She came 2nd on The X Factor 2018.
Whether or not Simon signs her (he probably will), it’s highly likely that we get new music from her.

He has to sign her plus with the material she has she could have a strong debut album out soon,I love all her own songs and would buy her album asap.

Yep totally agree. Was backing her for the win rather than Rak Su. She'll easily be signed and have a Ella Henderson type album soon.

Grace Davies has to be in with a real shot of achieving similar success to Ella Henderson or greater. I really feel its crucial she gets signed quickly (I would be sincerely shocked if Syco don't sign her) and gets a single out quickly to capitalise on her X Factor success. Any of the original songs she performed would be good single choices but i would have a preference for Too Young to be her debut. I assume Grace has many more songs lined up and ready for recording which ideally would see no delays in her getting her first album out.
I remain hopeful she can carry the tradition from many series of the show where the runners up end up having the better career.

She had no chance vs the teenage girl brigade when there was a good looking male band with alright songs/ voices.
I hope she signs with someone OTHER than Syco.

While i wanted Grace to win, i knew Rak Su had it and i believe Grace knew the same. I can totally see the appeal of Rak Su and why their songs are popular. However, i felt Grace had much stronger songs. Rak Su done nothing for me. This is the first time in quiet some time X Factor looks like they could produce 2 very successful acts from the show. X Factor really needs this as i strongly feel it has had an affect on the show having winners who disappear quicker than the live shows.

I think she's got real potential. Both of my parents liked the clips from the show when we played them at christmas and it's very rare indeed that an artist is liked by myself, Mr D*, Mama D* and Papa D*

She's confirmed Roots is on the album 
Still no news of when it's coming though! Syco are just abysmal. She's got so much potential but she'll have 0 momentum by the time we get anything! Then again, Ella Henderson took about 2 years to come out with Ghost and that went amazingly.

They really should've rush released a studio version of Roots a few months after X Factor finished, but of course they've done nothing with her all year, classic SyCo move :')

I too was onky thinking if he during last weeks x factor, I thought her album would be out now as even with the new songs she did in the show was half an album as all her originals were great.

I think that's what I struggled with, she pretty much had most of an album just with the songs she performed during the show so why on earth is everything taking so long!

Exactly! I know she probably didn't want to release just all of those and wanted to take the opportunity with producers and songwriters the show could put her into contact with, but given she had foundations and songs that clearly meant a lot to her, you think they could have at least had a single or two out by now while she made some new songs to go along with the old ones on her album.

For me grace is far more talented than Louisa and I wouldn't have any interest in an album by Louisa where I would buy Grace's straight away.

Too Young was gorgeous, and was the standout performance on last years show.
Grace, deserves success based on the quality of the songs she delivered last year.

I'm intrigued to see what she delivers. She's the only X-Factor contestant I've been invested in - well aside from Little Mix obviously.
I wonder if it will all be new material? She did have some things with real potential on the show so I hope some of them made the cut.

She was just live on insta, she said that a new single is coming in a FEW WEEKS!! and shes recording the music video and single art very soon. And we can expect an EP to follow that. Very excited, so soon!

They have left this too long as all the momentum is gone.
Grace had the material for an album when she appeared on X Factor and all her original performances of her own songs were strong enough tracks for an album.
I would have greatly welcomed studio versions of the original songs she performed.

We still haven’t had a Louisa album yet.
I can’t see this doing much tbh. It should’ve come out at least a year ago. She probably had enough material to record an album with and using some of the songs already performed on the show would’ve only helped her but now there’ll be next to no interest. Unless Grace is doing the X Factor all stars series. But for her to release an album in Q4 would be disastrous it probably wouldn’t even go top 20.

It is strange that Syco didn't just rush-release an album full of songs she'd performed already on the show, and tacked a few on the end that we hadn't heard. They'd have done that in years gone by.

I hate EPs! It'll underperform and end up cancelling the album release.
Is she competing in XF All Stars or something? Is that what they are waiting for...

Are they waiting for the X Factor association to completely fade before releasing? I just don't get it. They gave the Sweaty Foreheads enough time and it became obvious they were the wrong winners anyway.

Why there has been such a huge delay in her releasing material is a complete mystery.
All her original songs she performed were wonderful and all could have made it as singles.
I hope Grace can achieve some success as she holds great talent.

In the past rushed releases were the norm with X Factor with most of the runner ups getting quick releases.
Grace, one of the most talented runner ups, with strong original material ready to release, experiences huge delays in releasing which could be totally avoided.

This is a nice song and the last minute or so is gorgeous, but... did she really go and make this her debut single? Such a step down from the material she already had...

It's one of those scenarios where she's left it SO long she needed something proper killer, and this is just... nice I guess? Similar to Ella's second album or whatever she's doing with this "era", it's nice but you build up such expectations taking that long and when it's only "nice" it ends up being kind of a let down.

100% - Ella got it so right with Ghost though despite that taking a couple of years. I guess she was in a slightly better position with XF/Syco having not gone completely off the rails at that point.
This seems totally different from the kind of songwriting from her songs on XF too. Will be very surprised if this does anything at all.
She should've just gone with a reworked version of Roots or Too Young oops

The whole thing is just so frustrating, she had half a ready made album just there and waiting to be released and yet it's been completely wasted.
