BuzzJack Music Forum _ Little Mix _ Little Mix on X Factor tonight

Posted by: Tinasha 11th December 2016, 09:39 AM

I know this doesn't really need its own thread, but I'm starting the hype train.

Oops & Touch.
Charlie's here.
Big choreo.
Big production.

My wig is ready to fly.

The charts ain't ready for the fire Little Mix are about to bring

Posted by: caseclosed 11th December 2016, 11:22 AM

I'm so excited, don't let me down girls.

Posted by: Tinasha 11th December 2016, 11:58 AM

Use this thread to discuss the performance as it'll get a bit confusing with two songs.

Really looking forwards to this, I hope they're going all out.

Posted by: Tinasha 11th December 2016, 05:18 PM

7 minutes. Oops into Touch.

Posted by: Jonjo 11th December 2016, 05:23 PM

AHHHHH! Really pumped for this.

Im thinking 'Touch' into 'Oops' as opposed to the other way round. Would be awkward for Puth to just walk off half way through the performance laugh.gif

Or has that been confirmed! laugh.gif

7 minutes is actually longer than both songs time stamps on iTunes, which suggests they could be singing both in full. I don't want to get people's hopes up, but lets cross our fingers. smile.gif

Yes it's been confirmed. I don't think Touch into Oops would make any sense at all. Not only is it better to finish on a wow moment but they'd be all sweaty and breathy when it came to the slow song.

Very excited for this. I didn't really like SOTME so I'm going to listen to both in full for the first time tonight and hope I can re-stan.

they are 2 different songs, but I hope you like them x

Not going to lie - it was a bit flat.
They rocked the performance but there was something missing.

Posted by: Matt1989 11th December 2016, 10:05 PM

That was everything I expected and more!!

Posted by: shindymindy 11th December 2016, 10:06 PM

Hopefully they get a massive boost!

Posted by: Tinasha 11th December 2016, 10:12 PM

It was about an 8/10 for me. Some of the choreo was a bit flat and they needed a better backing track. Jade had some dodgy vocal moments.... but other than that they rocked it. I loved the breakdown!

Posted by: shindymindy 11th December 2016, 10:14 PM

Hopefully the GP liked it

'Oops' really is utterly horrendous isn't it?

I think they did the best they could with 'Touch'.

Posted by: Jonjo 11th December 2016, 10:16 PM

Enjoy it whilst it's still on Youtube! laugh.gif

I sort of unashamedly love 'Oops' now, but admittedly, it didn't come across great live.

I actually thought the girls themselves were fantastic on 'Touch' and the breakdown was awesome, but what was with the sound? It sucked the life out of the performance.

Posted by: Jonjo 11th December 2016, 10:23 PM

@Joe this is genuine, I'm not doing it as a blind stan. BUT where were Jade's dodgy vocals? laugh.gif I watched it focussing on her coz of your comment and I didn't hear her sound dodgy haha.

Posted by: Jonjo 11th December 2016, 10:25 PM

Oh and as for the general sound of the performance, I think XF finals ALWAYS have the same sort of sound problems. I just don't think they know how to work the sound properly in an arena haha!

Posted by: caseclosed 11th December 2016, 10:35 PM

Will need the video now, don't feel like rewatching this...

Glad I'm not the only one, Oops was brilliant but I felt like touch really missed something, it felt like the backing track was far too quiet. But they were still incredible. Bloody love them. The reaction online was phenomenal. wub.gif

the live performance just needed the instrumental to be a tad louder

In Touch on her ad libs! She sounded great in Oops!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 12th December 2016, 12:41 AM

I loved the oops performance and was my favourite by far of the two.

Posted by: Karl. 12th December 2016, 12:45 AM

It was amazing but the Black Magic / Love Me Like You mash up is still their best X Factor performance tongue.gif

Posted by: MrLoverboy 12th December 2016, 12:56 AM

Their best X-Factor performance is Sax/BM. LMLY/BM is cute, but it's only real moment is the theater bit and the 10seconds break down. On Sax they were giving me 4 Beyonce's and the song really helped too.

The sound needed to be louder and I think it would have sounded better if they didn't "sing" the chorus live. I wish they'd give it their all on choreo and completely ignore the chorus sort of like Beyonce does on her Crazy in Love performances.
