As far as I know, it's going to be uptempo. Adam mentioned that he's going to release no less than 124 BPM songs this year on Instagram stories. If it's taken into consideration that, his last songs were "This Is What You Came For" and "Hype" with that tempo.

Yeah! I'm aware that this rumour contradicts what Calvin mentioned before, so I'm leaning to think that this is false. Maybe I'm too excited and hyped about this collaboration, so I only want that any of them to announce it properly?

ETA: The Halsey remix (I guess it will be "Alone") isn't out yet.

Well... This is interesting. The source which mentioned that this could be released today says that 'it is loaded up on most streaming services', but they don't have any idea why it's not out yet.

Personally, I'm inclined to think that this could have the same release as "Nuh Ready Nuh Ready": A simultaneous premiere on BBC Radio 1 and Beats 1 which will lead onto its release. So, in case this happens, it may be released in a couple of hours, although there's a possibility that they are holding off the release too and it will be released sometime next week as Calvin mentioned before.

Anyway, I'm intrigued because there hasn't been any formal announcement of the collaboration yet and the only one (sort of) has been the QR code in the header of his social media accounts, which could have been there for days if anyone didn't check what's behind of it.

As a side note, the Halsey remix isn't out yet, but I guess that Capitol (Halsey's label) has the last decision when it will be released rather than Calvin's.

After my first couple of listens yesterday I was left thinking that it was distinctly ok, but the more I listen the more I’m enjoying it - it’s quite the earworm! I really like Dua’s laidback vocal delivery, it compliments the production. A nice, chilled bop! Surely a hit.

This was instant love for me. It's so beautifully retro and at the same time I think it'll pave the way for a lot of artists channelling this style in the future.

Lyrically it's so lovely and her vocals are gorgeous. Heard it on a night out too and it just TAKES YOU TO PLACES.

I'm a little surprised at the prospect of this going to #1. I know Dua is huge right now and Calvin can still easily get hits with the right song/featured artist, but to do better than Drake and Chris Brown - one who could fart through a microphone and be #1 for a several weeks and one that's on a novelty record that seemed like it was catching on big time - is a bit of a surprise to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely thrilled because it is indefinitely the better song.

It's stunning It suits the song perfectly and as Liam said, is what you think of when you hear the song. It's properly sold the song to me, I've been on the fence about it for so long but I'm glad I'm firmly off as it feels so wrong to not love a Dua single!

There are a lot of factors in my opinion (besides that the US audience doesn't know the deal) and one of them is that the track has received poor reception there so far. You could see http://www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/call/callout.asp the current callout, which is updated each Friday, and it shows how a song is making a connection with the US audience and "One Kiss" is at the bottom. It's the least positive, the second least favourite and the fourth highest negative. Also, the 90s house genre isn't something that the US would embrace easily, so that's another con too. In regards of Dua Lipa, "New Rules" is still receiving a lot of rotation there as a recurrent and I think one thing that benefitted "One Kiss" (in a sort of way) was that "IDGAF" peaked and began to free-fall some weeks ago, so there wasn't a congestion of her.

Personally, I think this is exceeding my expectations in the US, although I wish it could do much better than it's currently doing to be honest. I would be extremely happy if this sneaks the Top 5 at US Pop radio, but I doubt it's going to happen at this point.

I think it going viral was mainly caused by Liverpool fans and the FA Cup final and TikTok latching onto it since then. The Potion release has helped too but it's not the main reason that caused the revival.
