A couple of useful links:

https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/32/aintree/2017-04-08/667345

The racecard for the Grand National. The 40 horses from 1-40 are running unless anyone drops out then say the 41st horse would then be granted a run.

Highland Lodge loves the National fences worth a punt each-way.

We know he does.

Great win for Tea For Two in the Bowl over Cue Card.

Remember some bookies will payout for the first 5 or 6. Have a look at betting firms that are doing that.

Guess no-one is, oh well.

I'm on:

Uncello Conti
Shantou Flyer
Bishops Road
Drop Out Joe
Stellar Notion
Saphir Du Rhea

End of the day it's a complete lottery. It's uncommon that the 'best' horse technically wins. A lot of mine are punts, because you never know with this race and especially in the big meetings in general.

Posted by: Cassidy 7th April 2017, 11:55 PM

Ucello Conti + Vieux Lion Rouge are two I've had moderate success with in the past so leaning towards them at the minute. Like our Ren said though, it really is anyone's guess.

Today was a fun day for horse racing. Had three winners and a second in the first four races then absolutely shithoused the last two races and barely broke even. ONWARDS. UPWARDS.

Posted by: Mack 8th April 2017, 07:54 AM

Big price winners yesterday at 50/1 there.

A complete lottery indeed. A horse who stays, jumps will win. Could be an outsider again.

Posted by: Mack 8th April 2017, 11:33 AM

Cocktails at Dawn 66/1 to 25/1.

Quite a gamble there.

Posted by: Ultra💚🚦🐱 8th April 2017, 11:36 AM

Bet on:
Vieux Lion Rouge
Rogue Angel
Double Shuffle

hopefully I do well this year!

Posted by: Dobbo 8th April 2017, 11:41 AM

Gone for Saphir Du Rheu & Wounded Warrior per the Sweepstake and another on Pleasant Company.

Posted by: Sevn Bru 8th April 2017, 11:59 AM

My bets for the biggest day of the year *.*

The Last Samuri £2 e/w
Rogue Angel £2 e/w
Saint Are £1.50 e/w
Regal Encore £1 e/w (for buzzjack sweepstake purposes)

Posted by: Brett-Ocat 8th April 2017, 01:11 PM

I put £3 each way on Ucello Conti & La Vaticane. I have high hopes for the former, but not for the latter (whom I only put a bet on because of its name). My mum's put money on Wonderful Charm, because she wants Katie Walsh to win.

Posted by: Mack 8th April 2017, 03:36 PM

A double today in San Benedetto and Yanworth.

Posted by: Oliver 🐱 8th April 2017, 04:36 PM

Get In Thereeeeeee!

Posted by: Sevn Bru 8th April 2017, 04:36 PM

Well done One For Arthur/Derek Fox/Lucinda Russell *.* bringing it home for Scotland!

Saint Are coming home for me in 3rd <3 great to see him back up there

Posted by: Oliver 🐱 8th April 2017, 04:37 PM

Put £3.75 each way on it so got £82.50 winnings!

Posted by: Dobbo 8th April 2017, 04:46 PM

Nothing from mine unsurprisingly. Feel for the people who had Rogue Angel lead practically the entire race up till the end!

Posted by: Ultra💚🚦🐱 8th April 2017, 04:51 PM

My 3 horses were the top 3 until the last few fences and they all just disappeared!! laugh.gif Typical luck for me!

Posted by: Jade 🐱 8th April 2017, 04:51 PM

I missed the whole of the race because I was in the bath oops, but my family won £95.50 because one of the horses they put a bet on was the winner *. yasssss

Posted by: Mack 8th April 2017, 05:36 PM

He came from way back to lead to the last two fences. My first win since 2003. I got the 1-2 and 5th with Gas Line Boy at 66/1.

Did anyone do their horses from the sweepstake?.

Posted by: RobBob 8th April 2017, 05:56 PM

Put £3 each way on Cause Of Causes at 20/1 so I've got a nice £18 there. Not loads but still feels great to win and there's nothing like the thrill at the end of your horse suddenly coming up the pack after barely being mentioned all race.

Took 20/1 on One For Arthur back in February when the entries were published plus £2 e/w on him as well.
