Mike Skinner posted a video of a possibly upcoming collaboration with Tame Impala - it does scream April Fools' joke but the NME are reporting that "Although the timing of the post could be mistaken for an elaborate April Fool’s, a representative for The Streets has confirmed the song’s authenticity to NME." So I'm going to keep a little bit of hope. tongue.gif

Real or not, it's sounding interesting from the clip!

This is looking a lot more likely to be real! Someone found an interview from Mike Skinner late last year saying Kevin was interested in collaborating for The Streets' new EP (who Mike was also trying to get IDLES and slowthai on).

I'm up for this collaboration!

This looks amazing!

Yeah I'm not into the UK rap scene, so I'm interested to hear some artists that are better than the ones in the charts! laugh.gif

I do know Jimothy Lacoste though, he's worth checking out. Kinda like indie spoken-word.

The Streets are one of my all-time favourite artists so I'm incredibly hyped for a new album.

A Grand Don't Come For Free is in my top 5 albums ever.

'Original Pirate Material' is my favourite album ever!

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 14th April 2020, 02:07 PM

'Take Me as I Am' released in October as a single from Chris Lorenzo's album 'Late Checkout' - still a banger!

The Tame Impala collab is not what I was expecting! The Streets name sounds like some indie band so I was took by surprise laugh.gif

'Where The F*&K Did April Go' is out today! It has the album artwork but isn't on the tracklist so I'm guessing it's just a bonus thing. laugh.gif Really enjoying it though!

'I Wish You Loved You As Much As You Love Him' (ft. Donae’O and Greentea Peng) out now, I like it but it's definitely my least favourite of the 3.

'Falling Down' feat. Hak Baker is out today

'Falling Down' is the slower track and it's brillant as well, pretty hyped now for this return I have to say!

I couldn’t find this track on the album either. He has released the song as a 2 track digital single paired with the collaboration with Tame Impala.

It’s a track about lockdown though, not for the album.
Love the lyrics as always.

Loving everything from this so far, didn’t think I’d be this excited for an album from The Streets in 2020.

Out today! I'm loving the IDLES collab so much

Posted by: Steve201 10th July 2020, 11:12 AM

I just gave this its first spin there and it sounds up there with the first two albums, some fantastic songs on there especially the last song on the album with Chris Lorenzo!

This was a pleasant surprise overall! The singles I wasn't much of a fan of sounded a lot better in the album context, my favourites are the collabs with IDLES, Dapz on the Map, Robert Harvey and Chris Lorenzo.

Checked out a few of the album tracks from this and I am really liking 'The Poison I Take Hoping You Will Suffer', gives me pretty similar vibes to 'Blinded By The Lights' which is my favourite song from him. Most of the other stuff here isn't really up to the same quality as his older material (though I did enjoy the Tame Impala collab), good for him that he's managed to come back after so long and still have enough of a fanbase to get a top 2 album on pretty respectable sales though.

Only just found out that the "ELIZA" on 'I Know Something You Did' is Eliza Doolittle!

I wondered what happened to her, seems she's released quite a lot under that name.

Didn’t realise that actually, love the album by the way!
