My first listen thoughts:

Adrian Jørgensen - The Bubble (8/10) - pleasant enough melody, probably a grower and a likely qualifer at Eurovision

Anna-Lisa Kumoji - Holla (7.5/10) - Fun but doesn't really go anywhere much, not sure it would qualify for Norway

Carina Dahl - Hold Me Down (7/10) - A well produced but not particularly interesting ballad, borderline qualifier maybe?

Chris Medina - We Try - (8/10) didn't really expect an uptempo based on the song Chris is most famous for. It's pretty good and a likely qualifier with an ok to low finish in the final

D'Sound - Mr Unicorn (7/10) quite funky but didn't really provoke a lasting reaction in me, couldn't see it qualifying really

Erlend Bratland - Sing For You (8/10) big dramatic ballad, certainly very "Eurovision-y" in sound. Hardly a classic but it's catchy enough I could see it qualifying pretty easily and coming mid/lower table in the final

Hank von Hell - Fake It (5/10) rock, but it's not very good really, and I expect it would struggle to qualify at Eurovision

Ingrid Berg Mehus - Feel (9.5/10) A really lovely mid-tempo that goes into shimmering dance in the chorus, followed by a lovely violin breakdown. Well produced, well sung, catchy, contemporary, interesting and would be a very worthy entry for Norway and a potential top 10 in the final

KEiiNO - Spirit In The Sky (9/10) Also very catchy and the Sami influence really sets it apart from the crowd, I think it could stand out a lot and again could do pretty well at Eurovision

Mørland - En livredd mann (8.5/10) Nice, and very well produced - could see it qualifying for the final easily but I don't think it would do as well as A Monster Like Me

A good selection overall, but the last three songs are definitely the best for me, I 'd love to see Feel at Eurovision but would be happy with Spirit In The Sky too. I'd imagine it will be between Feel, En livredd mann, hopefully Spirit In The Sky and maybe Sing For You too.

There's already an English version of Mørland's song available on Spotify, called "If Music Could Save You", that I guess he might sing in Tel Aviv if he wins (and he's definitely one of the better choices even if it isn't as good as "A Monster Like Me").

"Spirit In The Sky" is easily my favourite and the one I'm drawn back to.

Feel is lush wub.gif I can see it growing and growing on me too, it's quite subtle but the violin bits are wonderful and the little production flourishes really pop more with each listen.

Spirit In The Sky is very Eurovision and giving the gays everything we want and need so I'm here for that if that were to win too but Feel is my top choice for sure!

Love both Feel and Spirit In The Sky! It's a shame both won't be able to go to Eurovision. On one listen each - Spirit In The Sky stands out much sooner and I'd worried Feel wouldn't do it on the night - although it does have the potential to become a fan favourite and build a hype train into the final - which might give it more attention on first listen than it'd normally get. Overall I think I'd be more gutted if Spirit In The Sky never made it so that's my ideal winner.

As has been said, 'Feel' and 'Spirit In The Sky' are the two best here. I hate instrumentals, but I think 'Feel' might've been better to use more of it, sort of a modern day 'Nocturne' if you will.

Disappointed on the first listen of Mørland and Carina Dahl's songs. I quite liked 'Mr Unicorn' as well, but probably best left behind in MGP.

‘Feel” is defo my pick out of that lot. It’s great - the icy production makes it feel very Norwegian too.

‘Spirit In The Sky” is far too tacky.

Had my first listen through today *hide*

LOVE *.*
KEiiNO - Spirit In The Sky

Amazing
Chris Medina - We Try

Great!
Ingrid Berg Mehus - Feel
Adrian Jørgensen - The Bubble

Good
Carina Dahl - Hold Me Down
Mørland - En livredd mann
Anna-Lisa Kumoji - Holla
Hank von Hell - Fake It

Decent
D'Sound - Mr Unicorn
Erlend Bratland - Sing For You

Amazing quality this year, well done NRK! KEiiNO as a clear favourite for me at the moment. Very refreshing with an uptempo song from Chris Medina, and I love the beat. Ingrid and Adrian both have a growing potential with me. Anne-Lise and Carina also have some potential, but they need to pull off a good show on stage.

I'm honestly torn whether I want KEiiNO or Ingrid to qualify. If Norway f**ks this up and doesn't choose one of those I'll be so mad. Much better than anything we have here in Iceland and even Melodifestivalen surprisingly.

Spirit in the Sky has to win and I'm 95% sure it will but this season has been a bit messy so far so who knows - as long as there are no wiwiblog jurors we should be fine?!

Feel over Spirit In The Sky for me but both would be so welcome in Tel Aviv amongst what we have so far!

okay I’m gonna take a listen and see which gf these will anger me the most if they got sent bc that seems to be the narrative for this year’s Eurovision season

Adrian Jørgensen - The Bubble: this is basically an Ed sheeran song
Anna-Lisa Kumoji - Holla: I feel like this would be so much better if it had more oomph
Carina Dahl - Hold Me Down: This is decent enough, but it has the potential to do so much more
Chris Medina - We Try: HELL YES
D'Sound - Mr Unicorn: WOW. Part of me is scared that this is going to do an Eye Cue but it’s fantastic.
Erlend Bratland - Sing For You: Pretty much knew how this was gonna sound within the first two seconds
Hank von Hell - Fake It: This is what you think of when people talk about millennials going through their “rock is real music” phase
Ingrid Berg Mehus - Feel: A LONG LOST LINDSEY STIRLING DREAMPOP PROJECT *.* I approve
KEiiNO - Spirit In The Sky: HELL YES [2]
Mørland - En livredd mann: once again, the build up is promising but I’m left wanting much more

I was not expecting this to be so good. Norway trying to redeem themselves after Rybak 2018? It’s more likely than you think.
