I wasn't huge on the last era overall so it's good that she's moving on but she just won't take a break, it hasn't even been a year since we first heard 'We Found Love'!

I'm pretty sure that the tour title is after the line in "We Found Love"... But that'd be a fine title anyway! I'm looking forward to new music from her, but only if the album is actually cohesive this time, unlike Talk That Talk which was a mess.

I couldn't agree more with 'Only Girl', it's always been horrifically overrated. I like it but it's nowhere near her best.
'We Found Love' on the other hand is my favourite Rihanna song to date easily. I don't think she'll ever top it for me now.

I was like Aly for AGES with WFL, I liked it but I couldn't believe it was being hailed at some sort of pop opus! It hit me later though, and my Rihanna top 5 would be something like:

I wonder if this will be dancey again like the last two lead singles? They seem to be her most popular tracks by and large.

"Only Girl (in the World)" never majorly clicked with me - I like it, but I think it was only that successful due to how long it'd been since we'd heard something like that from Rihanna. My top three (very different to everyone else's ):

Ugh. I do TRY to make a RiRi top 5 but I genuinely cannot complete it! It changes and I always forget one song or the other. It's ridiculous just how good her back catalogue is! The only thing I'm certain of is, 'Fire Bomb' is my favourite Rihanna song, bar none.

She has a brilliant back catalogue though, and I think 'Only Girl' would be in there too but I find some of her lead singles overplayed and unfortunately that was, however I can still appreciate how good it is. 'Rated R' was by far her best album.

I am a bit excited for this but not that much. She releases material so much I think I've kind of started taking her for granted where as if she took a break until next year I think I would be a lot more excited. I hope she's going to deliver the goods however, especially the album after TTT was a mess (but I still liked it.) Although releasing a lead single soon hopefully means she can keep up her (at least) #1 hit a year!

I actually don't really want a dance lead single - She makes great dance hits but she's done them to death now, it would be great if she tried something new or released a poppier hit, like Umbrella.

Anyway, band wagon ahoy! My top 5 changes all the time!

Probably electro-R&B (like Miss Independent, What's My Name?, etc.), as it's produced by Stargate, and Rihanna says it's happy and relaxing. If that's the case, it won't go to #1, but it'll be a good song I hope, which is better than getting a boring song which goes #1.

I always think it's stupid to rate a song that been out for a couple of hours, in comparison to songs that have been out for years.

I like that it's very different sounding. Her voice annoys me a bit in the chorus, I'm sure it will grow.

I'm not sure what I think of that! I'm so glad that she's not gone for another Calvin/sound-a-like song for the lead, and I think the risk will eventually pay off. She sounds a lot like Sia throughout (I'm guessing she's on backing vocals), not that that's a bad thing. A strong song and I think it will grow to be one of my favourites of hers.

Oh wow, it's amazing So different to what I expected but it's a lovely mix of Princess Of China and Russian Roulette, fab!

Right now I'd say:

01 We Found Love
02 Only Girl
03 Diamonds
04 Russian Roulette
05 SOS
06 Pon De Replay
07 Umbrella

All of them would be in my top 200 of all time so it's probably too early judge with Diamonds at all compared to the other ones but it feels like it's something really amazing that will hold in my affections.

It's decent, but nothing special - so I'm ultimately quite disappointed on the first 2 listens. Was obviously hoping for something more upbeat/clubby, which is what she does best for me.

It's GOOD. I'm obviously loving it, and it think it'll grow even more. It's definitely not as instant for me as the last few lead singles and probably (at this time) the weakest for me. All the other are pretty much all 10/10 moments for me.

It's good but it really doesn't feel like a #1 hit to me. I'm sure it'll do well as it's Rihanna but I think it might end up being a long-running top 3/5 hit instead. I like the chilled out sound of it, but it's more 'cool album track' material rather than lead single material.

I just noticed that Rihanna's new single is charting all over Europe on iTunes so had to check out this track. On first listen, I'm liking it (which is always a good start) and will no doubt continue growing over the course of the next few weeks.

Such a shame they're waiting until November to release this. They should just do 'We Found Love Pt 2' and get it released 4 weeks earlier than planned.

Playing it again and it's pretty lush actually. Doubt it'll grab my affections in the same way 'We Found Love' and 'Only Girl (In The World)' did, but still impressive already.

Hmm, I'd rather they waited until 7th October and released it on that Sunday instead. With One Direction out next week, Rihanna will be lucky to get anywhere near the no. 1 spot. That said, One Direction could tail off drastically after week 1 so Rihanna might climb to no. 1 and do another 'We Found Love' which would be amazement.

If this keeps new singles from JLS, The Wanted etc off no. 1 I will love Rihanna even more than I do already. I'd much rather see 'Diamonds' no. 1 in the UK for 3 weeks than 'Hottest Girl In The World' no. 1 then out of the top 40 after 3 weeks.

This is so damn good. I know it's a bit premature to rate this as her best leading single but I can easily tell this is leaps ahead of the others. I actually like her voice in this as well.

Well she can keep One Direction off number 1 next week, if not to silence all the arse kissers/people hyping them who think they have it sealed up with that dire 'One Thing That Makes Me Overwhelmed by Seeing You in the Sun' rehash. JLS however she can't because they do deserve it this time with 'Hottest Girl in the World' and I don't care how biased that sounds towards them.

I actually like the Rihanna new song, its a more mature sound but not sure how well it will go down with general public as her bigger hits seem to be more club orientated. I hope it keeps one direction off the top spot but PNY could also throw a spanner in the works.

Really liking it, although that said I historically prefer singles released later in her album campaigns. I don't care much for SOS or Pon De Replay, and find Only Girl and Umbrella decent, not amazing.

I hope it's the latter. I know music channels played the lyric video to Taylor Swift's We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together before the official video, so hopefully the current video for Diamonds is just temporary like you say. Although, they seem to have shoved bits of footage together better than any of the stupid videos Reggie Yates makes for the chart after 6pm!

Pretty much what I expected from the video, it fits the tone of the song perfectly, Rihanna looks great and I love all the differing shades of light they use throughout.

Seriously, this sort of video, this and Where Have You Been, are the videos I really want from her, was looking through her video catalogue on Youtube last night, it's really, really strong, but the best ones are the more serious/epic ones as opposed to S&M-like ones. This fits the latter easily.

I still adore this track.

Back in 2012 it was so bold for Rihanna to do a song like this as a lead but it worked! Very Sia like but I still think Rihanna adds something slightly different to the track as well. It’s her second best song ever for me I only prefer Umbrella but this one is very special as well. You can tell Ri loves this as well.
