous editions but made it count by coming 2nd with Loote's 'High Without Your Love' in PFSC III, can he go one better this time?

Stellar Dreams are off to a stellar start () with a 12 in the opening vote. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and SVEA complete the opening medal positions, while there's also early top 5 impact for Lewis' first choice artist OMD and his previous PFSC entrant Loote.

Next up we have James, recently returning to the site after some time away, and back in the contest with American pop duo Loote's 'Out Of My Head', the contest opener. I believe he was originally going to send this (or maybe a different Loote song) to BJSC 100 before pulling out of that contest - now it gets its moment!



James has got off to a great start being in the top 5 after one vote. This is his first appearance in PFSC (the first of six debutants - welcome ) but he's won both BJSC and Nuggets, could he add another song contest win to his belt? ;o

Aww isn't that nice, everyone gets a comment! (There aren't many other votes with this much commentary so enjoy it while it's here). Most of the people James predicted to have sent these songs are people who didn't actually enter the contest though.

Anyways, it's a second 12 in a row for Stellar Dreams, a dream opening for them (yes, I've made that pun on both of the words in their name now). Kid Moxie jumps to 2nd place, while Perez now shares the bronze with The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and it's joint 5th for Computer Magic and SVEA, with Sophie Elise also entering the top 10. Seven songs jump off the mark - who will be the last on 0?

Rollo's next up to bat and it's probably no surprise to anyone that he's behind 'Electricity' from Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, the one proper retro synthpop entry we got - it's the veteran British act's very first single, dating back to 1979.



Rollo is currently in the top 10 at this early stage, which would be a first for him in PFSC if it holds - he entered the last two contests coming 23rd and 19th.

We're just three votes in but are we already seeing the start of a landslide here? Stellar Dreams up to 36 points of a possible 36! Kid Moxie gets big points to stay 2nd but 17 points off the leader. Perez has the bronze alone now. Prides and Austra hop into the top 5, and we briefly have 11 songs in the top 10 with Sally Dige climbing to joint 10th with Rollo's own entry. 4 more songs get off 0.

Next we have Leonardo who entered Norwegian blogger-singer Sophie Elise with 'Lionheart', thankfully a far better song than 'All Your Friends' which infected BJSC last year



Like Lewis, Leonardo is making a return to PFSC after only previously entering PFSC III where he came 16th. He's currently doing a bit better than that in 7th.

Finally someone other than Stellar Dreams gets max points - it's a first 12 for Owl Eyes who shoots up to 4th as a result. Stellar Dreams get a few more points but there are more points going Kid Moxie's way, so the gap between the top two narrows to 10 points. Perez stays 3rd and Prides fall a place to 5th. Erasure also climb into the top 10 (which is back down to only containing 10 songs). Two more songs are lifted off the mark.

Our next set of votes comes from Mattias who provided one of the few foreign language entries in this edition, the very French 'Gamine' by Perez (from Paris )



Mattias is back in the PFSC after entering the first and second editions and missing the last two. His previous two entries came 17th and 13th but he's doing much better in this one so far, presently in the bronze medal slot!

Martin Mayer was one of the six songs still on 0 after 4 votes, but Mattias gets him off the mark in style with a first 12 which shoots him all the way to 5th place. More points to both of the top two, with Kid Moxie narrowing the gap by another point, as both run ahead of Mattias' own song in third. Owl Eyes stays 4th. Btw you're not alone Mattias, I didn't mind 'All Your Friends', but 'Lionheart' is... well, I ranked it second last in a not-that-brill contest. I'd still listen to 'Lionheart' 10 times than Emma Blackery one more time tho.

Harry is up next, he's gone with the diet trap flavoured 'Don't Mind Me' by Swedish singer SVEA.



Harry's our first voter so far who has entered every edition of PFSC so far. He managed to come 9th in the first edition with Carrie Underwood's 'Just A Dream', his only top 10 to date. At the moment he's not far off contending for a second top 10 hit. Makes a change!

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour get their first 12, putting them right back in the top ten in 4th place. Stellar Dreams expand their lead over Kid Moxie to 14 points, while Perez holds third place and Prides are back up to #5. Thanks guys It's a song I found quite a while back and had been sort of "sitting on" ever since! Glad I got to unleash it here.

It felt a bit odd giving my 12 points to what was probably the least "pop" of the lot btw (there was some discussion about this on plug) but I really like the track!

Next up we have Iz, who entered Finnish-born (of course) Swedish singer Suvi with the rather subtle 'Clovers'.



Iz is another returnee having sat out the last two PFSCs. His first two entries came 16th and 18th, unfortunately for him this one isn't currently looking like doing any better as it's one of two songs that has no points yet. Early days though...

Kristin Kontrol gets her first top marks which puts her in the top ten for the first time. Stellar Dreams get more big points while Kid Moxie is paid dust here, putting the gap back up to 22 points. Perez inches forward in third. Prides climb to 4th and Owl Eyes go up to 5th. Austra is back in the top 10, and Little Boots also climbs in there for the first time tonight. Bye bye from the top 10 for now to TĀLĀ, bülow and Martin Mayer.

I was re-listening to the songs as I was prepping each of these posts and I do have to say that Iz's entry was one of the bigger growers, as I expected it would be, after it made little impression on me the first time - I ended up keeping my votes based on the first impression though because I didn't want to be subconsciously influenced in any changes by knowing the results (although they wouldn't have greatly changed anyway).

Addy with the upside down name is up next and it is he who is behind German DJ Martin Mayer with 'Into You', remixed by Greek DJ Nayio Bitz. Let's *ahem* not dwell on the fact this song only very vaguely fits the theme.



Addy has entered all four previous PFSCs and has a very mixed record - he was the winner of the third edition with Loona's 'Bailando' and followed it up with a 2nd place finish in his own contest last time, but his two entries before that both finished in the bottom 2. Right now he's at neither extreme this time around, in fact sitting exactly in midtable.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour join Stellar Dreams in having multiple 12s, picking up their second here - a bit of a space theme That results in them jumping to 3rd, almost catching Kid Moxie. No points to the top two here. Perez and Prides, also with no points, drop a place each to 4th and 5th. Danny L Harle gets his first taste of the top 10, while OMD and Erasure are back up there, replacing Say Lou Lou, Kristin Kontrol and Little Boots. Addy gives Suvi her first point, so Iz is at least not the very last off zero again (I fear the level of triggering that would entail). Only Swedum is yet to score.

9/28 - Cameron

Pop mod Cameron is our next voter. He sent Swedum with 'L.O.V.E' - no points for guessing where this act comes from.



Cameron was of course the founder of this very contest, and he hosted both of the first two editions, as he managed to go and win it on his first try with Simone's 'Heart Shaped Hole'. He came top 10 in two of the next three contests as well, but right now he's holding the wooden spoon in this edition as the last person on zero points. Oops!

Kid Moxie picks up a first 12, and there are no points to Stellar Dreams here, so the top two gets a little more competitive again - a gap of 10 points. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour stay in third. Austra jumps three places to 4th, pushing Perez down to 5th. SVEA is back in the top 10 for Harry, replacing Danny L Harle, for the first time since the very start.

Former pop mod Liam is next to vote. Another entry that shouldn't be much of a surprise, as he's gone with 'Tropicale' by Italian singer Francesca Michielin, who of course was also behind Liam's BJSC winner 'Vulcano'. Another foreign language entry.



Liam has one of the best records in PFSC so far with four straight top ten finishes (a run of 4-9-7-5). Like Jade though he's gonna need some more points soon to keep that spotless record up, as Francesca is rather undeservedly in the bottom 5 right now ;o I can already hear Liam just writing off this entire contest. Oops x

Danny L Harle claims his first 12 of the night, putting him back into that top 10. The gap between the top two slims again to six points, Stellar Dreams yet to surrender the lead but facing increasing pressure from Kid Moxie. Perez and The Asteroids Galaxy Tour stay 3rd and 4th, while Prides sneak back up to the top 5. Little Boots is also back in the top 10 again, with OMD and SVEA slipping out.

We now call up Jeff. His entry is 'SAD AND BORED' by German born bülow who has apparently lived in every country in the world, featuring American rapper DUCKWRTH (not to be confused with the more famous rapper named Duckworth).



This is BridgeCow's PFSC debut. Elsewhere on the site he's already had medal positions in BJSC and Club Bizarre, at the moment he's just inside the top 20 here.

TĀLĀ, who's been predicted by some as the winner here, has so far been dipping in and out of the top 10 but a first 12 here pushes her up to her best yet position of 5th, perhaps this is where she starts to take off properly? Stellar Dreams and Kid Moxie both pull further ahead of the pack, with Kid Moxie lowering the gap again to just three points now. Perez is still third, while Prides go up a place to 4th again.

Chez is next up to vote, and it's he who is behind Malaysian (*.*) duo Stellar Dreams with 'Parallel', a song I had as a BJSC potential in the past, while Chez himself previously entered them to BJSC with another song, 'Infinity', which came 20th.



The identities of most of the songs at the top end of the scoreboard have thus far remained unrevealed, but we now reveal the song that's been atop the scoreboard since the very first vote! Chez entered 3 of the first 4 PFSCs, only missing the third edition, and managed three top 15 finishes but only one previous top 10 (8th placed 'Compass' by Two Steps From Hell featuring Merethe Soltvedt in PFSC II). He's well placed to smash that personal best, but will 'Parallel' remain 1st all night? Of course it's not out of the question that it might be just another 2nd place finish for Chez who has peaked in second place in just about every other contest on the site already... triggering intensifies xx We're still in the first half of the votes though so anything could yet happen.

Chez avoids shooting himself in the foot toooo much as he gives Kid Moxie only one point, reducing the gap between the top 2 to 2. A second 12 to Perez though, which tightens up the top 3. TĀLĀ goes up another place to 4th, swapping with Prides. OMD sneak back to the top 10 once again, swapping places with Little Boots.

At the halfway mark, we call upon Wardy for his votes. He sent 'Rock The Ride' by Danish group The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, who you might remember from their minor UK hit single 'The Golden Age' and/or their BJSC smash 'Heart Attack'.



Wardy is another member making a first appearance in the PFSC, and he's been doing pretty well on this first attempt, being in the medal positions earlier on although currently in the lower half of the top ten.

Just as it was starting to get competitive, Stellar Dreams pick up a fourth 12 and are all the way back to a 14 point lead. Chez can breathe again for a moment. No points to the other two songs in the top 3, but Prides swap back over with TĀLĀ again in 4th and 5th. Little Boots climbs straight back to the top 10 too with big points putting her up to 7th. OMD exit the top 10 once more. Halfway through, poor brave Cameron is still stuck on 0 points, will someone save him soon?

Cody, or AuraMasterCody as he's currently known (I don't know what that is referencing x), is our next voter. He went with California's Kid Moxie with 'Still High', which closed the show in this edition.



So that's another of the big hitters revealed - that's right, Cody is NOT FLOPPING so far having held onto 2nd place for nearly the entire reveal thus far. His best result so far in PFSC is 8th place in the last edition, which was his second top 10 out of four attempts. Looking good to get a well deserved new peak.

That's the "problem" I always have with these contests, you just don't always have time to let songs grow and my votes tend to reflect a moment in time more than anything else. I do tend to sometimes make sure I re-listen several times to the ones that feel like growers, but I didn't particularly do that in this contest

SavanSeize's cat votes now, and we can reveal they're behind the excellent 'Closure' by Australian native Owl Eyes. As I'm sure we all remember, Owl Eyes was the winner of Shadeurovision with the also brilliant 'Crystalised'. (What's that? No one remembers that? :okay:)



Savan is the sixth and final PFSC debutant to have their votes revealed, as I managed to lure him over to this forum for once with this theme. Savan knows his synthpop and he's doing very well on his first try at this contest, currently in fourth place.

Say Lou Lou get their first 12 giving them a little shove to the top 15. The top two duopoly of Stellar Dreams and Kid Moxie is finally broken as more big points go the way of Prides who advance to second place, 14 points behind the leader (Kid Moxie does close in by one point too for good measure). Little Boots has been chilling in and out of the lower top 10 all night but now cracks the top 5 for the first time, up to 4th place knocking Savan's own entry down to number five. Austra climbs back to 10th place, knocking out Loote.

Frank is currently hosting BJSC but thankfully managed to find the time to sneak some votes in this little old contest just before the semi results over there. Speaking of BJSC, his entry 'Beat And The Pulse' by Canadian band Austra is actually a former BJSC entry itself, coming 26th way back in BJSC 49 over five years ago. Austra was also sent again to that contest by Frank more recently with 'Future Politics'.



'Beat And The Pulse' is currently looking to get a much better result than the first time around, as it's just inside the top ten here at the moment. If it holds that it'll also be Frank's first PFSC top 10 - he's back in this contest after coming 20th and 26th in the first two editions and skipping the next two.

That Stellar Dreams reign just won't let up! 'Parallel' picks up its 5th 12 and becomes the first song to reach triple figures. They think it's all over... it isn't yet, as we still have a fair few votes left, although that 24 point lead looks nice for Chez right now. Prides and Kid Moxie stay in the other two medal slots, Owl Eyes go back up to 4th and TĀLĀ climbs again to 5th.

Our 20th voter is Dan, who sent in Finnish singer Olivera with 'Golden Plate'.



Dan is another entrant whose only previous PFSC appearance was the third edition (I mean it makes sense that the ones Dan enters are the two themes closest to dance music ) He came 14th then, and is currently a little off that mark this time, sitting just outside of the top 20.

Pretty unsurprisingly Dan's 12 goes to his his semi-namesake Danny L Harle, the second top score for the WhoOdyssey entry which duly hits a new peak of 4th place. There's also another bump for Stellar Dreams who expand their lead to an intimidating 32 points over Prides. Kid Moxie remains in third place and Perez returns to the top five in 5th. My good friend Bal came out of song contest retirement to enter here <3 as if he didn't make it obvious with his comment in the thread his entry is 'Stay Here In The Sun' by British-Iranian singer (and former Persephonian BJSC artist) TĀLĀ, with a featured credit for British DJ and semi-regular chart star Naughty Boy.



Bal entered the first PFSC - in which he came 6th with Kesha's 'Love Into The Light' - but missed the next three. He's currently looking at a second top 10 with this comeback entry, if maybe not the winner some were predicting. (don't hate me Bal, I can't rig it xx)

Say Lou Lou get a second 12, pushing them back up to 10th after spending a while outside the top 10. No points to Stellar Dreams allowing Prides to begin to close that gap again, now a mere 25 points separating them. 10 points to Little Boots puts her in the medal positions for the first time, with Kid Moxie now dropping to 4th after spending so long in the top 2. Leww is up next, with LA-based Kristin Kontrol's 'X-Communicate'. I remember this song well from being a BJSC potential for Aeroche a while back (I believe?), and well, if their rejects are this good it's no wonder Aeroche always do so well.



Leww hasn't yet won this contest but he's done consistently well in it, not entering the first edition but having a run of 5-8-10 in the next three. It's currently not yet clear if Kristin will continue that top 10 run as she's been in and out, currently in 13th place.

Perez picks up his third 12 and just like that is right back in the medal positions, in third place and only a few points off second. No points here for either of the top two. Danny L Harle climbs back up to 4th again, with Little Boots falling back to 5th. Disaster striking for Kid Moxie who falls straight from 4th to 8th, Cody snatching a flop from the jaws of success? 23/28 - Jüpiter

We go to Jupiter now, who sent in 'Everything We Touch' by Australian-Swedish duo Say Lou Lou who were once quite popular on BuzzJack and had a bit of hype in the real world (appearing on the BBC Sound of 2014 list) but that didn't ever seem to amount to much.



Jupiter is getting his wish of doing a lot better here than in BJSC, he surpassed his 11 point total from that very early on and is currently in the top 10 here. Should be a new PFSC peak for Jupiter, who's another one whose only previous appearance was PFSC III where he came 22nd.

It wasn't Chez's entry, but Owl Eyes gets the 12 from Jupiter, her second top score of the night. That keeps the medal positions fiercely competitive as it pushes 'Closure' into the top 3 for the first time, in third place. More big points to Prides and nothing to Stellar Dreams means the gap between the top two shrinks to 15 points - still time for something to catch the leader! Perez and Danny L Harle drop a place each to 4th and 5th. Kid Moxie climbs back to 6th, and we say hello again to OMD in the top 10, knocking Austra down once more.

24/28 - Lindsey 🙃

Time for Lindsey upside down smiley face's votes, and another entry that probably wasn't much of a mystery - she is of course behind her Scottish compatriots Prides with the wonderful 'Messiah', which I believe she tried to send to BJSC before but got vetoed. Prides gave me my first top 5 result in Unknown Pleasures with 'Out Of The Blue', and this song is even better than that one in my humble opinion.



Prides are sitting pretty in second place, still very much in the shuffle to potentially win the whole thing. Lindsey entered 3 of the last 4 PFSCs (only missing the third one), coming top 15 in all but top 10 only in PFSC II where she came 6th with Evelina's 'Honey' (feat. Mikael Gabriel). Closely tracking the PFSC results of Chez funnily enough, who she's currently battling for the top spot.

Kristin Kontrol grabs a third 12 but stays a little bit off the top 10 mark. No points to Stellar Dreams here so Lindsey minimises foot-shooting - the only big points she gave to any of the current top 10 were to Little Boots, who thus climbs back to third place. Owl Eyes and Perez retreat to 4th and 5th, and the only change elsewhere in the top ten is a single point to OMD who climb to 9th.

Our second (and final, oops x) set of pop mod votes come from Jonjo, who sent a track from the soundtrack to 13 Reasons Why - German-American duo HAERTS with 'Your Love'.



Like Liam, Jonjo had a flawless record of top 10 hits in the previous four PFSCs, a run of 10-2-6-7. Also like Liam, that run appears to be in tatters as he's currently down in 22nd place. D:

Sophie Elise gets her first 12, she fell back pretty far after a good start but is given a helping hand here back towards the top 20. As we approach the business end of these results, the pressure is back in full force on Stellar Dreams - another snub for them and more big points for Prides, reducing the gap to just 7 points! Lindsey crosses the 100 point mark in the process. Owl Eyes climbs back to 3rd place, swapping with Little Boots, while Perez holds in 5th. Big points to Loote see them make another top 10 comeback in ninth, knocking out Say Lou Lou. Oh and down at the bottom, Cameron gets three more points to finally jump off last place, ahead of Iz who has so far got just two points, eek! Y'all not treating this pop forum comeback nicely.

26/28 - travis

Into the last three votes, next up is Travis, with probably the most guessable entry of the whole lot - of course he went with the only Asian song on the list, 'Eclipse' by Kim Lip, from K-Pop group LOOΠΔ (a couple of the other LOOΠΔ-adjacent solo releases were in BJSC earlier this year).



Travis missed out on the first PFSC but entered all the others, he grabbed a 3rd place finish with Meng Jia's 'Drip' in PFSC II but underperformed in the next two editions including coming last in the last one. He's currently just about on course for his second highest PFSC position, in 17th place.

I haven't mentioned Reyko at all tonight yet, but they pick up a first 12 here which pushes them into the top 20. More dramatic news at the top end of the list though - after being in the lead from the very first vote, Stellar Dreams are finally knocked off on the 26th vote!! Prides pick up the 7 points necessary to tie with Stellar Dreams, and if that tie holds then Lindsey will be our winner as she has more votes. The battle for 3rd place rages on as Little Boots climbs back to 3rd again ahead of Owl Eyes, while Danny L Harle returns to 5th place swapping with Perez. Yet another swapsie for OMD who fall back to 11th, with Say Lou Lou re-entering the top 10 again.

Our penultimate set of votes come from Dobbo, whose votes came in as I was typing up the rest of these - cutting it fine but I did say I'd allow it! His entry is 'Spinning Over You' by London duo Reyko.



Reyko have been lying low in the results but of course got that bump from the 12 in the last vote - much needed if Dobbo is to keep up his 100% run of top 20 hits in PFSC to date (a run of 7-19-4-14).

...normal service is resumed! Stellar Dreams grab a sixth 12 - twice as many as any other act has managed, with Kristin Kontrol and Perez the runners-up with three maximum scores each - to regain the lead with just my votes to go I get to decide! Yay x Prides do get a handful of points here too, so the gap is now 7 points. Little Boots stays 3rd, we technically still don't know whose entry that is but let's be real, I didn't send Little Boots to this so there's a 33% deduction coming her way and all this medal position contending was in vain. There's still a race for third place, as Danny L Harle climbs into 4th place, knocking Owl Eyes back down to 5th. Another burst for Austra puts them back up to 9th, with Say Lou Lou leaving the top 10 again (but still currently 10th factoring in Little Boots' deduction).

Me announcing my own votes last for dramatic effect. (I did finalise my votes before I even looked at anyone else's let alone knew the results, don't worry xx) My own entry was 'Perfect Game' by New York based Computer Magic.



I won the last contest with HANA's 'Underwater' (hence why I have been presenting these results tonight ) but the rest of my run in this thing is more what you'd expect from me in a pop contest - I had a run of 25-16-13-1 thus far. Obviously can't keep up that upward momentum but it looks like unless I dramatically shoot myself in the foot I will get a fourth top 20 hit. Not bad when I've barely got to mention my song in these commentaries tonight. Thanks to those who voted for my song anyway, especially JSG for the 8 *.* x

Let me just reveal what my 12 was for now... (!)

Did I mention how much I love that song? Surprisingly despite Prides doing very well all night this is actually their first and only 12. It could still be enough for them to win it though - pending the reveal of the rest of my votes they sit 5 points ahead of Stellar Dreams. I can reveal I did vote for Stellar Dreams as well... but did I give them the 6+ points they need to win? Final result dropping at 11pm sharp, Cody confirmed psychic x

I've got to the end of this prep without receiving any votes from UltraReputation (bad mod etc.!!1 maybe just too busy celebrating 'Shopping In Lidl' qualifying eh) so unfortunately it is going to have to be a 33% deduction for her entry, which is of course 'Eros' by long-since-irrelevant-but-still-making-music British pop starlet Little Boots featuring German-based British singer Planningtorock.



'Eros' was in third place as of the last vote but will have to miss out on the top 10 as a result of the deduction - not the first time Sam has been subject to a deduction ruining her PFSC result, as she settled for 9th with Ana Mena's 'Loco Como Yo' in PFSC III despite actually winning the thing before the deduction. Oops. That's still her only top 10 finish in PFSC despite entering all of them.

And what a brilliant top 3 in the end, all in my top 5 *.* commiserations to Lindsey coming so very close to snatching it there, I was really hoping for and kind of expecting a Prides victory but alas it wasn't to be. My votes secure the bronze medal for SevenSeize and Owl Eyes, and it's a great showing too for WhoOdyssey in 4th place and Mattias returning to the top 5 with Perez in the dying moment after flitting in and out all night (aided by Little Boots' deduction, as she would have been 4th without the deduction).

Cody ends up 6th with Kid Moxie after a valiant run in the top 2 in the first half, Bal lands 7th place, Frank sneaks up to 8th, and Rollo who has been in and out of the top 10 more times than I could count ultimately ends up IN, finishing 9th (so would have been 10th even before the deduction for Little Boots). JSG is the lucky one to nab a top 10 place thanks to Sam's non-voting. 17th place for myself is not too bad as well. Spare a thought for Cameron and Iz who ended up the whipping boys of the contest... and also Jonjo and Liam who lose their 100% top 10 streaks in dramatic fashion </3

Thanks to everyone who participated in this ~record-breaking~ edition of the Pop Forum Song Contest, have had a lot of fun having the opportunity to host it! I may have been off about TĀLĀ winning but at least I was right about Prides coming 2nd as for my own song... pfft, bottom 5?! I cannae at it being slept on. But I can't say I'm all that surprised as I did expect to flop. Thank you for those last minute 5 points though Bray and for your hosting as it was on point despite any internet issues, really enjoyed the effort with the commentaries!

I was expecting to be like bottom 5 after glancing at the list, so I’m glad that this exceeded my expectations realty! Thanks to everyone who pointed my track! Parallel was by far my favorite discovery since I knew of the Kristin Kontrol song before the contest so I’m glad to see that on top! Thanks for doing this Bray, and congrats to you for getting through those internet issues!

Eek sorry Lindsey! Wow at my late votes actually changing the winner to the narrowest degree (Parallel was an absolute beaut of a track tho so in that sense thank goodness I did vote!)

Awww at just missing out on extending my top 20 streak, at least my initial prediction of 18th wasn't too far out. That run of dance mods past & present just outside the top 20 too!

Gosh, these results have been a bit tense these past few days

Thank you all very much! Like I said, I did think this one would have more of a chance than Infinity did in BJSC but I didn't think it would get near the win, especially with all these very well known names included. I am obvs extremely thrilled as I love this group's material since I discovered them last year and this theme was a perfect opportunity to send one, so pleased it connected with so many of you, thank you all very much for the votes (especially you Dobbo, was your votes that just about made me win )

Fantastic to see my 12 in the top 10 as well as quite a few of my votes including the glorious Owl Eyes up in 3rd, one of my favourite late discoveries last year. Great hosting Bre, you are relieved for making me suffer through that night x

Really not a fan of the winner at all, but congrats Chez!

Really well hosted Bray, ik I keep moaning and it's not to put you down, I really enjoyed the commentaries and pacing, and props with the internet issues without having a mini-meltdown as I probs would hosting The theme just didn't work out for my tastes and I feel really disheartened that one of my fave artists came so low with so few points to so many songs I just found boring and nothingy

Hopefully the next theme is a bit more "fun" for want of a better word, this was something different and it's not always gonna be to my taste

Well done Chez. Wonderful song. After the first listen,I had Stellar Dreams 1st and Prides 2nd but after listening to the best songs again,while Stellar Dreams stayed 1st,I moved Prides down to 5th place,sorry Lindsey.

Thanks to the 14 people who gave points to OMD's Electricity. I'm very happy with 9th place,a big improvement on the last two pop contests.

@ Liam it's fine, I understand - I was really gutted at how badly Francesca did as well because it didn't sound like a bottom 3 at allll to me (I nearly voted for it myself) and it sucks for you to do so badly when you didn't enjoy the contest much to begin with :x here's hoping that's just a blip ~

OI SHADE it's true tho

I wasn't expecting much for Emma Blackery but at least now she's got some (negative?) recognition on Buzzjack I had another potential which would have probably done a lot better but I was set on sending Agenda expecting a #genericsongbloc she'd fit right into... I'll save the other for a future BJSC maybe. I wonder if I'll ever go Top 20 again after Pulp

Congrats to Chez! Even if I wasn't a big fan of Stellar Dreams, I'm happy that Prides put up such a fight though right until the end! bülow deserved more

Great job hosting Bré despite the issues I was planning on doing some commentary to spice it up a bit (albeit not for every song) but time got ahead of me and I didn't get chance oops
