Welcome to Round 6 of Least Fave Destiny's Child single and the 5th one to go is "The Girl Is Mine", which received 9 votes and has lasted quite well, considering that it's not actually one of their own songs. British Electronic duo 99 Souls, created a mash up of DC's "Girl" and Brandy and Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" in 2014 and it first appeared on SoundCloud, while they didn't think much would come of it, the mash up garnered 2.9 Million steams in it's first year, but was taken down due to copyrights issues. After Brandy and Beyoncé approved of it, the song was enhanced with new re-recorded vocals by Brandy and the song was given a release. So far it has reached #9 on the UK singles chart, becoming a sleeper hit and has sold over 200,000 copies to date, earning a silver disc.
