South Africa‘s parliament has passed a motion to seize land from white farmers without paying them compensation. ************************************ Is this policy justified based on the country's sad history, or could it backfire dramatically as it did in Zimbabwe? |

No more right than it would be if the UK government passed a motion seizing land off the descendants of the landed gentry who grabbed land centuries ago and passed it down the generations, leaving the peasants to struggle and do as they were told.
That would also not go down well, no matter what the moral argument might be. |
