Chart Analysis
MIKA earns his first chart-topper with Bella D'Estate. It's the 2nd #1 to feature Italian lyrics after La vita nuova, but the first to be entirely in that language. Carly Rae Jepsen holds strong at #2, and is joined in the top 5 by climbers Heather, Rapture, and Peach. Rapture manages the 2nd-largest upward movement ever in my chart, thanks to the release of Declan's new album Zeros, which charts today in its entirety. At #10, Kiesza scores a first top 10, and a number of acts score their first top 40 such as Steps, Foxes, and New Order. Next week should be a battle between the reigning #1 from MIKA, a rising top 5 from Declan McKenna, or the new entry from Carly Rae Jepsen which has landed at #18 already following 2 days of streams.

Hooray, a fellow Declan album bomb Rapture, Twice Your Size, Saggitarius A*, Emily and Eventually Darling are all tunes.

I gave the Steps song a listen last night, it did sound very Steps-y It is quite a decent song though, just a shame they released it on a Wednesday.

And the New Order song is pretty good as well! Looking forward to some more music from them (if they are indeed releasing any)

Nice to see "Bella D'Estate" at the top, I also like how much impact Declan McKenna has made in your chart, not surprising, I like his album a lot too! Maybe next week, he'll have an album bomb in my chart!
I also like the debuts for "OMG What's Happening", "Friends In The Corner" and "Be A Rebel"!

Always great to see another Declan fan Rapture and Twice Your Size are definitely favourites of mine right now.
Steps-y is the best way to describe it! You're right it's a shame about the midweek release as I'm sure a Friday release could've at least got it to chart somewhere low down.
Glad you like the New Order song too! Hopefully we'll get some more from them at some point.
