First chart of April a wee bit late, sees Inna taking a second #1 this year and her sixth overall. She's now joint leader in the alltime stakes, alongside HAIM and Lana Del Rey. Tinashe slips to #2 after a mammoth run already. Inna takes the top spot a little by default as older songs fall away around her rather than because I've absolutely hammered the song this month, but it's still a solid effort from her a decade into her music career. Fellow Romanian track Tango also ascends into this week's top 5. Elsewhere in the chart, Years & Years re-peak inside the top ten, Camila's Never Be the Same rises to equal Havana's peak (#8), BoTalks, Mat Kearney and Karen Harding zoom up with huge rises, and Whinnie Williams scores her first top 20.

Highest new entry this week only comes at #18, and it's a debut for Sean Paul, Becky G and Guetta's Watch Di Tempo...uh, I mean, Mad Love. It's a track it took me a bit longer to get into until I got addicted to Becky G's hook, which is, to be fair, why it's there. Other new entries this week come from, in order, Grace Carter, Shy Martin, Sabrina Carpenter, Pink, Nicki, Janelle Monae, Sleigh Bells, Hayley Kiyoko and Honne. It's a welcome return especially for those last two who haven't been around really since 2016 when they scored massive top tens.
