New single from Anton Powers featuring Pixie Lott called Baby that's out Friday, and from the preview it sounds very good - a bit orchestral like something Clean Bandit would do, but it does have that distinct Anton sound to it from what we can hear so far biggrin.gif

So excited for the full version of this, Alone No More and Love You Better were both massive bangers.

Well this sounds good, you know as a fan of mid 00s dance that I like string samples in dance music biggrin.gif, especially short sharp samples like this one appears to use. dance.gif

Looking forward to hearing the song in full when it comes out, Anton's standing at Capital and Pixie's presence might give this the powers to do well!

The combination of the violins plus Pixie singing in that preview of the start of the song reminds me a bit of the start of 'Bright Lights'. I really liked Bright Lights, it was my favourite Pixie song so that's good!

Oh my lord why did I think for a second when I read the name it was that awful guy from the X Factor the other year who was in the overs and sang that god awful mash up of All About That Bass and Bang Bang rotf.gif That was Anton Stephans, nothing even alike.

Apparently Pixie is performing this on The Voice on Saturday! There's a chance she could have another top 40 hit here, I didn't think she'd ever manage that again.

I'm not getting my hopes up but I don't think a "Club Banger" is the type of music to get Pixie recognition again, although I've not heard the song. If anything I would have been hoping for a 'Turn It Up' sort of song especially as she's managed a fantastic promotional slot and I don't even know who Anton Powers is sad.gif

He's the producer of this UK #4 hit. Also known for being a member of production group Cahill.
