Richard’s Official Top 40 Singles (Week Ending 19.03.06)

Chart 116 (Week 12 Of 2006):

Amelle proved a winning formula for the Sugababes last week as the girls third single from their forth album (Taller In More Ways), Red Dress went straight in at the top last week knocking Meck and Leo Sayer down to No.3 with Thunder In My Heart Again. This week sees eight brand spanking new entries all setting out for that all important No.1 spot. Beverley Knight returns after a year’s absence with Piece Of My Heart, the first new track to be lifted from Beverley’s forthcoming Greatest Hits album “Voice: Best Of” out next week which includes Come As You Are (#6) and Keep This Fire Burning (#2). Pump It is the forth single to be taken from the Black Eyed Peas latest album Monkey Business but can the song sampled from Pulp Fiction give the four piece yet another top twenty hit single? Foo Fighters release the forth single from their latest album In Your Honour but can No Way Back put the lads back in the top ten? Girls Aloud release the forth single from their latest album No.1 album “Chemistry”. Whole Lotta History sees the Girls at their sweetest yet but can it give the Girls a fifth No.1 single? Wisemen this week receives a release for the second time but can the song be added to James Blunt’s ever growing list of No.1 singles? Kelly Clarkson releases Walk Away, from her No.1 album Breakaway but will the song see Kelly back in the top ten for the first time since September? Another Place To Fall, arguably the best track on KT Tunstall’s debut album “Eye To The Telescope” this week charts but will it give KT her highest peaking single to date beating that of Suddenly I See which peaked at No.3 last September (and to date remains the highest climbing song to date on the chart)? This week also sees the release of Massive Attack’s new single, featuring Terry Callier taken from their forthcoming “Collected” album.

01. (01) Sugababes – Red Dress
Catchy track, still hanging on for me this week, I don't think its No.1 material for me

02. (**) KT Tunstall – Another Place To Fall
Another great from KT, she has a great voice, all of her singles have made the top 10 in my chart so far. Looking forward to her new album.

03. (**) Girls Aloud – Whole Lotta History
I like it, but not as good as their last single they should have released Wild Horses in my opinion, would have made a better single

04. (**) James Blunt – Wisemen
It's ok-ish, but James Blunt is getting a tad boring for me now

05. (02) Kanye West feat. Lupe Fiasco – Touch The Sky
I like this, his music is catching on with me, I didn't like his earlier stuff, but his new material sounds better in my opinion

06. (03) Meck feat. Leo Sayer - Thunder In My Heart Again
Dance anthem of the year for me

07. (04) Corinne Bailey Rae – Put Your Records On
I've actually gone off this, it has became a little boring for me lately

08. (16) Placebo – Because I Want You
Great track from them, back to form again, hope they last.

09. (05) Orson – No Tomorrow
My new No.1 track in my personal finally booted Madonna off the top spot

10. (07) The Feeling - Sewn
This was my No.1 track until late Thursday, doone I decided to change places with Orson, it was really a tight finish.

Great chart as always, and not a bad track in the top 10.
