Loooove her. Tough Love ended up being a first class album for me, and her voice is one of the best I've ever heard.

Posted by: Steve201 26th May 2016, 10:23 PM

Yeh seen her live during her last album tour and still doing small venues which is a good thing!

Posted by: Cameron 27th May 2016, 10:32 AM

Beautiful! Really makes me excited for the album wub.gif

Posted by: Red Blooded Man 28th May 2016, 04:18 PM

Look forward to it, Tough Love ends up to be one of my favourite albums.

Posted by: Cucumberella 28th May 2016, 07:37 PM

COME ON DIVA

Posted by: Doctor Blind 28th May 2016, 07:51 PM

She better give 110%, and then remember to CLEAR THE SAMPLE.

Posted by: THEO. 31st August 2017, 05:43 PM

Much better than "Midnight". She said on Twitter that the video is a prequel to "Midnight", I'm guessing it's not an official single though

Posted by: Davidson 31st August 2017, 10:41 PM

The album is called 'Glasshouse' btw.

'Selfish Love' is majestic, what a song/video combo. She is on fire so far this era.

Posted by: Cremey 31st August 2017, 11:13 PM

Still not keen on 'Midnight' at all but I'm loving this so much! Great video too.
Probably already my favourite of hers since 'Tough Love' (the single).

Posted by: Red Blooded Man 1st September 2017, 05:01 AM

I definitely prefer "Selfish Love" but she is vocally superb on both singles.

Posted by: Josh! 1st September 2017, 09:36 AM

I must be one of the few who adores "Midnight", it would still probably be one of my least favourite tracks if it were on Tough Love for example but I do think it's brilliant and I like how the chorus of it packs a bit of a punch.

"Selfish Love" is nice but I'm more here for her vocals here than the song itself. It is very dreamy and relaxing but I just find "Midnight" a bit more exciting. This album is shaping up to amazing anyway from the two tracks we've heard so far! heart.gif

You've pretty much echoed my sentiments. I wasn't all that keen on 'Midnight' at first but it's grown on me a lot; as you say, it's got a punchy chorus and she gives it her all vocally. I don't know if 'Selfish Love' will have the same effect; it's a gorgeous song, no doubt, but more of a track that works better as part of an album than it does as a single.

Posted by: Davidson 1st September 2017, 10:49 AM

'Selfish Love' sounds like a long lost Sade track. I honestly think it is one of the best things she has put her name to, so effortless.

Posted by: SevenSees 4th September 2017, 11:16 PM

Think i can get down with this sound

Selfish Love is gorgeous <3

Posted by: Bjork 5th September 2017, 02:35 PM

agree on the Sade comparison and actually hope she goes more in that direction, especially since Sade hasn't released anything in ages

Posted by: THEO. 6th September 2017, 12:59 PM

Absolutely loving "Selfish Love" right now, possibly the best thing she's done since "Wildest Moments"!

Apparently her label told her they wanted to see more colour in this era laugh.gif

Posted by: HarryEzra 6th September 2017, 05:15 PM

That cover is beautiful wub.gif

Posted by: Mikee1981 7th September 2017, 03:57 PM

Cant wait for this, loving 'Midnight' and 'Selfish Love',

my fave song by Jessie so far I'd have to say is Champagne Kisses

Posted by: lewistgreen 7th September 2017, 10:10 PM

'Alone' will be the next song to be released next week some time.

Posted by: Josh! 7th September 2017, 10:17 PM

That album artwork is GORGEOUS. I think it might even end up being the first CD I buy in about two years because I really want a physical copy of it. I wasn't sure what to think of Selfish Love at first but I am adoring it now, I imagine it would sound perfect on a hot summer night outside in a European country or something *-*

Do we have a date for this yet? I really can't wait for this, excited to be getting another new track next week though ^ cheer.gif

Posted by: Mikee1981 8th September 2017, 06:24 AM

When Jessie posted the album artwork and name she said soon, I read somewhere October when I was googling the album info

Nowhere near me so wont be attending kind of gutted

Posted by: THEO. 14th September 2017, 10:57 AM

I'm kind of disappointed in "Alone", mainly because "Selfish Love" is really amazing and possibly in my top five Jessie tracks so far! ohmy.gif I'm disappointed that no one's picking it up, Radio 1 ditched "Midnight" after only four weeks (no higher than B) and that was almost two weeks ago, now. Radio 2 didn't even bother sad.gif

"Alone" is much more similar to "Tough Love" and "Say You Love Me" though so I imagine it's out there to get anyone on board that got into her through the last album, it's not really single-worthy though so I hope they don't prioritise it.

Posted by: liamk97 14th September 2017, 12:48 PM

Yeah, I was thinking that 'Alone' feels more accessible. I think it sounds good though!

I think I'm really going to like this album. Both 'Midnight' and 'Selfish Love' started off with me thinking "these sound good but I don't know if I'd return to them" yet have really sprinted up in my affections.

Posted by: Red Blooded Man 14th September 2017, 03:04 PM

The cover is amazing!

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 15th September 2017, 09:17 PM

I think 'Alone' is really quite gorgeous! It's grabbed me more than anything else this era so far.

Posted by: HausofSZA 17th September 2017, 10:13 AM

Alone is lovely! It's very 'Jessie Ware by numbers' but that's not really a bad thing.

Posted by: SKOB 17th September 2017, 11:23 AM

Wait, why doesn't Radio 2 support her? She's clearly "their type"

Posted by: M4NG0 19th September 2017, 11:27 AM

I really like 'Selfish Love' but it looks like she's going with 'Alone' as the next official single.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 19th September 2017, 02:12 PM

I'm so in love with 'Alone'. I pray against all odds this can be the one to properly break her, it's a BIG song and it honestly deserves to.

Posted by: Juan Carlos 🌴 23rd September 2017, 08:33 PM

A spanish version of "Selfish Love" entitled "Egoísta" was meant to be out this week (it's out on https://us.7digital.com/artist/jessie-ware/release/egoísta-6904025), but looks like it will be released next week. A teaser was uploaded on her YouTube channel and you could listen to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwsEkJeY7tg.

Loving Alone! That's my favourite of hers since Night Light ohmy.gif

Posted by: Josh! 4th October 2017, 07:05 PM

Booked to see her live in March in Newcastle! SO excited for it, her voice live is going to completely melt me wub.gif

Jealous! I don't like her quite enough to pay to see her live but her voice is gorgeous so I'm sure it'll be worth it, enjoy!

Radio 2 have finally playlisted "Alone" (alongside Radio 1 who added her last Friday) so hopefully it'll get some sort of chart placing before the album's released (currently #215 on iTunes behind "Midnight" at #173, oops) - only 2 and a half weeks from now! It still hasn't grown on me unfortunately (if anything, I've gone off it even more) but I am still looking forward to the album and loving "Selfish Love"! I'm hoping they're saving it as a post-album single although that's unlikely seeing as they've already released the video sad.gif

Posted by: THEO. 10th October 2017, 12:19 PM

Quite awkward interview with Billboard about the new album, explaining the origins of its title and themes of the album http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/7990522/jessie-ware-glasshouse-motherhood-interview.

"Alone" is currently #87 on iTunes but still no sign of a music video! Only 10 days until the album is released - the only notable releases than I can see then are Niall Horan's debut album (presumably a #1 contender) and a George Michael reissue. Factoring in albums that will already be charting, I think the best we can expect at this point is top five but I think it's guaranteed to outpeak 'Tough Love' at the very least.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 10th October 2017, 12:24 PM

Still no video? I wish artists would actually have videos to go as soon as they're released in this day and age.

#87 on iTunes for now doesn't sound too bad.

Posted by: cqmerqn 10th October 2017, 08:06 PM

Alone up to 74!?

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 10th October 2017, 08:25 PM

Loving Selfish Love so obviously wish that was the single but Alone could grow on me! Both very different styles of music which is interesting.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 10th October 2017, 08:35 PM

I'm baffled why 'Alone' isn't getting much love on here? It's so BIG, it's beautiful and emotive.

Everywhere else but here I've seen it getting such acclaim.

Posted by: 152chris 10th October 2017, 09:43 PM

saw her here in paris and she played 'sam' as the last song and it was the biggest pile of dross i've ever heard. also co written by ed sheeran.

midnight is prob her best to date tho and am SO excited for the album

Posted by: Calcified Froot 11th October 2017, 06:34 PM

Alone is my favourite so far wub.gif

Like both Midnight & Selfish Love but something keeps stopping me from returning to them for some reason! Although have just become slightly more interested in Selfish Love now I know that there’s a Spanish version!

Midnight is really sonically interesting but sort of hard to fully warm to for some reason?

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 11th October 2017, 08:35 PM

'Alone' video coming tomorrow! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 12th October 2017, 04:35 PM

Posted by: Slick 12th October 2017, 04:38 PM

Really enjoying what I've heard from the album so far. 'Alone' is stunning. I've pre-ordered the album (a first for me!) and booked tickets to see her on tour. LOVE HER.

Posted by: White Mustang 12th October 2017, 04:47 PM

Midnight kind of squashed my expectations for the era because I found it so dull. ‘Alone’ is bit better but nothing is anywhere near Tough Love and Champagne Kisses from the last era.

Posted by: Liаm 12th October 2017, 04:57 PM

Alone is incredible wub.gif The only thing that's grabbed me so far this era, I feel like I should have liked Midnight more than I did :/

Posted by: liamk97 12th October 2017, 05:16 PM

There's something holding me back from properly loving 'Alone'. Like, it's clear it is a beautiful song and I feel it has the makings of being a decent hit for her, but I'm not being wowed by it for some reason. Maybe it'll click at some point but so far I just see it as a solid album track.

Posted by: Envoirment 12th October 2017, 08:00 PM

Love "Alone"! I really hope it'll become a hit somehow. The video is nice - really like the visuals.

Posted by: Red Blooded Man 13th October 2017, 10:20 AM

Alone is incredible !

New song about her husband called 'Sam' premiered on Radio 2. Can here it at 1:44:00. Really doesn't interest me in the way the other stuff has so far sad.gif

Posted by: LewisTScream 15th October 2017, 01:02 PM

Alone is the first track from this campaign to really hit me. Liking it at the moment!

Posted by: Mikee1981 20th October 2017, 01:30 PM

Just listening to the album loved all three of the singles so far and not disappointed one bit by the album.

'Sam' is beautiful

Posted by: Sonia Fowler 20th October 2017, 02:15 PM

Heard the album for the first time and I really liked Your Domino, Hearts, Finish Where We Started and Sam out of the stuff I hadn't heard. Really good album though!

Posted by: Jonjo 20th October 2017, 05:31 PM

So, 'Finish What We Started' is one of the best things she has recorded, yes? wub.gif absolutely stunning!

Posted by: Jo...shh! It's coming 20th October 2017, 06:11 PM

What a gorgeous album, she has delivered the goods yet again wub.gif Only listened twice so far but my highlights so far are "Your Domino" and "Sam" but there is not a single weak track on the album and she picked the best three choices for pre-album singles too (Selfish Love > Midnight > Alone, I think) heart.gif

SO excited to see her in March now cheer.gif

Posted by: Davidson 20th October 2017, 11:48 PM

I'm not loving this album as much as I should in full. I think it's because I love her so much and I think she could have made one of the best records of the year and yet it's held down from being so with the inclusion of some dull dross like 'Sam' and 'Hearts' which are just way too nicey nicey Ed Sheeran for me. Jessie has always been pretty Radio 2, but when she first came out with 'Devotion' the material was still so boundary pushing and edgy enough to keep her feeling so cool too. I can't help but feel she's going a tad too much in just the Radio 2 direction and the end product is an album which feels like her most safe to date?

I have to say though, despite feeling like a few dull tracks let it down, the standard of the highs are outstanding and there are some tracks on here that are amongst her best ever. 'Thinking About You', 'First Time' and 'Finish What We Started' are incredible and will be on repeat for a long while. I'm still also so obsessed with 'Midnight' and 'Selfish Love' too. Maybe it's because I was expecting such high quality as they are so 10/10 and then I got an 7.5/8 on a good day album.

Posted by: Liаm 24th October 2017, 01:14 AM

Sam is absolutely stunning, it is VERY Ed Sheeran but her voice is SO beautiful it totally sells the story even when it's a bit trite and basic.

Posted by: Mikee1981 26th October 2017, 09:23 AM

Thanks, expect to see this added to radio 1/2 playlists at the end of the month then.

Still loving the album and so so happy she added Sheffield o2 Academy to tour dates and I got tickets, never been to that venue and not been Sheffield for ages but finally getting to see Jessie

Posted by: Josh! 22nd March 2018, 11:27 AM

Went to see her last night and she put on such a fabulous show, one of the most friendly and hilarious personalities too, she had the audience cackling at some points. I wasn't expecting it to open the show at all so it was really nice to hear Sam in that spot, it worked surprisingly well at kicking things off. Only thing I'm a bit sad about is there was no You & I (Forever) on the setlist, probably my favourite song by her laugh.gif cry.gif

I thought Kiah Victoria as the support act was really good too, had never heard of before but all of her songs sounded fantastic - will definitely be checking out the studio versions of those soon.

Posted by: Jack 22nd March 2018, 12:12 PM

Noooo, I'm seeing her tonight and You & I (Forever) is my absolute favourite by her sad.gif.

Posted by: kye 22nd March 2018, 11:36 PM

she’s paid tough love absolute dust on this tour. there’s so much devotion in comparison sad.gif
