Red Bull's team principal Christian Horner has been cleared of inappropriate behaviour towards a female colleague following an internal investigation.
Allegations of inappropriate and controlling behaviour had been made against the 50-year-old. "Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial," said a spokesperson. |

Glad to hear this, do think it is unfair he was named but the accuser keeps their name private, should never have been in the newspapers unless he was found to have done it.

Mixed feelings, happy for Geri despite whatever I think of her now (and I have never really liked Christian) but ultimately I want Geri to be happy.
Though I cant deny the thought of her away from him and any version of her than the lady of the country manor version I would take in a heartbeat. I just cant stand the person she is now, it is exactly the person I avoid in life at all costs. |

Christian Horner back in eye of F1 storm after email leaks alleged messages Purported messages emailed to media and senior F1 staff Mercedes’ Toto Wolff calls for more transparency over case The opening of the new Formula One season was dramatically overshadowed on Thursday evening after a leaked email purporting to contain images of messages between Christian Horner and the female member of staff who made a complaint against him was sent to media, team members and senior personnel within F1 and the sport’s governing body the FIA. Less than 24 hours after the result of the investigation into Horner for alleged inappropriate behaviour had exonerated the Red Bull team principal and dismissed the grievance, the sport was once more engulfed in speculation and conjecture after the anonymous email circulated around the paddock at the first race of the season in Bahrain. The email which was sent from two different email addresses three separate times to the recipients and contained 79 images on a Google drive link including what purports to be messages between Horner and the female employee whose complaint prompted Red Bull Racing’s parent company Red Bull GmbH to instigate an investigation several weeks ago. While Horner and Red Bull had hoped to be able finally to return their focus to racing during the second practice session of the day in Bahrain, attention was turned firmly away from the timing screens shortly after the session had begun at 6.22pm local time. The images had been sent to journalists across the international press, team bosses and figures within the FIA and F1 management, under the subject header: “Christian Horner investigation evidence”, with the introduction to the email stating: “Following Red Bull’s recent investigation and statements you will be interested to see the materials attached”. There is no indication by whom the emails were sent and the veracity of their content cannot be proven. Reacting to the incident Horner stridently reasserted his denial of the allegations of inappropriate behaviour made against him and restated that he was found to have no case to answer by the independent investigation conducted by an English barrister. “I won’t comment on anonymous speculation,” he said. “But to reiterate I have always denied the allegations, I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way. It was a thorough and fair investigation, conducted by an independent specialist barrister, and it has concluded dismissing the complaint made. I remain fully focused on the start of the season.” On Wednesday the result of the investigation was announced by Red Bull GmbH, which issued a short statement declaring the grievance had been dismissed but that it would not be revealing any details of the complaint, what materials or evidence the investigation had seen or the findings it made to protect the confidentiality of those involved. The inquiry lasted weeks and is understood to have resulted in a report of 600 pages. Horner has been under intense scrutiny since the matter was made public on 5 February, during which time he repeatedly, emphatically denied any wrongdoing. The decision not to release any information provoked disquiet in the paddock with the Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff, demanding transparency from the company and other senior figures within F1 also believe that after such a high profile affair that brought the sport’s reputation into question, transparency is required to ensure the issue has been dealt with correctly. Before the leaked email emerged, Wolff, who had insisted the investigation should be made public because it reflected on F1 as a whole, declared he did not believe it was satisfactory for the incident to be closed without any disclosure of detail or process. “There is a lady in an organisation that has spoken to HR and said there was an issue, and it was investigated and yesterday, the sport has received the message that it’s all fine, we’ve looked at it,” he said. “I believe with the aspiration as a global sport, on such critical topics, it needs more transparency, and I wonder what the sport’s position is.” The McLaren team principal, Zak Brown, concurred and maintained that F1 and the governing body, the FIA, should be given access to the investigation’s findings to reach their own conclusions to ensure the sport was not being brought into disrepute. “The sanctioning body has a responsibility and authority to our sport, to our fans,” he said. “They need to make sure that things have been fully transparent with them. It needs to be thorough, fully transparent and that they come to the same conclusion that has been given by Red Bull and that they agree with the outcome. Until then, there’ll continue to be speculation, because there are a lot of unanswered questions about the whole process.” With the pressure growing on Red Bull GmbH to share the information Wolff warned that F1 had to commit to proving its stated commitment to ethical behaviour. “As a sport, we cannot afford to leave things vague and opaque on critical topics like this, because this is going to catch us out,” he said. F1 and the FIA have yet to comment on the outcome of the investigation or the process itself as it is understood neither party has been privy to any information from the inquiry. Earlier in the day Horner had expressed his desire to put the events of the previous weeks behind him and return to running his team. The parent company’s statement did not address whether Horner would remain as team principal and CEO of Red Bull Racing which led to some speculation over his future role with the team. He has not spoken formally in Bahrain, where he was on the pit wall overseeing his team’s first practice session of the new season but was unequivocal when asked about his future. “It is very good to be here. I’m not going anywhere,” he said. “It’s an honour to lead this team and I’m delighted to be here defending our world titles.” |

The leaked whatsapp are more damaging to Geri/his relationship than his job I would say. He was clearly persuing this woman and or having an affair with her from what can be read.
I guess it could also cross a line if he is her boss too as an abuse of power. Not sure how Geri plays this now, he was obviously playing away or wanted to with this woman. With his job he will be away from Geri a lot and it would be hard to trust him after knowing about these messages. |

I just came across this on twitter and damn, it is a lot. Yeah, it doesnt seem like abuse, more like flirting and cheating. Now the messages are being used as a personal attack on him and his job.
I can't believe they also leaked his dick picture, that's wild. I hope Geri is ok, or will be. |

Though having read through more there are some very dubious messages when you think he is her boss. He admits wanking over her in a plane bathroom, he also asks for pics of her, he asks to see her on cam (pretty much begs), he sent her pics of his body.
That isn't the sort of stuff a boss should be sending an employee. She is receptive at times but also does constantly question should he be sending these messages too. You have to think was she worried about her job in any way if she outright said stop this is inappropriate, which she does at the end. |

It also asks big questions of the internal 'investigation' Red Bull did as no one seeing those messages would surely think that is appropiate between a boss and employee.
Christian also was very careful in his statement, he didn't call them fake or comment on the whatsapps directly which is very telling. Just parrotted his I'm innocent of accusations line. Having seen these I'm inclined to believe he did try and pay her off too as he would not want these messages seeing the light of day. |

I'm not surprised. The investigation was a white wash. How many investigations into rich, powerful men do anything?
I honestly don't think Geri will respond to these messages. I dunno how up tp date y'all are with high society formula 1 gossip, but basically everyone knows she started showing up one day, hanging out with everyone and introducing herself to all the drivers. That's fine - she's famous/ rich and can't just date at a coffee shop or go on tindr. Some people use dating apps when they want to find a relationship, others the club, but Geri went to the F1 high society scene. She wanted a relationship and so went for someone who is landed gŵntry. Seeing as he is her ticket to the landed gèntry that she has so desperately wanted since meeting the royalty, I can honestly never see her leaving him, as much as we all might want that. In fact, even if she DID, tye persona she has adopted, to ingratiate herself with the Tory landed gèntry, is now set. I read those messages and wow. Zero riz, 0 personality, and comes across as a horny - lol at his name - pest. He is also very unattractive. That poor woman, having to rebuff him constantly! There was one exchange like: "Send me a photo" Her reply: "I've just had coco puffs ans I'm in bed"!!!! |

The 50-year-old has always denied the claims. The embattled Red Bull F1 boss initially broke cover at the Grand Prix on Saturday morning with no sign of his wife Geri Halliwell after his wife found out the texts were leaked as she was flying in a private jet. I actually feel a bit sorry for her, she actually looked sad and it was a bit uncomfortable watching them together. I don't think she will leave him because she loves that lifestyle but I don't think she is happy having to accept this either.
Notice they weren't interlocking fingers holding hands he is holding her hand, I do wonder if he is controlling in certain ways. I wouldn't be shocked if he said you need to be by my side supporting me even if she has reservations about it. |

I agree, it may be all smiles and kisses for the cameras, but I think the look in her eyes deceives her. The body language seems off too. I feel like it would have translated better if they’d just appeared together and didn’t do the PDA. Clearly overcompensating and people can see right through that. Although like I said, this is her life choice and we’ll have to trust that she knows what she’s doing. But after years of portraying an idyllic upper class fairytale, that public image is currently tarnished. I never like to see anybody being publicly humiliated. |

His parents didn't go to Geri and Christian's wedding as they didn't approve of what happened. Not that that is anything on Geri just that he has history. One of the whatsapps leaked reads very much like he had something with this woman too as she mentions boundaries changing. I think he almost certainly was seeing her either whilst he was with Geri or his previous partner too. |
