I'm not gonna pay £65 for a ticket on the slight chance the Spice girls will be there! No one else on the line-up i'm interested in - well except Leona - but I wouldn't buy a ticket just to see her. At least it will be on TV if the SG are there!

Spice Girls refuse to reunite for Brits?
Sunday, February 14 2010, 16:06 GMT

By Catriona Wightman, Entertainment Reporter

The Spice Girls have reportedly refused to reunite for the Brit Awards.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the stars were hoping to attend the ceremony together because of their nomination for 'Brits Performance of 30 Years'.

However, the group allegedly changed their mind when organisers refused to tell them if they had won.

"The girls were going to try and be there," a source said. "Nowadays with their hectic schedules it's a nightmare trying to get them in the same place at the same time. But they were going to make it happen. Victoria would have flown in from New York Fashion Week and Mel C was going to get the night off Blood Brothers in the West End.

"But they were only willing to make it happen if it was worth all the effort and they won. But the Brits people refused to tell them either way, so they decided they'd be represented by a couple of them in case, but won't make the effort to get them all together. It's a real blow."

Geri Halliwell and Mel B are reportedly the only two members of the group who will now attend the ceremony.

Recent reports have revealed that organisers are struggling to persuade the other nominees in the 'Brits Performance' category to attend.

This makes perfect sense... there's no reason why the people who are busy should make an effort to turn up if they haven't won. Although obviously it's also a bit divaish to expect the Brits to tell them whether they've won or not.

I agree with what you said on both points, i think what the brits should have done is close the voting lines earlier and let the winning act know they have won so they would show up, the problem is so many groups up for the award have split up and some dont speak so it could be very messy on the night, and worse if the winner isnt there either.

Well its fashion week, Victoria is busy with that and Melanie C is in Blood Brothers every night and it would be a bit unproffesional of her to take the night of to go and collect an award for a band that no longer together. Im pretty sure if she wasnt in Blodd Brothers she would have been there. I have no idea why Emma wasnt there as im sure she was free, and as for the other two they would turn up to anything!
