We all know that Shawn's third album was littered with potential missed opportunities in terms of singles (notably around the period where Nervous and Youth could have done something, but his team just... didn't do anything to help them along).

But, would you have changed anything about the order of the singles that we did get? Would you have added any other songs into the mix? Would he have had much success beyond In My Blood anyway? What would the campaign have been like for you in an ideal world? Discuss! biggrin.gif

The official singles from the album for reference:

1. In My Blood
2. Lost in Japan (Remix)
Re-issue
3. If I Can't Have You
4. Señorita

1. In My Blood
2. Nervous (with a FULL PUSH around May)
3. Lost In Japan (remix, late summer, VMAs performance)
4. Youth (late winter single)

then If I Can't Have You and Senorita could've provided him with 6 smash hits without losing any momentum!

Those would probably be my picks too, making for a solid campaign with the right amount of support from streaming and the label wanting it to be a success, etc.

If we're being completely unrealistic, my fantasy campaign would probably have been something like this:

1. In My Blood
2. Nervous
3. Where Were You in the Morning?
4. Lost in Japan (Remix)
5. Like to Be You
6. Youth

and then of course If I Can't Have You and Señorita following on being released when they were.

Nervous should have gotten a push around July but then everything else seems to be fine. I think four singles pre-reissue would have been more of a detriment than a benefit to the era.
