Update above!

One Kiss is #6, Nice For What #16

Posted by: Jei-boy Jun 11 2018, 03:23 PM

Omg pull through Jessica!

Posted by: Lomadz Jun 11 2018, 03:24 PM

How is Lily Allen top 5?

Can Liam Payne sneak top 10?

Posted by: gavindeejay Jun 11 2018, 03:29 PM

Hope 'One Kiss' can get back into the Top 5. It looks abit wierd when a track that has been Number 1 so long has a sudden drop due to ACR.

Posted by: Hadji Jun 11 2018, 03:29 PM

Wish “Paradise” would stop dodging ACR

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Jun 11 2018, 03:30 PM

Such a fresh chart tongue.gif Hope Jonas & Jorja can stay in!

Posted by: Bjork Jun 11 2018, 03:36 PM

not a bad week for Jorja smith, top 3 album and top 40 single, guess she'll do 10-15K, which is not bad for a solo female

Posted by: Cqmerqn Jun 11 2018, 03:52 PM

Solo set for #1 then!

Posted by: timjimlee Jun 11 2018, 04:00 PM

It is indeed looking like a close call this week - Clean Bandit seem to have more momentum than Jess Glynne but she may just hold on.
If Solo had been reduced to 59p it would have been a shoo-in.

Posted by: Bjork Jun 11 2018, 04:03 PM

if clean bandit's label were smart, they'd reduce the price t0 59p and get an easy #1

Posted by: nettoron Jun 11 2018, 04:06 PM

Solo will be #1

Posted by: Jei-boy Jun 11 2018, 04:15 PM

Team Jess!

Posted by: George.keh Jun 11 2018, 04:18 PM

Rooting for Jess this week and hopefully either Clean Demi or George next week

Posted by: Bré Jun 11 2018, 04:20 PM

As long as Anne-Marie stays away I don't mind who's #1 this week. 'Solo' has grown on me a bit, I like that top 2 about the same amount now. Kinda still want Jess to snatch it just for her to extend her record for most #1s by a British female solo artist (even though the last two of them will have been entirely due to the arbitrary nature of ACR tongue.gif)

Interesting that we have a top 3 of Clean Bandit and two artists whose careers were effectively launched by Clean Bandit (I know 'Alarm' was before 'Rockabye' but she's got a lot bigger since then xx)

Posted by: Mart!n Jun 11 2018, 04:24 PM

Jess Glynne for that record cheer.gif

Surely Jess has got the #1 in the bag, Clean Bandit and Demi next week

Posted by: WhoOdyssey Jun 11 2018, 04:31 PM

I'd like to see Jess get the #1 this week, and extend her record lead!

Then I'd like to see George Ezra get it, but I would still be happy with Demi Bandit.

It’s an amazing album plus she had a signing - I’m pretty sure the twitter feud with Piers Morgan has helped send people to check it out.

Posted by: Bjork Jun 11 2018, 04:38 PM

right now I reckon they're doing very similarly, Solo is slightly ahead on Spotify and Jess slightly ahead on itunes
but on Fri-Sat Jess had a much clearer lead on itunes, so I think that will be enough to hold on, if they're even now

(unless someone tweets Demi she could claim her first UK #1 and she gets the label to drop the price or buys 5000 copies herself) biggrin.gif

Yeah, this please. Clean Bandit can snatch it next week.

Jess Glynne seems to be really good at cheating herself to #1 anyway, even before ACR we had 'My Love', 'No Letting Go' and 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself' which only went to #1 because of pre-orders (of course, 'Rather Be' and 'Hold My Hand' were helped by pre-orders too but they had multiple weeks at #1 and probably would have made it in the streaming era too).

Posted by: liamk97 Jun 11 2018, 04:42 PM

I can't remember the last time I hated a song that was a #1. There's been songs that I've been impartial to or would rather not listen to, but 'I'll Be There' is actively really bad.

Thankfully it's all rather close at the top at this stage.

Not denying it’s an amazing album, massive surprise to me! Can’t stand her but it’s my album of the year, just shocked it’s top 5.

Posted by: 777666jason Jun 11 2018, 04:47 PM

I love both the JG and CB tracks and really want both to go number 1 but as JG has had 6 number 1s and DL has had none I want solo to go number 1 just a teeny bit more but either way DL going to get her highest charting single

Amazing Lily Allen is top 5 at this early considering how badly this era has flopped so far hopefully she can go top 10 overall

It’s not really cheating though is it it’s more a case of benefitting from circumstances laugh.gif

Posted by: WhoOdyssey Jun 11 2018, 04:51 PM

Honestly, it's about time for Ezra to get his first #1.

They need to get him for the John Lewis Christmas ad this year...

Posted by: SevenSeize Jun 11 2018, 04:58 PM

ooh close for the #1, Solo would be the best option from the main contenders so i'd be cool with CB taking it, could manage a couple of weeks there until that Little Mix single [apparently] drops

Jorja doing good on the albums chart, the tracks are still holding up well on Spotify too. Thought Lily Allen might've managed a top 5 place but that looks unlikely

I find 'I'll Be There' is her weakest solo track.
Also if it wasn't for Ariana Grande at #5 we would have had a British Top 5 for a change, mind you we have Demi featuring with Clean Bandit. So I guess since Demi is featuring on someone else's track, Clean Bandit would get the top bill if that makes any sense.

Posted by: Jei-boy Jun 11 2018, 05:13 PM

I want Jess to get that #1 so so bad!!

Posted by: Robbie Jun 11 2018, 05:17 PM

It's so close this week in the top 3 that it could go any way. I have a feeling Jess may hold on but Clean Bandit will give their former featured singer a run for her money!

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever Jun 11 2018, 05:30 PM

I prefer the clean bandit song but also want jess to do it to have the record, this is my fave clean bandit track so far though so if it doesn't go number 1 this week,I hope it does it nxt week.

I hope steps can hold on in the top 20 with the live album and very happy to see Kylie on the rise,I hope she gets that 10th consecutivecweek top 40.

11 Liam Payne & J Balvin - Familiar

my boy will drop a lot due to spotify, sad

Posted by: BridgeCow Jun 11 2018, 05:54 PM

Really don’t like I’ll Be There, but it’d be nice for Jess to get another number 1, but rooting for Clean Bandit tbh wub.gif (although it feels weird since Clean Bandit can do much better than Solo)

Posted by: ElectroBoy Jun 11 2018, 06:03 PM

Going to be close especially as Spotify is going to favour Solo so the uplift for the missing data may benefit it enough to bridge the gap.

I’ll be there is shite so hopefully something can stop it

Anniversary edition released on multiple formats.

Posted by: ericinatlanta Jun 11 2018, 07:01 PM

Hoping Jess Glynne will hold on to #1 through out the week. It would be great to see M-22 featuring Medina hit the top 20 . I've been following Medina's music releases as a solo act through out Europe for the past few years Danish and English tracks are all good

Posted by: vibe Jun 11 2018, 07:04 PM

Time to stream Clean Bandit !!

Jess Glynn will have twenty number 1 hits at this rate .

Posted by: LeeWallace Jun 11 2018, 07:07 PM

If steaming is missing, solo will be #1 as they’re gaining more momentum on Spotify and iTunes!

G’won Clean bandit *.*

Posted by: SKOB Jun 11 2018, 07:36 PM

This midweek data doesn't tell half of what it will be on Friday, I'll wait for a couple of day to predict anything (except another week for TGS at #1)

Posted by: The Hit Parade Jun 11 2018, 07:54 PM

Yep, it's 21 years and four months since that Mansun album was first released. I suspect it would have been more honest to call it a "somebody else has bought the rights" reissue but that's hardly a marketing angle.

There are also a few old albums returning to the lower end of the chart because of the HMV vinyl sale (which Amazon are price-matching). Just in case anyone was wondering.

What I really want to know is, didn't NeYo used to be big enough to get his albums into the Top 90?

Posted by: Jüpiter Jun 11 2018, 08:09 PM

Good for Jorja getting that second top 40! Hope she hangs on. Is she getting radio support?

That seems a bit pointless as it's only going to attract a small amount of streams. I don't know why artists / labels release tracks late in the week when they aren't going to have a great deal of impact. Downloads don't sell that much these days to make up for lost streams due to the problems associated with getting Thursday streaming data in before the cut off point for the chart.

Pull through Jess! Solo can take it next week tongue.gif

How far down is Freaky Friday now?

Posted by: ElectroBoy Jun 13 2018, 05:12 PM

I still think Solo will get it in the end - especially as it's in front on spotify and with the whole thursday missing data etc which usually seems to help

Posted by: Tedward Jun 13 2018, 05:14 PM

It's gonna be very, very close. Overall I'd prefer Jess to get another #1, Solo is okay but nowhere near as good as some of Clean Bandit's other songs.

Im shocked Selena is only at #13 at this point. ohmy.gif

Posted by: Bjork Jun 13 2018, 05:21 PM

even with missing data, jess will remain, it's 300-400 sales max from the missing day of streams

Posted by: Bjork Jun 13 2018, 05:22 PM

I actually thought Selena would fight with Familiar for the #10 spot, so sales must be close around #10

Posted by: Jei-boy Jun 13 2018, 05:24 PM

Jess got this right? She spammed twitter recently with promo

Posted by: Hadji Jun 13 2018, 05:56 PM

Hope Jonas Blue can sneak into the top 30

Posted by: GTH Jun 13 2018, 05:58 PM

Really close with the top 4. First exciting chart battle in a while.

Posted by: Bré Jun 13 2018, 06:16 PM

I think Jess will be safe then if her lead is actually extending despite her being behind Clean Bandit on Spotify. Didn't realise how close 'Shotgun' was to the top as well though, that could be a serious threat to the #1 in the next few weeks as well ohmy.gif Tom Walker in the top 10 *.*

I wonder if the KIDS SEE GHOSTS album might be doing better if it had just been credited to 'Kanye West & Kid Cudi', not surprised that it's doing worse than 'ye' did but I would have thought it'd get at least a track or two into the top 40 (especially as, for what it's worth, it seems to be getting much better critical reception than 'ye').

We don't know we only have top 5 sales given from the MW report today.

Steps are holding stronger than i feared with their live album.
Touch and go if Kylie will remain top 40.
