"Strictly Come Dancing" being back on has led me down a YouTube black hole of reminiscing to when Emma and Mel B did their respective series.

I remember being so annoyed when Emma didn't win her series or at least make the final. Her and Darren Bennett were so well matched and just got better every week. I especially loved her Argentine tango (my favourite of the dances):

I only caught bits of Mel's dances on YouTube at the time she did it, but I loved her Paso Doble. Truly stunning and suited her down to the ground with the delivery and fiery mood of it!

I think Melanie C is a bit of a fool for not doing this show. It has done some great things for some of the acts solo careers or groups on the show. She might shift a few more albums through it. Also she would be really good on it...

Mel B's Paso with Maks is arguably the most iconic Paso in DWTS history. It's been featured a lot in specials and was recreated for Iconic Dances Night during Season 11.

Mel c and her career in general are hard to understand. She does some very dodgy gigs and things for promotion, she is a panelist on some shows she cant even hide her contempt for. Yet has actually slagged off Strictly which seems to get it right when it comes to fair light hearted tv. It is also a great tool for boosting the profile too. Her attitude towatds it is so odd.

I am not a big fan of the shows but it's true that can help to rise up their profiles.
It makes very good things for mel B in USA and Emma to bring Downtown to no.3.
I am sure Geri or Mel C could get some good exposure too and it's not something trash like Big Brother.
Now, considering geri is not really doing much as solo laately, Mel C instead should really consider the idea to do it

Emma and Mel B both did so well.

I actually enjoyed Mel B's performances over Emma's (which is something I rarely say). Mel B gave some really energetic, powerful performances. IMO Mel B should have won her season.

I'd also love Melanie C to take part. She would set that floor on fire. But apparently the BBC pays too little for her, which I can understand. It's all-consuming for the duration of the show, so her other work would be compromised. And part of the reason she's still making music is surely because she's self-funding.

Maybe DWTS has deeper pockets? But what are the chances of that offer coming in?

I think the BBC pays a standard fee for the contestants no matter who they are and they get a bonus for getting to Blackpool or the final.

Mel C I think has complained about the fee.
