Anyone been watching this? It's rather good. Feels more like it should just be a film but I'm enjoying it for what it is.

I watched 3 episodes but kinda stopped for now. It is good indeed.

Ah. Why did you stop watching? I'm into the Sixth episode now and it just gets better.

It happens all the time with like 90% of the shows I watch. I ain't giving up. The only show I gave up completely on is Glee biggrin.gif

Its just bonkers but in a fun watchable kind of way!

I didnt see last nights episode but i assume normal life in NYC is a bit dfiferent as the monsters come up from the sewers?!

I've been watching this, but I still have to watch last night's episode, as I watched How To Get Away With Murder on Universal which was rather good it exceeded my expectations.

I've watched the whole series.

It's really good, but often struggles with it's pacing. There are some real high points to the show towards the end, but overall the pacing is just lackluster. Characters disappear for 4/5 episodes then you're expected to remember who they are an their significance. The kid actor is so bad it's unreal.

Yeh that comes with stretching out the books into 13 episodes instead of just a long movie. Saw this weeks episode there and no NYC still seems to not realise whats going on lol!

All of my friends have dropped The Strain. Not gonna touch it, sorry.

Easily one of the best new shows in a long ass time.

Pretty scary episode of this tonight!

This is fast becoming one of my favourite new TV shows, Weds episode was so good, pity Sean Astin didn't last to the end of the series, didn't see that coming. I might have to read the books.

It's so bonkers but I love it!

Anyone watching the new series?

I watched Season 1 but by the last episode I was sort of over it. I didn't realize it was back for Season 2 until about a week ago and I watched the first two episodes but I found it boring so I've given up on it. I really don't like any of the characters.

Posted by: Rooney 5th September 2015, 05:40 PM

I'm watching the new series 2, it's good fun. Not one to be taken that seriously as it's bonkers. Those kid zombies are nuts.

Posted by: Mart!n 5th September 2015, 06:26 PM

I'm watching the new series, but I haven't got round to episode 2 yet, probably some time over the weekend.

Posted by: steve201 5th September 2015, 09:12 PM

I like all the history and comparisons with the nazis!

Posted by: jase. 5th September 2015, 11:01 PM

Liked the first season but could only manage the first 5 episodes of the second season. Boring doesn't even cover it

Posted by: steve201 6th November 2015, 12:44 AM

Wow this weeks episode of this was really scary and not in the normal silly horror we usually get with the Strain but it was more like Saw the way Dutch was being chased by Eichorst, disturbing!

Posted by: Steve201 28th August 2017, 05:07 PM

Anyone know when this starts in the uk again?

Posted by: Steve201 8th September 2017, 07:07 PM

Seems W has dropped the series and it hasn't been picked up by any channel yet 🙁

Posted by: Mart!n 8th September 2017, 07:35 PM

It probably end up on Netflix, Gotham is on Netflix now, unable to watch anything on there.

Posted by: Steve201 8th September 2017, 08:04 PM

Looking forward to the new series seen the trailer which is shocking!!

Posted by: Severin 25th September 2017, 06:36 PM

I thought season one of this was excellent but each season has got increasingly less interesting and the final one does finish it off satisfactorily even if that's not particularly imaginative. Had season 4 not been the last I might've lost interest

Posted by: Steve201 26th September 2017, 11:50 PM

The first season was always the most interesting as the varius spread!

Posted by: Rooney 1st October 2017, 03:18 PM

Season 1 was definitely the best. I have seen all of Season 4 and for me it is definitely the best series of the show after Season 1. It moves at a much quicker pace, though there are still a couple of sub-plots that absolutely no sense. Definitely stick with it, I think it gives a good pay-off, but I do agree Season 3 was a real slog at times.
