Ben Westbeech is a British DJ and producer originating from Hertfordshire who spent his formative musical years in Bristol. Trained as cellist and vocalist, his influences include house, soul, jazz and hip hop.

518 Jack

One of the biggest injustices in my chart dates back to the year I started when Jack (2013, #1, EOY #64) beat Selena's Come & Get It to the top spot. This would be the dictionary definition of a non-#1 in my chart, that was indeed the only week it was ever above C&GI and it only managed 4 weeks in my top 20 overall (vs Selena's 19). The song is ok but got boring very quickly and the video is just awful. One of the worst chart toppers here unfortunately. This comment has been a bit too negative. It's catchy but non-essential.

Brett Domino

Brett Domino is the alter-ego of musician and comedian Rob J Madin. As Brett Domino, he is a YouTube musician and internet celebrity from Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire, England, UK. He is best known for his YouTube videos, in which he plays covers, medleys and original songs on various musical instruments, most notably the keytar and Stylophone. His band The Brett Domino Trio currently consists of only two members, Domino and "Steven Peavis" (Ste Anderson) after having only actually been a three-piece for around a year, "Mitch Hutchinson" (Michael Denny) left the band in 2009 to become a forklift truck driver.

267 Gillian McKeith

Gillian McKeith (2014, #1, EOY #57) was a novelty song timed during her spell on 2010's I'm A Celeb... where she of course become the biggest talking point in Britain by 'fainting' at thr news that she was to perform the live task. The fact that it made my chart 4 years after the event shows that I think it's actually a pretty fun song in its own right. The song is very quotable and funny; the line "you must have seen the show before with your eyes so reptilian" always gets me laugh.gif Brett Domino continued to make some fun YouTube videos afterwards to be fair. the 'how to make a hit pop song' series is pretty enjoyable and the songs always end up annoyingly catchy.

Bridgit Mendler

Bridgit Claire Mendler (born December 18, 1992) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. In 2004, she began her career in the animated Indian film The Legend of Buddha. In 2009, Mendler signed with Disney Channel and played Juliet van Heusen on Wizards of Waverly Place. Following the positive reception to her character, she landed the role of Teddy Duncan on the Disney series Good Luck Charlie, which ran from April 2010 to February 2014. Mendler also starred as Candace in the NBC sitcom Undateable (2015–2016) and Ashley Willerman in the musical television series Nashville (2017). In 2012, Mendler released her debut studio album Hello My Name Is.... It went on to peak at number 30 on the Billboard 200. The record spawned the lead single "Ready or Not" (2012), which was certified Gold and Platinum in various countries.

588 Ready Or Not

Ready Or Not (2013, #5 EOY #46) is very much of it's time. We feel like we're, musically, so far from this right now that it's hard to believe that this was only the early/mid 2010's. This was obviously a big hit at the time and one I personally really loved but it feels like it has been left it 2013 by both me and the public. Listening to it now, it doesn't sound as dated as I expected it to, it is still a fun little pop jam. Remarkably with Bruno Mars being the next artist, it will be 2 people in a row who's songs have referenced living next door to Oprah.

Bruno Mars

Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985), known professionally as Bruno Mars, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, and dancer. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mars moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue a musical career. He is known for his stage performances, retro showmanship, and for performing in a wide range of musical styles, including pop, R&B, funk, soul, reggae, hip hop, and rock. Mars is accompanied by his band, The Hooligans, who play a variety of instruments, such as electric guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, drums, and horns, and also serve as backup singers and dancers.

Mars has sold over 130 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He has released seven number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since his career launched in 2010, attaining his first five faster than any male artist since Elvis Presley.

??? Finesse (ft Cardi B)
??? Nothin' On You (B.O.B. ft Bruno Mars)
538 Billionaire (Travis McCoy ft Bruno Mars)
717 Mirror (Lil Wayne ft Bruno Mars)

Until Finesse, Bruno Mars had been an artist of which who's solo work I was really not a fan. And while he has since gone back to releasing music that does nothing for me, Finesse is a massive triumph and has made my top 250 for the decade. Other than that, he's had a few good features where he's provided a decent hook but all his own massive hits have been annoying for me.

Buckwheat Groats

Buckwheat Groats are a New York based rap-duo consisting of members Penis Bailey The Bailey and Lil' Dinky (aka Deff Janiels).

329 Tom Hanks

If you were to ask me what the funniest video created during the 2010's was I would probably have to say this one. If you ever wanted to see Tom Hanks murder a cop or get a lap dance then this is the video for you. Endlessly quotable ("Sally Field my sidepiece, Meg Ryan my boo thang", "y'all motherf****rs make me Vom Hanks"), this is the perfect tribute to the proclaimed GOAT of acting. Get well soon to the real Tom Hanks.

Buddy

Simmie Sims III (born September 10, 1993), known professionally as Buddy, is an American rapper, singer, dancer and actor. He is a member of the hip-hop supergroup Zoink Gang, with JID, Smino and Guapdad 4000.

??? Wells Fargo (J.I.D, Buddy, Earthgang & Guapdad 4000)
773 1993 (Buddy, Smino, Cozz, Earthgang, J.I.D & J. Cole)

1993 (2019, #2, EOY #72) is another song that I find very funny. It was recorded during the Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions and shows a scene where Buddy just wants to chill and smoke weed whilst getting increasingly agitated by the rapping of the other people beside him ("Stop rapping n***a, this is not a rap session! We gettin' high"). Some of the verses are so good that you get annoyed when Buddy cuts them off though, especially JID's verse. laugh.gif

Bugzy Malone

Aaron Davis (born 20 December, 1990), better known by his stage name Bugzy Malone, is a British rapper and actor, from Manchester, England. Malone has been described as one of the key artists instigating a "grime revival" moving the UK urban scene away from more commercially oriented music and the first artist in the grime genre from Manchester to have commercial success in the UK.

587 Through The Night (ft DJ Luck & MC Neat)

A Little Bit Of Luck is one of my all-time favourite songs so Through The Night (2017, #4, EOY #65) had a lot to live up to using that sample and to Bugzy's credit, he used it really well. I haven't properly got into any other of his singles but just hearing that famous chorus makes me love this. The song is firing shots everywhere culminating with a killer blow for other MC's in the last verse. Even though it was uploaded to Bugzy's YouTube channel the video has currently been blocked on copyright grounds. wacko.gif

Busta Rhymes

Trevor George Smith Jr. (born May 20, 1972), known professionally as Busta Rhymes, is an American rapper, musician, singer, record producer, record executive, and actor. Chuck D of Public Enemy gave him the moniker Busta Rhymes, after NFL and CFL wide receiver George "Buster" Rhymes. He is known for his outlandish style and fashion sense as well as his intricate and high-speed rhyming technique. He has received 11 Grammy Award nominations for his work.

??? Calm Down (ft Eminem)
??? Thank You (ft Q-Tip, Lil Wayne & Kanye West)

Concluding a very rap-heavy section is Busta Rhymes. Both of his hits here were #1's and have made the top 250. Well done to one of the best fast rappers of all time; Busta Rhymes!

Cadet

Blaine Cameron Johnson (2 March 1990 – 9 February 2019), known professionally as Cadet, was a British rapper, songwriter and record producer. The younger cousin of Krept, Johnson began pursuing a solo career as a rapper in 2011, releasing a number of freestyles through YouTube outlets such as OSM Vision and Link Up TV.

469 Advice (Cadet & Deno Driz)

Advice (2018, #3, EOY #51) was one of the rare few songs that completely won me over in one listen. The playful dynamic between Cadet & Deno works perfectly, it feels like a big brother talking to their younger brother and the chorus where they go back and forth is a massive earworm. It's hard to believe that the song started off as just a quick freestyle after the Dele Alli eye celebration briefly took over social media.

Rest in peace to Cadet. It's now been a year since the tragic car incident and recently the driver responsible has been sentenced to 4 years in jail.

Calum Scott

Calum Scott (born 12 October 1988) is an English singer and songwriter. In 2015, he became known worldwide after competing on the popular television show Britain's Got Talent. He subsequently released his version of Robyn's hit "Dancing On My Own" as a single, which reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and became the best-selling song that summer in the UK.

554 Dancing On My Own

It might be sacrilegious to say it on here, but I've never really enjoyed Robyn as an artist and think the original Dancing On My Own is rubbish. I think it sounds a bit trashy and devoid of any emotion whereas Calum Scott's cover (2016, #5, EOY #51) is a massive improvement. The live version sounded better but even in the studio version his voice sounds interesting and he manages to sell the weight of the song really well.

Calvin Harris

Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), known professionally as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ, record producer, singer, and songwriter. Harris has received twelve Brit Award nominations–winning British Producer of the Year in 2019, and four Grammy nominations, winning Best Music Video in 2013. In the same year he also received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors. He also topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid DJs for six consecutive years from 2013 to 2018.

265 Feels (ft Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean)
726 One Kiss (Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa)
828 Drinking From The Bottle (ft Tinie Tempah)
919 Slide (ft Frank Ocean & Migos)
998 Off The Record (Tinchy Stryder ft Calvin Harris & Burns)

Most of my favourite work from Calvin Harris came before 2010. The Girls, Dance Wiv Me, Holiday, Acceptable In The 80's were all tunes but I he hasn't managed the same success rate since with me.

Feels (2017, #1, EOY #29) is a song that I've placed too low here (it should really be ~350ish) but I can't change it move it without huge ramifications for everything else so here it stays. At first it seemed like the oddest amalgamation of artists but it somehow works. Sean's verse is the highlight but I do really enjoy Katy's chorus too.

One Kiss (2018, #5, EOY #50) is a song that I never truly loved at any point but managed to get a long run in my chart by getting the odd listen over an extended period of time. It did get overplayed to the point of over-saturation though. I'm still bitter about it denying No Tears Left To Cry a #1 too mad.gif

Drinking From The Bottle (2013, EOY #86) was a song that was released when I was still big on Tinie Tempah and is one I got bored of very quickly and haven't gone back to since. Slide (2017, #7), on the other hand, was one I was incredibly late getting into. It's easily the coolest song Calvin has ever released with Frank Ocean sounding so smooth and Migos doing their thing. Has held up really well.

Camila Cabello

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (born March 3, 1997) is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor USA in 2012. While in Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes, and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly.
After leaving the group in late 2016, Cabello's debut studio album, Camila (2018), reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The Latin music-influenced pop album was well received by critics, and received a Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Its lead single "Havana" topped the charts in several countries including the US and UK.
Cabello has amassed billions of streams on music platforms. She has the best-selling digital single of 2018 according to International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Cabello has won many awards throughout her career, including two Latin Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, and one Billboard Music Award. She has also received three Grammy Award nominations.

??? Havana (ft Young Thug)
321 Living Proof
351 Bad Things (Machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cabello)
376 Never Be The Same
416 Know No Better (Major Lazer ft Travis Scott, Camila Cabello & Quavo)
470 Shameless
535 I Know What You Did Last Summer (Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello)
562 Cry For Me
657 Liar
665 Into It
751 Crying In The Club
917 Real Friends
940 This Love
971 Consequences

As you will see soon if you continue to follow this thread, I was a massive Fifth Harmony fan and my favourite member was always Camila. So when she left the group, I was saddened but very excited to see the progression of her career. I was very hyped for her debut as a soloist and the song she chose to announce herself with was Crying In The Club (2017, #5, EOY #70). The track was penned by Sia, and you can tell as she sounds exactly like a Sia clone on it. I forced myself to like the song because my expectations were so high going in but it was clear that this was not the direction Camila needed to go in to have a successful solo career. However, she then next came back with a double release in 2017, with one of these songs being Havana. This song sounded fresh and unique and helped Camila build her own identity and shot to #1 on both sides of the Atlantic and has made my top 250. I was meant to see Camila for the first time in concert next month but unsurprisingly, but no less disappointingly, it has been postponed.

The rest of the songs I’m going to go through by album, starting with her debut, Camila. Never Be The Same (2018, #5, EOY #36) was the single after Havana for her and was another great song and smash hit. This had a massive run in my chart over 2017-18 but it’s not one that I’ve listened to much over the past year. The song really gives Camila a chance to show off her unique and interesting voice. Listening again now and I’m really enjoying it. I might need to start giving it a few spins again. Into It (2018, #6, EOY #100) was my favourite album-track from Camila and is still a song I love to listen to. I know everyone wanted ‘She Loves Control’ to be a single but this was easily my choice. A really fun pop song with a cute and catchy chorus, this is a massively underrated one. Real Friends (2017, #5) was released at the same time as NBTS and, for one week, was my favourite of the two. A remix with Swae Lee gave it a very short second wind in my chart but in all honestly didn’t really add anything to the song. A much gentler track than the big hits from the album, the acoustic guitar is a nice touch and the chorus is deceivingly understated as it remains with you long after you last heard it. Consequences (2018, #17) was the final single and the ballad from the album. I’m not too shocked it never caught on, it’s really pleasant but doesn’t scream single.

Romance snuck in right at the end of the decade and provided Camila with three #1s in my chart even if her reception is the official charts across the world was much more muted. Living Proof (2019, #1, EOY #39) is quickly establishing itself as one of my favourite tracks of which Camila has been involved. I was initially put off by the high-pitched falsetto in this single but as soon as I heard the album that feeling went away and it shot straight to the top of my chart. I’m so sad that the whole world slept on this one, it couldn’t even make the UK or Billboard Top 100 despite being a beautiful, standout track. Shameless (2019, #1, EOY #42) was obviously released as Camila’s comeback alongside a song still to come and while this felt like the less-commercial of the two, it was the one that made the largest impact on me and topped my chart. This song feels so “cool”. It’s much more mature than most of her other releases and honestly feels like it wouldn’t have been out of place had it been released by someone which much more indie-cred. Neither Cry For Me (2019, EOY #81) & Easy hit me when they were released which was making me nervous about the impending album. However, when Romance was released everything started to fall into place and Cry For Me even managed to fight its way to becoming my the first #1 in my chart in the 2020’s. The chorus is so strong and one of the best of the past year. The little bridge feels a bit rocker than the rest of her music and gives slight Dangerous Woman vibes which is never a bad thing. Liar (2019, #2, EOY #45) was the track that ultimately outshone Shameless to become the 1st single from Romance. Despite coming on the tail of a worldwide #1 in her collab with boyfriend Shawn Mendes, sounding uber-commercial and very reminiscent of Havana it underperformed peaking at #21 in the UK and #52 in the US. I like the vibe of this track, it’s very fun and bouncy even if I wouldn’t say it is a fave of mine. This Love (2019, #10) was my favourite album track from Romance. It’s a ballad with elements of RnB and rock and is much more impactful than the ballad from her debut album. She doesn’t swear too often in her music which makes the instances of f-bombs here all the more hard-hitting.

Cardi B

Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar (born October 11, 1992), known professionally as Cardi B, is an American rapper, songwriter, television personality and actress. Born in Manhattan and raised in The Bronx, New York City, she became an internet celebrity after several of her posts and videos became popular on Vine and Instagram. From 2015 to 2017, she appeared as a regular cast member on the VH1 reality television series Love & Hip Hop: New York.

Cardi B has since earned three number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100; "Bodak Yellow" made her the second female rapper to top the chart with a solo output—following Lauryn Hill in 1998, "I Like It" made her the only female rapper to attain multiple number-one songs on the chart, and her Maroon 5 collaboration "Girls Like You" made her the sixth female artist to achieve three number-one singles on the chart during the 2010s.

Recognized by Forbes as one of the most influential female rappers of all time, Cardi B is known for her aggressive flow and candid lyrics.coverage. She is the highest-certified female rapper of all time on the RIAA's Top Artists (Digital Singles) ranking, as well as appearing among the ten highest-certified female artists, and having the top certified song by a female rap artist. Her accolades include a Grammy Award, seven Billboard Music Awards, five Guinness World Records, four American Music Awards, and eleven BET Hip Hop Awards. In 2018, Time included her on their annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

??? Finesse (Bruno Mars & Cardi B)
379 Taki Taki (DJ Snake ft Selena Gomez, Ozuna & Cardi B)
577 Be Careful
686 Thotiana (Blueface ft Cardi B)
757 MotorSport (Migos, Nicki Mianj & Cardi B)
821 Bodak Yellow
841 Bartier Cardi (ft 21 Savage)
975 Girls (Rita Ora ft Cardi B, Bebe Rexha & Charli XCX)

Be Careful (2018, #9, EOY #95) is comfortably my favourite of Cardi's solo releases and deserved to be the song that smashed over I Like It. The song acts as a warning to her potential partner telling them not to cheat on her. Nevertheless, Offset still did. The song is softer and a lot less aggressive and braggadocios than most of her work which gives it a unique flavour. She still manages some witty and brutal lyrics though. Bodak Yellow (2017, #5, EOY #80) is a song I still cannot fathom just how huge it was. The song is essential a remake of 'No Flockin'' by Kodak Black, hence the unusual song title. I imagine he reacted like Soulja Boy in that clip of his talking about Drake the first time he heard it. I first heard it a while before it started to get popular and thought it was terrible but it did grow on me when it started to take off. Bartier Cardi (2018, #11) is a song that I never got into fully at any point but I find myself giving it the odd listen here and there. I'm a bit of a sucker for a 21 verse, who else could get away with lyrics such as "Tell the waitress I ain't tippin', I like hot sauce on my chicken?' 'lol: The song is a bit of a mess but it just about works at getting stuck in your head.

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen (born November 21, 1985) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress. Born and raised in Mission, British Columbia, Jepsen performed several lead roles in her high school's musical productions and pursued musical theatre at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, BC. After completing her studies, she competed on the fifth season of Canadian Idol in 2007, placing third.

Jepsen's breakthrough came in 2012, when her single "Call Me Maybe" achieved significant mainstream popularity; the song was the best-selling single of that year, reaching number one in 18 countries. In 2013 Jepsen made her Broadway stage debut as the titular character in Cinderella.

??? Call Me Maybe
681 I Really Like You
861 Good Time (Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen)
999 This Kiss

Call Me Maybe is one of the best pop songs of the decade and will be finishing very highly but while I never became a fan of her in the same way a lot of people on this site did, she has still managed a few more entries here.

I Really Like You (2015, #2, EOY #97) was a song I enjoyed for a couple of weeks and got over quickly. The video with Tom Hanks is what really sells the song. We've already seen evidence that all you need to do to get a hit in my chart is to get feature Tom Hanks in the music video (see Buckwheat Groats earlier). This song cannot get close to reaching the heights of CMM but it's still fun. Until it came to compile this countdown I had completely forgotten about the existence of This Kiss. It does sound a bit dated but I think I actually prefer it to IRLY but cannot place it higher as I hadn't listened to it for about 7 years laugh.gif I did enjoy it back in the day though.

Cash Cash

Cash Cash is an American electronic music group from Roseland, New Jersey. The group currently consists of three DJs: brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, and Samuel Frisch. The group's highest-charting song to date is "Take Me Home", which features vocals by Bebe Rexha. As of 2016, the group has released four full-length albums, an array of EPs, singles, and provided official remixes for acts such as Krewella, Capital Cities, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Showtek, and Icona Pop, along with producing and co-writing Krewella's single "Live for the Night".

??? Take Me Home (ft Bebe Rexha)

Take Me Home is in my top 250 and was my first introduction to both them and Bebe Rexha. Bebe has obviously managed a few other hits but I can't say I've been particularly fond of anything else I've heard from Cash Cash.

Cashmere Cat

Magnus August Hřiberg (born 29 November 1987), known professionally as Cashmere Cat, is a Norwegian musician, DJ and record producer. He is best known for producing songs for various artists, such as Ariana Grande, Charli XCX and The Weeknd. He also represented Norway in the DMC World DJ Championships as DJ Final from 2006 to 2009.

615 Quit (ft Ariana Grande)
617 Be My Baby (Ariana Grande ft Cashmere Cat)
954 Adore (ft Ariana Grande)

Let's be honest, Cashmere Cat is only here because he's made songs with Ariana Grande. If any of his 2 songs here featured any other artist I probably would never have even listened to them. Quit (2017, #7, EOY #36) is a song that probably should be higher but when I want to listen to Ariana it is never one I go to first. Cat's production throughout the track is great. It's fairly minimalist when Ariana is singing which allows her vocals to shine but the drop is really interesting even if it remains still fairly subdued. This song is really effortlessly cool and is a vibe I hope Ariana explores again. Adore (2015, #11) is a nice song but certainly feels like the first stop into what eventually evolved into Quit. This feels very early Ariana. It wouldn't have been amiss on the My Everything soundtrack. Cat's production here is a bit chaotic but the piano outro really shines.

Catfish And The Bottlemen

Catfish and the Bottlemen are a British indie rock band, formed in Llandudno, North Wales, in 2007. Their debut album, The Balcony, reached number 10 in the UK Albums Chart and achieved Platinum status on 30 December 2016. They won a Brit Award for British Breakthrough act on 24 February 2016. On 27 May 2016, they released their second album, The Ride, which reached number 1 in the UK album charts.

566 Cocoon

Cocoon (2015, #8, EOY #59) is one of the best rock songs of the decade. Probably helped out by its appearance on the FIFA 15 soundtrack. it is a song that everyone I knew seemed to love at the time. It feels much bigger than a song that completely missed the UK top 100 at least. When the chorus gets stuck in your head it just won't leave. Massive, massive tune and far and away the best song Catfish have ever done for me.

CeeLo Green

Thomas DeCarlo Callaway (born May 30, 1975), known professionally as CeeLo Green, is an American singer, rapper, composer, record producer, and actor. Green is known for his work in soul music, including the hit singles "Crazy" and "F**k You". Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Green came to initial prominence as a member of the Southern hip hop group Goodie Mob. He subsequently began a solo career, releasing two albums on Arista Records.

Green's next project was Gnarls Barkley, a collaboration with DJ Danger Mouse. In 2006, the duo scored a worldwide hit with "Crazy", which reached the top five in twenty countries, including the U.S. and U.K. With Gnarls Barkley, Green released two albums: 2006's platinum-selling St. Elsewhere and 2008's The Odd Couple. In 2010, Green continued his solo career with the album The Lady Killer, which spawned his biggest solo hit, "F**k You".

??? Forget You

Forget You was a song I was obsessed with at the start of the decade and will be finishing very highly here indeed. On a related note, I was listening to "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" the other day and I had completely forgot CeeLo started off as a rapper and had a verse on one of the songs.

Celine Dion

Céline Marie Claudette Dion CC OQ (born 30 March 1968) is a Canadian singer born into a large family from Charlemagne, Quebec. She first gained international recognition by winning both the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, where she represented Switzerland. AIn 1990, Dion released her debut English-language album, Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.

During the 1990s, she achieved worldwide fame after releasing several best-selling English albums, and scoring a series of international number-one hits, including "The Power of Love", "Think Twice", "My Heart Will Go On", and "I'm Your Angel". Dion continued releasing French albums between each English record; D'eux (1995) became the best-selling French-language album of all time. During the 2000s, she built her reputation as a highly successful live performer with A New Day... on the Las Vegas Strip (2003–07), which remains the highest-grossing concert residency of all time, as well as the Taking Chances World Tour (2008–09), one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. She has won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. She is the second best-selling female artist in the US during the Nielsen SoundScan era. She remains the best-selling Canadian artist and one of the best-selling artists of all time with record sales of 200 million copies worldwide.

761 Ashes

Celine was not an artist I was ever expecting to get a hit in my chart but her epic Bond-spoof for Deadpool 2, (which is better than most of the real ones) Ashes (2018, #3, EOY #83) got her that hit. The song is used perfectly in the film too. Used as the track over the opening credits, just after the killing of Deadpool's girlfriend and sets the movie up as one that goes in directions you aren't expecting. Undoubtedly Celine's best soundtrack song happy.gif

The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers are an American electronic DJ and production duo consisting of Alexander "Alex" Pall and Andrew "Drew" Taggart. They have won a Grammy award, two American Music Awards, seven Billboard Music Awards and nine iHeartRadio Music Awards. According to Forbes 2019 list of highest paid celebrities, the Chainsmokers were the highest paid DJs, dethroning Calvin Harris after six years.

??? #Selfie
302 Don't Let Me Down (ft Daya)

I know I'm on an island here but I think #Selfie is a pretty fun song and the spoken vocals work well not just as a parody of a certain type of club-goer but also as an interesting song. Don't Let Me Down (2016, #5, EOY #73). I've ranked it a bit higher than I really should have but it's one of the rare dance songs of the 2nd half of the decade that I love. Daya's vocals are what dragged me into the song. Some interesting inflections that help make the song stand out. Everything The Chainsmokers have released since has been a bit too paint-by-numbers for me. Who knew this video had 1.5 billion views? ohmy.gif

Chance The Rapper

Chancelor Johnathan Bennett (born April 16, 1993), known professionally as Chance the Rapper, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and activist. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Chance the Rapper released his debut mixtape 10 Day in 2012. His third mixtape, Coloring Book, was released in 2016, and earned him three Grammy Awards, including the award for Best Rap Album; upon winning, it became the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy Award. His debut studio album The Big Day was released on July 26, 2019. Alongside his solo career, Chance the Rapper is a member of the Chicago collective Savemoney, and is the vocalist for the band the Social Experiment; they released the album Surf in May 2015, led by trumpeter Nico Segal.

252 I Might Need Security
401 Handsome (ft Megan Thee Stallion)
407 I'm The One (DJ Khaled ft Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne)
418 Hot Shower (ft MadeinTYO & DaBaby)
803 Eternal (ft Smino)

Just missing out on a top 250 place is I Might Need Security (2018, #3, EOY #49). This song just doesn't get dull. The sample that constitutes the instrumental of the song is obviously a highlight. I burst out into laughter the first time I heard it. The 'f**k you' sample is from Jamie Foxx's 2002 stand-up show 'I Might Need Security'. Chance's verses are also top notch. Some good bits of wordplay, some genuinely angry bars concluding with his only fu right in time with the sampled background. I'm delighted this somehow managed to reach the UK top 100 seeming that nothing on his album the next year could do so. The stand-out track from that album was Handsome (2019, #2, EOY #27). This was my first introduction to one Megan Thee Stallion and she totally stole the show. Her verse is cool and confident and was a great sign of things to come from her. Nice self-reaffirming chorus from Chance who beat Stormzy to it by half a year. Hot Shower (2019, #2, EOY #35) is one of those songs that put me in a good mood as soon as I hear it. Chance & DaBaby's parts are hype but MadeinTYO's verse is so dull and tiresome it does drag the song down a bit. This would have easily been at least 100 places higher if his verse wasn't on it. Finally, Eternal (2019, #3, EOY #90) is another absolutely joyous song from Chance. The song is so charming, he got away with dropping the n-word during a performance of it on Ellen, which you can see in the video alongside tonnes of memes from Spongebob, It's Always Sunny & Shrek.

Charles Hamilton

Charles Eddie-Lee Hamilton, Jr. (born November 10, 1987), is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer from Harlem, New York City, New York. In addition to his solo career, he was a former member of The Chosen Few, and was also a member of the All City Chess Club.

Hamilton gained major recognition after being featured on the cover of the XXL's 2009 Freshmen Class issue and signing an undisclosed million dollar distribution record deal with Interscope Records, in 2008Hamilton was due to release his major-label debut album for Interscope entitled This Perfect Life but, in late 2009, due to Hamilton's undiagnosed bipolar disorder at the time, he became a frequent source of controversy and public scrutiny for his conduct on social media and in public settings, causing Hamilton to be dropped from the record label.

??? New York Raining (ft Rita Ora)

New York Raining remains the only song I've heard by Charles but it's a stormer. Rita sounds brilliant on it too and it's very deserving of its top 250 place.

Charli XCX

Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), known professionally as Charli XCX, is an English singer, songwriter, actress and record producer. Born in Cambridge and raised in Start Hill, Essex, she began posting songs on Myspace in 2008, which led to her discovery by a promoter. In 2010 she signed a recording contract with Asylum Records. In 2013, Charli XCX rose to fame with the Icona Pop collaboration "I Love It", which became an international hit, reaching top 10 in North America and Europe. Her debut studio album, True Romance (2013), was released that year to critical acclaim.

In addition to her solo work, Charli XCX has co-written songs for other artists, including Iggy Azalea's "Beg for It" (2014), Selena Gomez's "Same Old Love" (2015), Blondie's "Tonight" (2017), and Shawn Mendes' collaboration with Camila Cabello, "Seńorita" (2019).

??? Boom Clap
??? Fancy (Iggy Azalea ft Charli XCX)
??? I Love It (Icona Pop ft Charli XCX)

693 Break The Rules
818 After The Afterparty (ft Lil Yachty)
942 Boys
975 Girls (Rita Ora ft Cardi B, Bebe Rexha & Charli XCX)

The 2nd song in a row to feature Rita Ora today, Doing It (2015, #10, EOY #80) is a song I go ages without hearing and forgetting just how much I enjoy it. It's still sounding pretty fresh to be fair. Break The Rules (2014, #6) has such brilliant verses but I'm still not fully convinced of the chorus. Listening to it again for the first time in a while and I'm enjoying it biggrin.gif After The Afterparty (2016, #9) features a suitably naff verse from Yachty but it bops along nicely. Not one I would want to listen to too often though. Boys (2017, #13) is a weird song with its Mario coin sample and its simply and almost child-like lyrics. It's obvious most remembered for its cameo-galore satirical music video that shows the male celebrities being shot in the same way females are in music videos directed with the male gaze.

Chase & Status

Chase & Status are an English electronic music duo composed of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). In addition, MC Rage assists the group when they perform DJ and live sets while Andy Gangadeen is the drummer when the band performs live. The duo are from London, and formed in 2003 after meeting at university in Manchester. The duo have since released five studio albums as well as collaborating with major artists such as Plan B, CeeLo Green, Rihanna, Example, Dave Ball (The Grid), and Tinie Tempah. They run the independent record label MTA Records

473 Hitz (ft Tinie Tempah)
898 Control (ft Slaves)

Hitz is a massive tune from Chase & Status. Released back in Tinie's heyday with some memorable lyrics ("I've been getting real f****n' friendly with the banks man; and I don't mean Phil, Carlton, Hillary or Ashley", "she called me chauvinistic, bet she can't even spell it"), I find this to be one of his songs that has held up best. I've always wondered why the chorus was left of the studio version on Spotify though confused.gif Control (2016, #3, EOY #99) is a very loud and bold dance/rock mix that I think goes together well. The "who?, what me?" part always gets stuck in my head every time I hear it. It's not one I would want to listen to all the time though.

Cheat Codes

Cheat Codes is an American electronic music DJ trio based in Los Angeles, consisting of KEVI (Kevin Ford), Trevor Dahl, and Matthew Russell. Their name was inspired by Kevin's brother who told him that he had found the "cheat code" to getting anything he wanted in life.

559 Sex (Cheat Codes & Kris Kross Amsterdam)
926 Only You (Cheat Codes & Little Mix)

Sex (2016, #3, EOY #53) is comfortably one of the best of the dance-remake-of-an-old-hit trend that developed in the 2010's. The video's pretty funny and overall I would say the song is on par with the Salt-n-Peppa original. Basic, but a bop. Only You (2018, #12) is a song that I was incredibly hyped for as due to the feature but it really underwhelmed. I was starting to worry I was going off Little Mix a bit after this and then Woman Like Me initially not clicking with me. Thankfully they turned it around completely and now I stan more than ever. This song too eventually grew on me after LM5's release. Still not a LM fave though.

Chiddy Bang

Chidera Anamege, now known by his stage name Chiddy Bang, is an American hip hop recording artist. Prior to its breakup, Chiddy Bang was an American hip hop duo consisting of Anamege, under the stage name Chiddy, and Noah Beresin, under the stage name Xaphoon Jones. The duo was introduced by former band member Zachary Sewall in late 2008 while the two were studying at Drexel University. Anamege's sound is based on the fusion of hip hop and alternative. In 2013, Beresin left the group to focus on producing, and Anamege became a solo artist, with Beresin playing the role as frequent collaborator.

??? Opposite Of Adults
707 Ray Charles

Opposite of Adults is one of my all-time favourite song and will be appearing very high in this countdown.Ray Charles, one the other hand, is nowhere near as good of a song and has it's fair share of naff lyrics but the samples and production make it such a great listen. It's one of those that it's impossible to have a bad time listening to. It seems the official video has disappeared from YouTube though sad.gif

Surprised that Calvin isn't any higher for you but great to see so many songs in your Top 1000 nonetheless! Opposite of Adults is a tune, as is Cocoon (no I didn't intend that to rhyme oops)

You should be a poet laugh.gif Feels probably should have been higher but over than that I think all of Calvin's best work came in the 2000's. He would have been much higher if I was doing a chart for that decade with The Girls, Dance Wiv Me, Acceptable In The 80's etc.

Thanks for commenting Pete, I do appreciate it biggrin.gif

Childish Gambino

Donald McKinley Glover Jr. (born September 25, 1983) is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, director, musician, artist and DJ. He performs music under the stage name Childish Gambino and as a DJ under the name mcDJ.

After working on Derrick Comedy while studying at New York University, Glover was hired at age 23 by Tina Fey as a writer for the NBC sitcom 30 Rock. He later rose to fame for portraying college student Troy Barnes on the NBC sitcom Community. Since 2016, Glover stars in the FX series Atlanta, which he created and occasionally directs. In film acting, Glover has appeared in a number of commercially successful films including science fiction film The Martian (2015), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and as the young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). He also provided the voice of adult Simba in the remake of the Disney film The Lion King (2019).

In May 2018, Glover released the song and music video "This Is America", which debuted at number-one on the Hot 100. The song won four Grammy Awards at the 2019 edition: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Music Video.

??? 3005
??? Break Your Heart Right Back (Ariana Grande ft Childish Gambino)
??? Redbone
??? Sweatpants (ft Problem)
274 This Is America
286 Monster (21 Savage ft Childish Gambino)
461 Sober
557 Feels Like Summer

Gambino has managed an impressive four songs in my top 250 of the decade but also has two very close misses as well. The aforementioned 21 Savage feature on Monster and his 4-time Grammy winning song 'This Is America' (2018, #2, EOY #21). The video is certainly one of the most iconic of the 2010's with a shirtless Gambino doing silly dances while getting intercut with mass violence and shootings. I think most people agree that the video is massively effective but it a lot of people think the song, outside of the video, isn't that good. However, I disagree. I think the soulful vibe of the song, accompanied by the choir and the adlibs from a range of other rappers (Young Thug, 21 Savage, Rae Sremmurd, BlocBoy JB & Quavo) make it a treat to listen to alongside being a highly important and proactive statement against mass shootings and police brutality.

Sober (2015, #3, EOY #50) is another side to Gambino entirely. A very smooth and quieter side to him that it like medicine for your ears. One to listen to when you just want to get lost in the music. Feels Like Summer (2018, #6, EOY #59) is a song with a similar vibe to Sober but with added social commentary! On first listen you may be mistaken for thinking its just a relaxing summer jam to chill to and the video support this, showing Gambino walk down the street and overseeing famous rappers and R&B stars playing together like children on a summer's day. However on closer inspection of the lyrics, you'll see references to global warming, deforestation, overpopulation, pollution, and even the dwindling number of bees. The song was recently included on his latest album 3.15.20, titled '42.26' and I've fell in love with it even more. With the album boost, I would now have probably placed this in my top 250.

Chingiz

Chingiz Mustafayev (Azerbaijani: Çingiz Mustafayev; born 11 March 1991) is a Russian-born Azerbaijani singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He represented Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Truth", finishing eighth.

988 Truth

Truth (2019, #7) is the first(?) Eurovision song to appear in this countdown. This is one of three to appear from last year's Eurovision, although, spoiler alert, they are all in the bottom 50 songs. This one appears between the other 2 and is an annoyingly catchy song. It only managed 2 weeks in my chart because Eurovison always seems to happen just as there is a major shake-up in my chart. Last year it coincided with my attendace at the a Blackpink concert which boosted a lot of their songs and also the release of two albums I loved: Tyler, The Creator's Igor & Skepta's Ignorance Is Bliss. This song's week at #11 will remain the highest a Eurovison song has been in my chart for another year at least. ohmy.gif I believe Azernbaijan is also tied as the most successful Eurovision nation in my chart as their is another Azerbaijani entrant to come.

Chipmunk / Chip

Jahmaal Noel Fyffe (born 26 November 1990), better known by his stage name Chip (previously known as Chipmunk), is a British rapper and songwriter from Tottenham, North London. In 2009, he released his debut album, I Am Chipmunk, featuring four songs which peaked in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, including the chart-topping "Oopsy Daisy". n December 2011, Chipmunk announced that he would be shortening his stage name to "Chip", under the advice and instruction of T.I.

??? Game Over (Tinchy Styder ft Giggs, Professor Green, Tinie Tempah, Devlin, Example & Chipmunk)
478 Pow 2011 (Lethal Bizzle ft Jme, Wiley, Chipmunk, Face, P Money, Ghetts & Kano)
558 Champion (ft Chris Brown)
802 Until You Were Gone (ft Esmée Denters)
990 Call Me In The Morning (The Streets ft Chip & Grim Sickers)

Champion is a song that would have been very high if I was making this chart in the early 2010's but has just kept rapidly falling down until it has landed here at 558. I can't believe it's actually from the last decade, if feels so old and dated, more so than any other song in the top 1000. I enjoyed Chris Brown's verse when I was 13 but it comes off terribly now, especially the rhyme "Award shows, I poured my heart out and people still steady trynna point my flaws out". I've just found out that the remix included a verse from J. Cole and I now no longer know what is real. ohmy.gif

Until You Were Gone is another song from Chip(munk) that hasn't aged well. I still like Esmee Denter's chorus but the verses are boring. With St Tropez already being a hit in my chart this year, Chip could be coming for songs that would/will appear in my EOD chart from the 00's, 10's & 20's which is impressive for someone who started out as a bit of a joke.

Chris Brown

Christopher Maurice Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. Having signed with Jive Records in 2004, Brown released his self-titled debut studio album the following year, which became certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With his first single "Run It!" peaking atop the Billboard Hot 100, Brown became the first male artist since 1997 to have his debut single top the chart. In 2009, Brown received significant media attention after pleading guilty to felony assault of his then girlfriend, singer Rihanna.

Brown has sold over 140 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling music artists. Throughout his career, Brown has won several awards, including a Grammy Award, 15 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and six Soul Train Music Awards. According to Billboard, Brown has the seventh most Billboard Hot 100 entries with 93.

413 Only (Nicki Minaj ft Drake, Lil Wayne & Chris Brown)
517 Questions
558 Champion (Chipmunk ft Chris Brown)
811 Five More Hours (Deorro & Chris Brown)

Chris Brown is a pretty despicable person, but I've always been an advocate of separating art from it's artist, and he has released some absolute bangers. The only lead credit he has outside the top 250 is Questions (2017, #5, EOY #79). I love Kevin Lyttle's original 'Turn Me On' and this just sounds like someone having fun and freestyling the song which makes it pretty infectious to listen to. It's much better than the Cheat Codes rubbish released the same year at least.

~

Also I did decide to change the position of Feels and it was hard work but everything should be right now.

Christine & The Queens

Héloďse Adelaďde Letissier (born 1 June 1988), professionally known as Christine and the Queens or simply Chris, is a French singer, songwriter and producer. Letissier has been signed to the independent record label Because Music since 2012. Their debut album, Chaleur humaine (2014), was named one of the best albums of the year by The Guardian, The Independent, Mojo, and NME.

794 Tilted

I think Tilted (2016, #4, EOY #89) was a bit of a surprise hit for us all in 2016. I have no idea what the last French-language hit before that would have been but a performance on Graham Norton alongside some radio airplay was all it needed to catch on. My Dad loved her TV performance so much that it was all he talked about for a couple of weeks laugh.gif I never loved it in the way most people did but I do really like it. Good choreography + good song = good hit.

Clean Bandit

Clean Bandit are a British electronic music band, formed in Cambridge in 2008. The band consists of members Grace Chatto, and brothers Jack and Luke Patterson after Neil Amin-Smith left in 2016. Many of their projects are known for blending elements of both classical and dance music, and featuring guest vocalists. Notable collaborators include Demi Lovato, Jess Glynne, Anne Marie, Sean Paul and Zara Larsson.

In January 2014, they scored their first UK chart topping single with "Rather Be", a collaboration with Jess Glynne. The song also reached number ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 2015, the song won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The band's debut album New Eyes was released in June 2014Their 2016 single "Rockabye", which features Jamaican artist Sean Paul and singer Anne-Marie, became their second number one hit in the UK and the Christmas number one single for 2016. As of 2016, Clean Bandit have sold over 13 million singles and 1.6 million albums worldwide.

276 Mozart's House
504 Rather Be (ft Jess Glynne)

Clean Bandit are one of the largest success stories in the 2010's with their unique blend of classic and dance music providing us with a new sound and taking over the world. Mozart's House (2013, #2, EOY #32) was their first taste of chart success and remains my favourite of theirs. This unsurprisingly incorporates Mozart and sounds like something I had never heard before nor since. Their other hit here Rather Be (2014, #1, EOY #31) is much more generic but is what truly allowed them to break through in a massive way. The song was absolutely everywhere and it got to the point where I just could not listen to it anymore. Now the hype has died down I am beginning to enjoy it again.

CNCO

CNCO is a Latin American boy band formed on the first season of La Banda of which they went on to win. The group is composed of Joel Pimentel, Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez, and Zabdiel De Jesús. After touring with Ricky Martin, they released their first album, Primera Cita on August 26, 2016, which included the hit "Reggaetón Lento (Bailemos)".

??? Reggaetón Lento (CNCO & Little Mix)

I mainly love Reggaetón Lento because of Little Mix but CNCO do deserve some credit. They do sound good on the track and, vocaly, work well with Little Mix. They look ridiculously young in the video compared to them though laugh.gif The song will feature in my top 250.

Coldplay

Coldplay are a British rock band that was formed in London in 1996. Consisting of Vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion, Coldplay met at University College London and began playing music together from 1996 to 1998, first calling themselves Pectoralz and then Starfish before finally changing settling on their band name. Creative director and former manager Phil Harvey is often referred to as the fifth member by the band.

Coldplay have won numerous awards throughout their career, including nine Brit Awards, six MTV Video Music Awards, seven MTV Europe Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards from 29 nominations. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. In December 2009, Rolling Stone readers voted the group the fourth-best artist of the 2000s, and Q magazine included the group in their Artists Of The Century list.

753 Magic

I've always thought of Coldplay as being a bit boring but they do every now and then release a good tune. 'Viva La Vida' was a favourite of mine in the late 2000's but their only hit on the last decade is Magic (2014, #8). I don't know what elevates this song above the rest but I really feel the emotion in this one and the hook gets stuck in my head. I was surprised by how good Coldplay actually were live when I saw them at One Love Manchester, although I do still find their studio releases a tad dull.

Conor Maynard

Conor Paul Maynard (born 21 November 1992) is an English singer, songwriter, and YouTuber. Born and raised in Brighton, he signed a recording contract with Warner Music Group in 2011. Maynard rose to fame in 2012 when his debut album, Contrast, was released. This produced the successful single “Can't Say No".

643 R U Crazy

R U Crazy (2013, #2, EOY #57) is a song that, unsurprisingly, I haven't listened to nearly at-all since 2013 but I did find it a guilty pleasure at the time. It's easily the best song of his even if it is a bit naff. The falsetto part is horrible laugh.gif Who remembered that Conor Maynard actually had a #1 album? ohmy.gif I certainly didn't.

Cover Drive

Cover Drive are a four-piece band from Barbados consisting of Amanda Reifer, T-Ray Armstrong, Barry "Bar-Man" Hill and Jamar Harding. They have gained commercial success in the United Kingdom and are best know for their number one single "Twilight".

Twilight was a shock #1 back in 2012 which I remember being really disliked but I've no idea why. I think it's a fun summery anthem with some really nice chill vibes. Like 'R U Crazy' this feels like such a forgotten hit now.

Craig David

Craig Ashley David (born 5 May 1981) is a British singer, songwriter, rapper, DJ and record producer who rose to fame in 1999, featuring on the single "Re-Rewind" by Artful Dodger. David's debut studio album, Born to Do It, featured twp #1 singles was released in 2000, after which he has released a further five studio albums. 649 When The Bassline Drops (ft Big Narstie)

When The Bassline Drops (2015, #4, EOY #37) was the song that re-established David as a credible artist after Bo Selecta had made him a mockery and affected his chart potential for years afterwards. This went back to his garage roots and got him an unexpected top 10 smash. The only appearance from Big Narstie who seems to have went into TV nowadays.

Mozart's House is a tune, definitely better than Rather Be for me as well (but I prefer some of the other songs on that album as well oops) Love a bit of Tilted as well, delighted it hit the mainstream in what was pretty much the stalest chart year in existence!

Mozart's House is so good. I'd forgotten just how good it was in fact. Tilted certianly stands out amongst the few tracks that were popular in 2016.

Cyrah & The Gregory Brothers

The Gregory Brothers are an American musical quartet specialising in comedy music and pitch correction through their YouTube channel Schmoyoho. The three Gregory brothers, drummer/keyboardist Michael, guitarist/bassist Andrew Rose and keyboardist Evan, originated from Radford, Virginia, moved to Brooklyn, New York in the mid-2000s and met guitarist/bassist Sarah Fullen (who married Evan in 2009) in the local music scene.

They are best known for their creation of musical viral videos, most notably the "Winning" song that won a 2012 Comedy Award, their Songify the News series (formerly known as Auto-Tune the News), and the "Bed Intruder Song" that received over 141 million YouTube views and entered the Billboard Hot 100.

800 DJ Play Me Song Now (No, Leave Me Alone) (feat. DeStorm)

I used to enjoy the Gregory Brother's songified videos and when I saw they had a video with PSY I checked it out and found it quite funny. DJ Play My Song (No, Leave Me Alone) (2013, #9, EOY #76) is a video I haven't seen in years and it's lucky to have made this list to be honest. I'm not quite sure where the crediting of this comes from seeming that it's just The Gregory Brothers (I guess Cyrah is meant to be Sarah).

In October 2016, he released his debut studio album, Big Baby DRAM.

??? Broccoli (ft Lil Yachty)

Broccoli is one of those songs that just instantly improves my mood every time I hear it. It's so joyful (even with the Yachty questionable verse) and will feature very highly indeed.

D'banj

Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo (born 9 June 1980), better known by his stage name D'banj, is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, rapper, entrepreneur and television personality. He has won several music awards, including the awards for Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009, Best International Act: Africa at the 2011 BET Awards, and Best-selling African Artist at the 2014 World Music Awards, Evolution award at the 2015 MTV Africa Music awards

He adopted the stage name D'banj, a combination of his first name, Dapo, and his surname, Oyebanjo. D'banj is currently best known internationally for his 2012 summer hit "Oliver Twist", an uptempo dance fusion of Afrobeats and electronic dance music that topped the African charts in 2011 and was a top 10 hit in the UK singles chart in 2012

??? Oliver Twist

I didn't realise how high I ranked this. Oliver Twist will be appearing in top 250 ohmy.gif One of the better one hit wonders of the last decade for me. This is so infectious and I prefer it to anything Fuse ODG ended up coming up with.
