Fergie lands a surprise #1 as we make our way to the end of 2017 after a string of not-quite top tens capped off with the #8-peaking You Already Know. I was a little underwhelmed by this one at first but it ended up really vibing with me during these last few (exhausting) weeks, and it's nice to hear Fergie on a ballad after a string of upbeat offerings. Charli XCX and CupcakKe have a similar zoom into the top 5 this week with Lipgloss, soon to be followed up (I'm sure) by some new XCX offerings from her recenty-dropped Pop 2 mixtape. As is, it's Charli's fourth top ten of 2017, not too shabby. Preatures, Haim and Marshmello reshuffle, but hold steady within the top 5, while Lemon moves up to give Rihanna a third top ten of the year, and Martin Garrix's #10 debut gives him the same accolade, following two earlier chart toppers this spring and summer.

Other new entries in this week's chart come from Selena Gomez and Marshmello, Jax Jones and Ina Wroldsen, Kaskade and Skylar Grey, DJDS and Khalid, Miguel and Rick Ross, Anjulie and Justice Skolnik, Allie X and VERITE, and actually some solo acts too; Minke, Tove Styrke, Banks, First Aid Kit, and Sia with a catchy new seasonal song fitting for this week's late December chart. Those new entries will at some point over the week be getting video links and a bit of write-up, so watch out and check back for those to save you hunting them out yourselves. Also my weekly playlists (linked below) will contain a lot of the songs here and plenty others if you want some new music inspiration.

For now here's the full list covering the third week of Dec. 2017:

Hello Jupiter!

Lipgloss is very good, I like the 00s Eurodance reminscent synths in it!

I wonder why it is only charting for you now?

I preferred 'You Already Know' to 'Save It Til Morning', a bit 90s inspired especially with that rave vocal sample and the breakbeats.
