I remember that coming out. Such a happy song for such a horrific subject matter

The new album seems to be good and a redemption from the previous works.
Saw some people saying it's not like the old Pixies and indeed it's not, but this is Pixies now.
But I keep being skeptical so I can possibly get surprised though? smile.gif

the post-reunion albums have been so bad,
I don't even understand it
how can a band that could write great songs so easily, I mean they released like 4 albums in 4 years and each album is packed with amazing songs, amazing lyrics, amazing guitar riffs, now they seem uncapable of writing a single great song

Personally I don't find the reunion albums all that bad. Not a patch on Surfer Rose or Doolittle but not much is to be fair. And I recall that despite some good to great reviews at the time both Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde left fans underwhelmed and disappointed. Especially as they felt more and more like Black Francis was taking over all the writing and vocal duties.

thats true about Bossanova and Trompe le Monde, not a patch on Doolittle but still miles and miles better than any of the recent albums
