(Please note there may be tracks from 2016 featured, while conversely tracks that I loved in 2016 and charted then, but didnt get entered until 2017, won't be featured)

Stats: 5 entries each from Suedonia and South Danaelanda, but who comes out on top for 2017?

4 for Trifoski, altyr, and ashton.... but who gets 3rd, 4th and 5th? Everyone else will just have to wait and see!

2 tracks "sold" a "million" in the same sense that tracks these days stream "sell" a "million", which is to say I played them a lot and loved them.

The bpttom 9...with minimum comment due to life commitments, I'm afraid. Sofi Tukker went on to produce a biggie, Motiv8 did better than first time-around (just!) in the 90's.

South danaelanda is the first of the top 2 countries to drop one of their 3 top 40 tracks, Bhangra & Tinnmark are still charting but the final chart of the year won't help them break into the 40 as the top 40 are clear in terms of points. Elizabeth Taylor original version was a biggie in 2016, and combined points would have made it top 10, but this is 2017 smile.gif

Yes, Suedonia kept out South Dan, which means they have one top 10 track to come, while DJ Licious is South Dan's top of the year. Suedonia therefore come out as our top nation for 2017. Sparks points include the recorded version, rather than the live version entered, but why quibble....? These are all amongst the best records of 2017, and will end up in my year-end top 100 overall.

So, Suedonia didn't quite grab the top spot with the 60's classic, our top nation overall, over the years, Yehesi did it with the awesome VINAI. LP is one I somehow missed in 2016, don't know what I was thinking! Trifoski get 2 amazing tracks in the 10, and 5 of them topped my charts. Not all of them, I think, but stand to be corrected, made the final, so what on earth (if true) were voters thinking! Smacked botties all round for not recognising the genius of the Evangeline track?

Oh my goodness, I really was not expecting an entry in your top 10 at all ohmy.gif I just had a look back at the voters for 'Ave Plague' and saw that you 'only' gave it 10 points at the time which is why it comes as a surprise. It is incredible that it grew on you to the point of being your ninth favourite entry of the year *.*

Brilliant to see SOLDOUT appearing in your countdown as well <3 if you have a spare moment to vote in Rejects semi 1 then that would be greatly appreciated kink.gif laugh.gif seriously though, great taste on the whole as usual! Vitalic was easily my highlight from you this year, I was such a fan that I bought the accompanying album on vinyl.

Hey thanks Jade for the comment and for loving the Vitalic song so much! Yes Ave Plague just grew and grew on me , and I still haven't gotten bored with it, just lovely and atmospheric. Shoulda given it the full 18 points, but growers arent always obvious...!

I didn't even know there was still a rejects comp on, been a bit wrapped up lately! I must have a lookie smile.gif
