In a round with no runaway loser, we say goodbye to 'Falling Free'. One of the album's few honest and heartfelt moments, the song speaks of surrendering control, accepting vulnerability and letting go. It's a beautiful crafted ballad, with Madonna's vocals leading the song, decorated with subtle but distinct Orbit-helmed strings and electronics. It may be a world away from the electro-pop blowout that precedes it, but it's a vital part in grounding the record in definite Madonna territory. Round 03: Falling Free [02/05; 40.00%] Round 02: Superstar [04/10; 40.00%] Round 01: B-Day Song (ft. M.I.A) [06/07; 85.71%] |

Shame 'Falling Free' went so early. It's not an immediate highlight to come to mind but it's such a tender, reflective moment with some strong vocals and production. Heartbreaking yet empowering. Anyway, 'Turn Up the Radio' again for me.
