We'll see. If you're right that would be good but they're going to have to be very careful about what they put forward for a vote, equally, as well as being afraid, each backbencher will have quite a bit of power in their hands should they choose to use it, and I don't think beyond the short-term that there's going to be unwavering loyalty to May, they'll surely not want her to fight the next election so as the halfway point approaches would be the absolute limit on her premiership I'd say, and the appointing of a replacement itself would cause some instability. However if she goes peacefully and a well-liked replacement comes in to hold it together, I'd say it has a better chance. Oh I think May herself is completely toast, but the party as a whole has proven to be fantastic at reinventing itself in recent years and rallying around a new leader will be on everyone's minds. Pay attention to their party conference in four months' time! (I woke up at this time and it's a Saturday. Help) |

I voted 6-11 months, this is a hugely weakened government that will likely struggle to do much at all. I predict another election in May 2018.

I can feasibly see another one in Autumn with a new Tory leader. It's very conceivable to imagine the government losing the confidence of Parliament and the buck falling to Labour to attempt to form a government and failing to form a strong enough coalition, leading to an election. If a government survives, it will probably be in 2020 as the negotiation period comes to an end in order to gain a mandate for the post-EU period.
