Kylie Minogue is set to perform headline shows at two historic palaces in the UK next summer.

The Australian singer, 50, will play two concerts at Hampton Court Palace Festival in June, before going on to perform at the closing night of the Nocturne Live concert series at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

The Hampton Court shows take place on June 20 and 21 and Minogue will be performing in Base Court, one of the Tudor courtyards in the palace.

Stephen Flint Wood of IMG said: "Kylie will be making her debut at the festival and have no doubt her shows will be truly special with a star of her magnitude performing in the idyllic setting of Hampton Court Palace.

"Further announcements of world-class musical talent will be announced in the coming weeks."

The singer will then play at the closing night of Blenheim Palace's annual series of Nocturne Live summer concerts on June 23.

The star will perform hits from her back catalogue, as well as music from her latest album, 2018's country-tinged Golden.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has been announced as the support act.

"She's an incredible performer with an unbelievable back catalogue to draw upon and her live shows are always spectacular.

"We're thrilled to have confirmed her for the closing night of next year's series and look forward to more exciting announcements over the coming months."

Tickets for Minogue's shows at Hampton Court Palace Festival go on sale on November 16 at 9am at hamptoncourtpalacefestival.com

Tickets for the Blenheim Palace show start at £45 and go on general sale on November 16 from nocturnelive.com

Kylie AND Sophie?

Literally my two faves. I am about to explode!!

Posted by: SmileyKylie 12th November 2018, 04:06 AM

That's already two big concerts near Glastonbury. I hope she rests her voice and doesn't get a throat infection .

Don't do too much!!

Posted by: Calum 12th November 2018, 09:10 AM

From Instagram:

Never imagined she'd come to Edinburgh. ohmy.gif Will definitely try and go, whatever this ends up being.

Posted by: Mullo 12th November 2018, 09:30 AM

She has added a few other dates in the summer too. Manchester, Edinburgh, Scarborough, & St. Austell

Posted by: Jay ☆ 12th November 2018, 10:47 AM

I’m thinking that this’ll be in support of a Greatest Hits! Exciting *.*

Posted by: liamk97 12th November 2018, 10:55 AM

Omg she's doing Scarborough!!

Posted by: SmileyKylie 12th November 2018, 11:31 AM

+ Glastonbury weekend is free in her diary also ...... wink wink...... almost a certainty now i think

Posted by: liamk97 12th November 2018, 12:04 PM

I've altered the title of the thread to accommodate for all the new dates. Separated from the Golden Tour thread as I feel these shows are going to be slightly different - they're billed as "Kylie Presents Golden" on her Facebook Events page but I think it'll be a slightly altered setlist, similar to her mini Summer 2015 tour.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 12th November 2018, 02:44 PM

Its the perfect time to release an updated and strong greatest hits as I think it could sell well for kylie plus it's an album that will continue selling.

Posted by: liamk97 12th November 2018, 09:39 PM

Yes the rumours of a Greatest Hits album definitely seem to be coming together now that we've got these dates along with the pretty much all but confirmed Glasto Legends spot. I just hope it's a collection that will be appealing to the die hard fans too. Definitely think that doing something like a 1 disc, 2 disc and 3 disc version would be good.

I'm so tempted to get tickets for Scarborough! I went to see Britney there with a friend in August; she wasn't like a proper fan of Britney but liked her and loved the concert, so I think she'd be up for this too, even though she's probably less familiar with Kylie than Britney.

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 12th November 2018, 11:30 PM

A 1 CD best of would be hard to get right but could have good general appeal if the right tracks are selected. A 2cd set would cover alot for casual fans and 3 CD set for the diehards. If it went that way I'd like them all to have different cover sleeves too.
Overall a double CD is probably the best way to go,possibly have a limited edition release,CD, cassette and vinyl.

Posted by: liamk97 12th November 2018, 11:48 PM

Yeah I agree with the different album covers idea. The 1, 2, 3 disc idea came to me from David Bowie's Nothing Has Changed compilation and that used different artworks too.

You can find the covers and the various tracking lists https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nothing_Has_Changed - you'll see triple disc covers much more obscure Bowie songs and I think it would be great if we could have the lesser known Kylie songs in amongst the hits and classics.

Posted by: ___∆___ 12th November 2018, 11:50 PM

Can’t believe she’s giving us a full summer tour! Will definitely be going to both Hampton Court shows - will be a great place to see her live! Interesting it’s just named ‘Kylie’.... definitely think this will be in support of a GH.

And with all these shows and releases she’s seriously topping up her pension fund atm kink.gif

Posted by: Feel_The_Fever 13th November 2018, 12:06 AM

I think kylie is going full guns this year and next with the intention of completely slowing down after. For a greatest hits CD a 2cd and a third disc of the best of b sides/ rarities would be brill in addition to the single CD release.

Posted by: liamk97 13th November 2018, 11:02 AM

Another date announced:

6th July - Cruïlla Festival, Barcelona

Posted by: SmileyKylie 13th November 2018, 12:38 PM

i just hope she doesnt do too much and gets a throat infection etc before Glastonbury etc!!!!

Posted by: pippa 13th November 2018, 02:41 PM

This most likely is one of her last chances to fulfill a dream of hers and and perform at Glastonbury so i am sure she will take all the steps she can to look after herself and be ready.

Posted by: ___∆___ 15th November 2018, 09:16 PM

Lots of rumours that Kylie is the headline act for Brighton Pride 2019 (Britney done it last year) - Brighton Pride have said it’s all just rumours and an announcement will be made early next year.

Posted by: liamk97 15th November 2018, 09:42 PM

So tickets go on sale tomorrow! Anyone planning on getting tickets for any of the events? I'm going to try for standing at Scarborough, although getting them for Britney was so tense! Hopefully the fact Britney hadn't been to the UK in how many years and Kylie's already been on tour here will mean that getting tickets won't be quite as hectic!

Posted by: ___∆___ 15th November 2018, 11:47 PM

I already got tickets to both Hampton Court shows in today’s pre-sale - got them in about 2 minutes so whilst I think the shows will sell out I do think they will be easier to get for those wanting them tomorrow.

Posted by: ___∆___ 16th November 2018, 08:44 AM

New date added for 28th June - Rock Werchter Festival

Posted by: Calum 16th November 2018, 09:17 AM

Managed to get floor seats for the Edinburgh Castle date! Excited wub.gif

Posted by: liamk97 16th November 2018, 10:01 AM

Did try to get two tickets for Scarborough but can't afford at the moment. I'll just keep an eye out for new UK dates should we get them.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 16th November 2018, 10:14 AM

Missed out on all.... no hampton left.

2nd date in Edinburgh added

Posted by: SmileyKylie 16th November 2018, 10:15 AM

Bit silly to do a gig on 28th June and then have to do Glasto on 30th June..... if she gets sick........

Kylie Minogue has been added to the already stellar line-up for Open’Er Festival 2019.

The celebrated Polish festival returns to Gdynia once more from Wednesday July 3 to Saturday July 6, and it’s already boasting one of the strongest line-ups of the summer.

They have already confirmed appearances from the likes of Vampire Weekend, The 1975, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Swedish House Mafia, G-Eazy, Jorja Smith, Kamasi Washington, Rosalia, IDLES and many more.

Now, pop icon Kylie Minogue has been announced as a headliner for the event, performing on July 5 a week after she fills the Sunday Legends Slot at Glastonbury 2019.

She seems to be really going for it this year and getting behind making the GH a success with all these shows - will be interesting to see how long we wait for a follow up to Golden or if she’s going to take a decent break after the GH?

Posted by: Medellíam 19th June 2019, 01:50 PM

The summer shows are upon us! cheer.gif Who's going to any of the dates?

Posted by: pippa 19th June 2019, 07:00 PM

The time has almost arrived, those few months passed quickly.
Unfortunately, i am unable to go to any of the shows but i look forward to the televised performances.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 20th June 2019, 11:52 AM

One of my really good friends is going to tonight's show, they're not really a fan like I am and they've never seen her live before. Interested to see how they perceive it!

Set list for last night:

Act 1
Love at First Sight
I Should Be So Lucky
On a Night Like This
Get Outta My Way
What Do I Have to Do?
Never Too Late

Act 2
Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi
Hand on Your Heart
In Your Eyes
The One

Act 3
Slow
Confide In Me
Kids
Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Act 4
Especially for You
Shocked
Step Back in Time
Better the Devil You Know
The Loco-Motion
All the Lovers

Encore
Spinning Around
Dancing

Setlist.fm says it's the first time 'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi' has been performed in full since 2005 and the first time for 'Shocked' since 2009.

I believe 'Slow' was mashed with David Bowie's 'Fashion'. First Fleetwood Mac, now Bowie - girl has taste!

Loving the new 'Slow'!

Posted by: pippa 21st June 2019, 01:52 PM

It is a strong set list and no surprise like many here predicted, Kids is once again getting performed.
I would however, swap Spinning Around and All The Lovers as All The Lovers and Dancing would be an amazing close to the show.
The opening songs are very strong and will ensure the crowd get right into the thick of the action of enjoyment.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 23rd June 2019, 06:59 PM

The setlist is kind of predictable and I dare say unexciting, although I'll still greatly enjoy it regardless.

Posted by: ___∆___ 24th June 2019, 08:49 PM

The set list is exactly what I expected it to be I guess - Greatest Hits. So pleased she is performing JNSP for the first time in 10+ years!

Good quality version of the 'Slow'/'Fashion' mashup:

So good! I feel like this leading into the Chemical Brothers mix would be lit heart.gif

Thoughts - 1) @kylieminogue is lovely, 2) we both think my phone case is funny (we’re laughing as it looks like a game boy), 3) if you stand next to one of the most gorgeous and glamorous women on the planet then at least put your shoes on, 4) @lythamfestival was really fun, 5) it was also very windy on stage so apologies to the front rows for seeing more of me than you might have desired, 6) I should get my own doormat too 💛💛💛

Love that caption!

Absolutely love this performance was my favourite at Glastonbury. The addition of David Bowie makes it so much more fresh!

My two faves in one picture, I can't handle it.

I need a collab to happen, that would be a dream come true for me.

Posted by: Medellíam 13th July 2019, 12:18 PM

Never thought about it before but a collaboration could be fantastic!

Sophie should have been brought out to sing 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' with Kylie if we're to believe it was offered to her first.

Posted by: pippa 15th July 2019, 08:56 PM

If Sophie performed CGYOOMY which Sophie song would you like Kylie to perform?

I'm liking the more poppy instrumental for 'Dancing' that's used in this clip! Also, as ever, it seemed Kylie had such a good time performing in Edinburgh the past couple of nights.

I think Kylie would probably suit most of Sophie's songs as they have similar pop sound and have worked with similar people. If Sophie covered Kylie's biggest hit it would be nice to see Kylie do 'Groovejet' or 'Murder on the Dancefloor'.

I've just had a re-listen to 'Catch You' as it was written and produced by Greg Kurstin (Cathy Dennis also sharing a writing credit) who we know worked for Kylie and the instrumental sounds very similar to 'Fall For You' from the X sessions. Both are from the same year so I wonder if Greg just altered it for Sophie after it wasn't used for Kylie?

I love it! Almost makes me wish they had released a studio version to promote the GH rather than a remix of SBIT.

Some more performances:

I agree about getting studio versions of some of these new mixes! I too would rather that over the Step Back in Time remixes which didn't really do it for me.

For the Slow performance, I really get that Bridgette Bardot vibe from her.

Also LOVE the New York City/Love At First Sight mashup!
