Kylie Minogue's Top 10 most popular non-singles revealed
30 April 2019 | By Jack White Which tracks should have been given a full UK single release? We find out. It looks like Kylie Minogue has got something up her sleeve. The pop princess' website features a huge countdown clock, ticking down to Friday (May 3). The Australian artist is also a guest on The Graham Norton Show on the same day, so it looks like a major announcement is looming. While we wait to see what Ms Minogue has in store, we're going to whet your appetites by revealing Kylie's biggest non-singles for the first time. Which album tracks that didn't get the single treatment in the UK have you downloaded and streamed the most? Let us Step Back In Time. Your Disco Needs You We're kicking off with a fan favourite that Kylie never released in the UK. Despite being given a single release in her native Australia and Germany, this Robbie Williams co-write from the Light Years album never saw the light of day on our shores. Despite that, it does have a music video, and Kylie has performed it on numerous tours over the years. One of the prime examples of Kylie's signature disco-pop sound, Your Disco Needs You has been downloaded 20,000 times and has received 1.07 million streams. Love Affair Kylie's Fever era was perhaps her most successful, spawning a Number 1 album that produced four Top 10 singles, and a million-seller. With that in mind, Love Affair had some serious competition to be promoted to single status - perhaps it was in an another timeline and surpassed the Number 8 peak of Come Into My World. Love Affair is Kylie's second biggest non-single and shifted 16,400 digital downloads. Raining Glitter An instant-grat track for Kylie's most recent album campaign, Raining Glitter is the most popular song which is not one of the five singles from the Number 1 record Golden. While Sincerely Yours is the most streamed song from Golden, Raining Glitter has over 1,000 more digital downloads and boasts 1.2 million streams of its own. Also in the Top 10 is Beautiful, Kylie's collaboration with Enrique Iglesias which was released only as a promotional single in Australia. I remember last year the OCC revealed 'Love Affair' was Kylie's best selling album track (obviously they weren't counting 'Your Disco Needs You' at this point) and it still surprises me. I'd have placed all the other tracks in the Top 10 above it. It's a great track and I'm pleased there's clearly love for it, but it's not a track I actually hear people talk about.
It's not clear whether the list is sales-only or sales and streams combined, but I'm assuming it's sales only. These album tracks appeared in Kylie's most streamed songs list last year and I would assume most, if not all, place higher than 'Love Affair' when combined, considering 'Love Affair' only has 500k worldwide streams and we know everything from 'Your Disco Needs You' up has over 1m UK streams. 24 IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR KYLIE MINOGUE 26 WINTER WONDERLAND KYLIE MINOGUE 27 SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN KYLIE MINOGUE FT FRANK SINATRA 28 BEAUTIFUL KYLIE MINOGUE/ENRIQUE IGLESIAS 31 CHRISTMAS WRAPPING KYLIE MINOGUE & IGGY POP 33 YOUR DISCO NEEDS YOU KYLIE MINOGUE 37 I'M GONNA BE WARM THIS WINTER KYLIE MINOGUE |

'Love Affair' always seemed random to me. I know fans regard it as being one of the best tracks on Fever, but in general terms it's sort of low down on the tracklisting and there are many other album tracks in her discography I thought would place higher for individual sales. It surprises me that it's outperformed Fever's title track for instance.
I'm glad for it though, it's a spectacular track. |

So much love for ‘Love Affair’ and pleased to see the Top 10 not totally dominated by Christmas songs. Also love that ‘Beautiful’ is so high up

The OCC seem to have been posting best selling albums lists for artists recently so I'm hopeful that we'll get one for Kylie. A great deal of the album sales I have rely on estimates or really out of date figures. Even just knowing I have the order right would be helpful.

^^ Would love up to date album sales especially as at different points in her career there have been spikes of interest in her back catalogue which could have contributed some solid trickle sales.

I don't think the trickle sales will that much (from June 2009 to June 2017, Fever sold 22k; from June 2009 to June 2018, Light Years sold 12k) but it would just look so much better having figures dated to 2019 rather than 2009 or, like I say, actually have official numbers for some albums (Rhythm of Love and Let's Get to It have had official totals revealed - those estimates on the first page could be way off the mark for all I know). Then there's albums like Aphrodite where the last estimate I have is from when it had just left the chart.

^ Would love to know the actual UK sales for ‘Impossible Pribcess’ - it has a sales estimate of 61,000 but has never receive a certification for silver for BPI. Such an iconic album - would love to see it actually get a sales award.

Good to see it certified but it deserved more but unfortunately there wasnt much interest in kylie at the time and many thought she was finished. At that time, I never expected the huge decade that was to come.
