My estimation is a tad random and like with Ed, possibly very optimistic, but I'm going for 220k here. I'd like to go higher but with her last album barely selling double that so far, I don't want to be too optimistic.

250k range.

I would say just under 200k based on those total sales for the first album not being very high. If I was to make an exact prediction I'd probably go for 184k!

210k.

Debut album definitely shouldn't be an indicator this time around...she is everywhere and considering how BIG was Problem (Break Free becoming one also), I think it's safe to say she will cross 200k barrier without a doubt.

I kind of agree. I am not completely ignoring the album which is why I'm not going too high but 200k+ should be more than possible regardless of how small her album-buying fanbase was this time last year. This album will outsell her début very quickly.

Yeah I definitely agree about it selling more than the debut overall very quickly, and you are probably right about the first week sales as well but we'll see

I wish we could predict a range rather than a figure

I'm thinking Number 1 with 186k for opening week. I really want to say over 200k, but with the album sales climate at the moment, I can't see it going that high.

I think 200,000 maybe. She was already very famous and had a big chart hit when her first album was released and that sold 138,000 first week. Now she's a little bit more famous and has had 3 chart hits from this album so far (although Break Free isn't the type of song that helps album sales), but also album sales in general have fallen, so about 200,000 is my prediction.

This is such a hard one to predict.
She's got the fanbase but (as you said) the climate at the moment.

I'm going to go with 300k.

270,000 - 330,000

It'll scrape 200,000 I think. It would've been much more had it not been a very poor sales situation this year but even then, I think a 200,000 start would be fab!

I'm going to say it'll cross 200k with ease if the last album managed 138k with barely anybody knowing who she is. I would have gone higher but I'm factoring in the climate not being as strong as it was a year ago.
Basically, 212k.

I'm going to say 230k

265k

220k.

REPUBLIC DOES EVERYTHING FOR ARIANA ROLLOUT
When the album streets on 8/25—the day after she gets some very big VMA looks—it will unquestionably be her second #1 bow, with forecasts in the 150-200k range.
Posted by: Addy K!ng Aug 24 2014, 08:16 PM
Probably after VMA's, those predictions will go as high as 225k-250k.

If she does end up selling 150-200k then she'd really best hope she has much better longevity than she did first time round. I think anything less than Platinum would be disappointment.

Definitely. She has serious hype around her, she could go close to 2 million units with the right promotion and single releases.
