Really like the new song - I’m surprised with how the album has performed considering he’s achieved hit after hit this era, it’s chart run so far is similar to that of his debut, the newly released expanded version should return it to the charts though.

As I said hopefully the expanded edition will restore it to the charts and help it sell through Q4. |

It's only 2 top 10 hits, 'By Your Side' isn't on the album. The album having exactly 2 songs that are orders of magnitude more popular than everything else means that it still doesn't generate particularly large streaming units per week because the top 2 songs have their numbers weighted down for that exact reason - it's clearly not an album that people are very invested in as a whole. Looking at his current top 10 songs on Spotify, 5 of them are different versions of 'By Your Side', 1 is an alternate version of 'Little Bit Of Love' and 1 is a song from his previous album, which leaves the only other track from his actual current album as 'This Is The Place' sneaking in 8th. Most of the album tracks have still not even reached 1 million streams in total on Spotify!

(wow I was just about to post in this thread, funny it's been bumped just minutes before when the last post before that was over 3 weeks ago)
I've noticed since my last post that 'By Your Side' was actually tagged onto the album for its re-release and as if by magic it's now been in the top 40 for the few weeks since then. Really highlights how big the difference between an album with 2 hits and an album with 3 hits is under the current OCC rules. If only Måneskin had tagged 'Beggin'' onto their album. In other news actually pleasantly surprised at how much I am liking 'Don't Break The Heart', easily the best song I have heard from him to date - seems to be rising quite quickly on Apple Music at the moment so I'd be here for it giving him another hit. |

I think he’s performing on Strictly on Sunday, so should mean Don’t Break the Heart should get a boost…
Although I guess it depends what he performs
