I think this is her debut solo single, apparently. Pretty good on first listen, I do think she could be a new Jessie J type figure. I was hoping for more of a Yasmin/Katy B direction for her, but this was inevitable! Looking forward to hearing more from her I think this could be huge.... |

I like it but I was hoping/expecting for something a bit more urban personally. Still decent even if it is just a complete ripoff of Last Friday Night/Domino.

Not sold. Can't this girl do something that's interesting? A Katy B/Yasmin direction would have been nice. I'm not getting anything interesting yet. She does have potential, not seeing that here.
Will probably be big if pushed though. |

This is only her US single.
The debut single for the UK samples Nneka's Heartbeat, and features Tinie Tempah - which I think shows she'll be going in more of an urban direction than this, but it's a safe debut for the US market. I have good sources for this information |

this is okay, but I much prefer 'hot right now'. her voice sounds really good though so I eagerly await her UK single.

I knew about the Tinie Tempah feature but I wasn't aware Rita's UK single samples 'Heartbeat' - VERY EXCITED for it now hearing that information. I loved Heartbeat. (Mostly the Chase & Status remix naturally but I liked the original version as well).

More details for the first UK single, it's called 'RIP', written by Drake, produced by Chase & Status and Stargate - further pointing this towards being a lot more edgy than this.

Here's 'R.I.P'! So good! Could this topic be just changed a Rita Ora general topic please, think it'd be more appropriate? This post has been edited by ROBOT: 29th February 2012, 04:42 PM |

This is amazing on first listen Only gripe is the sample sounds a little bit out of place at times.

AMAZING. This is what I wanted her debut to be like, not that Katy Perry rip off.

She is so overrated Both 'Party & Bullshit' and 'R.I.P' are so boring! And she's not exactly vocally there either.

I'm not quite sure about the track overall on first listen but I'm sure it'll grow as I really like the use of sample.

I'm not to sure, I feel this may be a grower. Is it just me that feels the vocal doesn't sound quite right with the instrumental?

it sounds weird because Drake wrote and released this song ages ago and now she's releasing it as a single:

Bit of a boring song. The sample kicks life in to it.
