From what I've seen in elections like GA06 the dems have increased their share of the vote vs the republicans so I'm not sure I buy into the same doom and gloom mantra that y'all have. That could be influenced granted by my Twitter timeline very much being democrat.

At the state level I believe the democrats have flipped some seats in firmly red/trump voting areas, which would suggest at the local level the swing is beginning to build. Will be interesting to see how the next 12 months play in the run up to the mid-terms
I think to be fair that state would elect literally anything that ran under a republican ticket. Possum, satan, cadaver, Michael from Buzzjack, pile of leaves etc.

I am better than Brett Baker, who is too Elite to connrct to the people. I am not and actually have my rar to the ground smile.gif

Warren is he only other major Democrat to poll under Trump. Sorry. Bernie consistently beats him and nearly beat Hillary when she had the biggest headstart in HISTORY. He appeals to both democrats and iindependents and WON THE STATES THE DEMOCRATS NEED TO WIN IN THE PRIMARIES.

Bernie Sanders will be 80 years old when the 2020 election happens. Just a thought, but maybe someone a bit younger than him would have more of a chance of beating Donald.

Bernie is 20 points up on the Orange Turd just like last time.

Hillary was always flirting around the red vs the Turd.

Okay, I'll bite. Explain to me, using evidence and well researched sources, exactly how I am in any way one of the "Elite", and then explain to me how much of "Elite" is too much elite.

Unless of course, you are attempting to address this "Brett Baker" fellow, who I don't believe has an account on Buzzjack, so presumably must be a lurker.

Usually you just delete posts criticising you and run away.

This. Thi is exactly why you are the Elite. You tewat every forum post like a university essay, correcting everyone and believing yourself to be superior.

You do not have your ear to the ground, stick to the liberalism, corporate line of centrist policies and back the blandest of the beige centrists. You are the Elite. You are not connected to the people.

I delete personal attacks on any member of Buzzjack within this forum, not just yours. I expect a certain level of decorum within this board.

I do not "correct everyone". I usually prefer to let the conversations flow naturally within this forum, and usually tend to only interject for context, or more information that may enlighten everyone.

As to "believing myself to be superior", I am amazed that you have developed some technology that allows you to read people's minds over the internet and know exactly what they are thinking. You should go to Google & MI5 and see if they'll develop it for you, as at the moment it appears to be rather faulty.

I am rather miffed as to why you consider me a "liberal", as I have specifically stated on many occasions that I do not identify as one (I don't really identify as a conservative either, but that's another kettle of worms). And if you could give me an example of the "beige centrists" that I have personally backed, please point them out to me.

Thank you for the "constructive" criticism.

There is a good chance that the Democrat candidate in 2020 will be someone we've never heard of.

That seems the best option for the Democrats, none of the party mainstays seem like viable candidates for 2020. After all, who would have thought than a 1-term senator would end up being nominated in 2008?

Obama was mentioned as a potential candidate after a great speech at the 2004 convention so he didn't come completely out of nowhere.

You LITERALLY just proved my poiny, correcting typos from posting on a phone like a university essay, as if no one else has gone to uni. Elite. Also, talking about enlightening people from your interjections again shows how out of step you are and how you think you are superior.

Sorry, I meant neoliberal.

Cameron. Miliband. Clinton. Warren. Biden.

Centrist Labour. Centrist Tories.

Need I go on?

Tou are out of touch.

I have never said that I have supported any of these figures (and supporting Cameron & Miliband simultaneously? Really?). Please check your facts before posting here.

Sigh, not supporting Corbyn ≠ supporting those other people you mentioned. And last time I checked, Corbyn didn't win.

Just to throw an idea unto the discussion - if one is able to criticise anyone from any political background, when they deserve it, then one has the moral highground by virtue of not being an acolyte - as in an unwavering belief in the infallibility of another human being. Never come across a perfect politician the only difference between them is the degree of imperfection. Some are more imperfect than others. Corbyn is more imperfect than miliband, say, but less than May.
Sanders is less imperfect than trump (along with 90% of the people on the planet) but arguably more imperfect than Obama.

Point being. Sticking people into categories like "elite" is no different from categorizing people as commies or fascists fir anyone who isn't quite at opposite ends of the political spectrum. The elite to me are the rich and powerful. That includes Sanders Clinton trump and any powerful organisations. They don't all agree on what is best for the non powerful but some are more well intentioned than others.
