No excuses at all for Ole this season with that very kind first set of fixtures. A poor start like last season simply isn't acceptable.

City & Chelsea have tough starts.

Some fun opening day fixtures!

Spurs vs Man City
Man Utd vs Leeds
Brentford vs Arsenal
Norwich vs Liverpool

Not sure how many games get picked for TV, but suspect these will all be on there!

You just know Tottenham will lose that first match against Manchester City haha. Interesting that Brentford's first match is at home and against Arsenal in what will be a London derby, the probable road back to the Championship begins against Liverpool just like it did in the 2019/20 season. I would be surprised if Man United's match against Leeds will not be a Super Sunday match at 4 PM on Sky Sports.

Depends - I think BT get 2nd choice pick, suspect they will go for Utd vs Leeds.

Brentford's last top flight match was against Arsenal so I suspect this fixture is not a coincidence.

The same reaction for Rafa if he joins Everton a la Chelsea 2013?

I wouldn't be complaining if I was an Everton fan. Benitez is about as good as there is out there atm and has a lot of experience in the PL. I think he'll do better than Ancelotti next season actually.

It will be worse than that, Everton have a nickname amongst Liverpool fans as "bitters" laugh.gif This is from a fanbase where they genuinely have large sections who won't even wear Red they're that bloody mad. Has anyone seen the video of Richard Keys and Andy Gray discussing it on Bein Sports?

Keys genuinely looks like he's going to start crying the great big melon rotf.gif

I think they are now in talks with Matt Hancock.

Nuno confirmed as Tottenham manager the other day.

Appointment of Rafa Benitez: -

I remember the fuss amongst my neighbours when Paul Lambert was appointed Ipswich boss, brave move.

Considering he was their 500th choice, Nuno is a decent snag for Spurs all things considered.

Vieira at Palace meanwhile I've no idea how that'll go. If he can last 5 games in charge then he'll already have done better than De Boer.
